    Yesterday when I went to the hair dressers I got bit by their cat. πŸ™ It didn’t really hurt but he pounced on my foot and digged his teeth in. When I got home we cleaned it up though. I’m surprised it didn’t hurt

    aanp, I closed the compliment contest because it opened 3days ago (posts close automatically here after 3days πŸ™‚ ) I could keep it open but we wanted things to get moving a little faster.     My plans for this weekend are unclear. We were going to go to the “A” town 2 hours away but then my uncle invited us to go to a different town – 5 hours away. I’m not a outdoors type girl at all so I wanted to go to the “A” town to shop but my Sis wants to go camping and stuff. My Dad got all made and said he just cant “figuire women out at all”.     sorry about the over priced webbies, Donder.. we have that too, I won’t buy from Justice without a coupon for that reason… if many places can sell for $15 each so can they and they buy more so definitely have a good price and are just jacking the price up because they can, won’t buy clothes there either.. WAY over priced and no better than Walmart, we can get 2-4 times as many clothes for the same amount of money..

    My mom made jelly. She usually makes strawberry jelly but she didn’t this year. Instead she had to make blueberry jelly. Igh. Then she froze like loads of blueberries and i went to get a bag of blueberries out of the freezer and they are NASTY. Even thawed. -_- Blueberries are good NOT messed with.
    I hate blueberry pie, blueberry jelly, and all the other blueberry stuff.

    How to Stop Your Child From Picking Their Nose

    1 – Find the Triggers: Most bad habits are caused by a trigger, or an event that makes the child feel compelled to pick her nose. When you find the pattern of behavior that is caused by a specific event or series of events then you can begin to work on modifying or eliminating the bad habit.

    2 – Types of Triggers: There are various events that can cause a child to want to pick her nose, of which can include: stress, trauma, allergies, illness, curiosity, copying, boredom or a lack of self-esteem.

    3 – Once Triggers have been Identified: Do not scold your child for the bad habit. Scolding will most likely make her want to continue the habit in a more secluded area in an effort to avoid the attention. Scolding may also further increase the child’s level of stress, causing an escalation of the behavior instead of a cessation.

    4 – Replace Scolding: Support your child and ask her if she has anything that needs to be talked about. In addition, when you see the behavior, try to pull her aside quietly and remind your child that it is not polite to pick one’s nose in public. By reminding her quietly the odds are that she will recognize the behavior as unacceptable in public, as opposed to publicly scolding and embarrassing, which may cause further tension.

    JR was in his first track meet last friday night – for background

    He was in four events with 40 children for his age group.
    1st place for Shot Put.
    2nd place for 800m race (that’s twice around a regulation high school track)
    3rd place for the Javelin Throw
    3rd place for the 400m race.
    2nd place Hurdles.

    I was very proud, and he had a lot of fun. I told him I would still be proud even if he had dropped the shot put on his foot.

    madi – when parents start with the sacrifice and Love stuff, that’s coming on pretty strong. Sorry for your predicament.

    Naki – I adopted JD as my niece after Krafty became my adopted daughter (I think Krafty is only in it for the allowance), but jd loves her M&D, so naturally I could only be her adopted uncle. It’s all very confusing especially since while doing the paperwork, I also adopted momskinz.

    JD – this is hilarious -“whenever i read ANY poem at all i always think of it in dr suess style” before I met Naki, Dr. Suess was my favorite poet. πŸ™‚
