Did you know that Sunday, December 3rd was a supermoon and the only one in 2017? Wikipedia says this about supermoons: “A supermoon is a full moon or a new moon that approximately coincides with the closest distance that the Moon reaches to Earth in its elliptic orbit, resulting in a larger-than-usual apparent size of the lunar disk as seen from Earth.” Two supermoons will occur in January 2018, on January 1st and 31st.
