Look at this PSI!   I was hoping this type of bed would be a new superbed, but it is a fantastic PSI. It is JUST what I have been wanting! 😀

Wow that is a very cute bird! I’m restaining myself to one pet every 2 months or when I’m weak, one pet per month. But I don’t NEED any of the May releases (thank goodness), but I need the springer spaniel in June! 😆 So i doubt that birdie will be joining my family. I hope to see it jion your family though!

I love the oriole’s PSI, it is about time!!
I love the new estore items and yes moms.. that would have been a good PSI
they could do a lot with outdoor theme items, an asian theme yard would be great off the asian theme room decor.. etc..
I don’t think the sig chimp item is anywhere near as good as the slide for the panda… noise makers, I don’t want (I have two cute kids for that, lol) like playground.. swing set.. with climbing, swinging.. would have been better

Happy Monday Everyone! I hope all the moms were spoiled.
It was not much of a Webkinz weekend at our house. The pool is now open weekends. Between bike riding, baseball, cub scouts, tennis and the pool (and spoiling jr’s mom) it was a busy weekend.
Jr said he is going to get the Oriole. The birds have been hard to find nearby.
Looks like Ganz listened to our ideas for a boat ride. If it’s a good size, that would be nice.

Forgot to tell you everyone that a toy store owner said that Ganz now limits how many pets each store can buy, so if they decide to order the “value” assortment pets, it cuts back on how many new pets they can buy. Each store has to decide months ahead of time which to buy and guess which will be popular.
So, if you owned a store would you buy the new pets that you could sell at the regular price or the value assortment pets?
I understand why I have not seen any “value” boxes anywhere.

I just realized the Castle is called “Castle Sets” and will be sold in pieces.
I would love to see the sales figures from the eStore. We do our best to stimulate the economy buying newly released webkinz. We just can’t keep up with everything being released. 🙁
We love the animated items, but I wonder why they are not being released with the Signature pets…

I want to clarify my comments about the eStore.
I am genuinely happy for those that enjoy the eStore and those that are enjoying their Deluxe memberships. My comments should never be taken as a put down for folks enjoying these Webkinz options. I can share your fun and do share in your joy over a new item or pet.
I am disappointed in Ganz due to seeing so many nicer items being available in the eStore instead of being available as PSIs for plush pets.
I must admit that lately, about half of the PSIs are nice – the Signature Panda, Zebra, Cherry Blossom Bird and Oriole all have very nice PSIs. But still the majority of PSI’s do not compare to the releases in the eStore.
I only get upset when I see my seven year old son sad that a Woolly Mammoth is an eStore pet and not a plush. Sorry to vent.
You all are wonderful and I wanted to make sure I did not offend.

These DO cost Ganz money. You have to pay someone to do the computer graphics, you have to pay an artist, you have to pay someone to activate the codes for them to work and you have to have someone run the webkinz estore website. They are still making a pretty good profit, but its not like all you have to do is color in a picture and you’re done. Why are estore items way better than the psis? Because you are paying for the computer animation they put into the estore item. I’m am personally not a fan of the estore because my momma is certainly not paying for a little virtual item. And I SO rather get a new eye shadow or aeropostale shirt than something that I will eventually get bored of. I mean it may be a good gift for a kid younger than me cause I’m almost out of webkinz.

I appreciate your response. sorry to hear you’re almost grown out of webkinz, but it is all about where you want to spend your money. I know cost goes into the programming, not to mention the research, time for drawings / approvals / revisions, etc.
I just feel they are getting away from the core buisness of plush animals and vitual rewards for those plush animals.

No I’m not gone. I left for a minute. They aren’t really getting anyway from plush animals because that’s really where they make most of their money. They are most like expanding to selling virtual items, to “enhance” the overall experience one is given on webkinz world.

FLowiing, yes Ganz has to pay the designers of the items BUT only once, once the design is set they are not paid for each pet sold. Ganz has to pay a factory for EACH plushie made, that is the difference.
I worked for a floral importer and we brought in plushies as well from different countries. The items from Italy cost the most but were very high quality and very life like. The items from Korea were very well made and very soft plush fabric. Taiwan was a step down, still nice but not as high quality, then China as that is the cheapest labor and fastest producers. So when a company wants to mass produce at the lowest cost.. they will usually chose China, cheapest labor and don’t care so much about what is produced as long as it is ready to ship. This is why we have so many flaws, imperfections and so many variations in the workmanship of the webbies. Very little quality control.
Amen to Dad’s comments on the estore. I don’t think anyone could misunderstand your intentions and comments. All the sig PSI’s should have been as grand as the panda slide.. a boom box isn’t it. I don’t know what the golden retrievers item is off hand.
I still think your idea to have a month deluxe go with the sig pet adoption is great, they should, that would then much more justify the price of the pets. We have been lucky to find them for $25. I won’t pay $30.

Flowiing
Maybe you have some old clothing, anything is better than not having it done.
Stuff the pillow sleeve with old clothing to make overstuffed pillows for a child or teen’s room. Be sure to remove any buttons or zippers from the clothing before stuffing so that the pillows will be comfortable to sit and lay on. can’t stay, but just saw flowiing’s pillow problem – you can stuff a mylar balloon! Sew the bottom part where you stuff it closed so you get credit for sewing . . . there’s the momskinz tip of the day 😆

my first wedding was sort of largish.. 5 attendants each I think it was plus flower girl and ring bearer…
I made a cross stitch sampler for my first husband, still have it in storage.. cross stitched the ring pillow, made the earrings, my jewelry…
