rm -r /etc/vmware/license.cfg
cp /etc/vmware/.#license.cfg /etc/vmware/license.cfg
/etc/init.d/vpxa restart

To move the CBT files and consolidate snapshots:

SSH to Host
Navigate to the VM folder using this command: cd /vmfs/volumes/datastore/virtual_machine/
Create a temporary directory for the CBT files. mkdir temp
Move the CBT files to temp directory. mv *-ctk.vmdk temp/
Run the snapshot consolidation again.
