hey Gymbo & momskinz – in honor of the griffon release, can we have a comment contest for designing new webkinz. We would need to name which animal front we would use and which animal back, then the new name.
For example: Use the front of a Tree Frog and tha back of a Spotted Turtle and you get a TreeTurtle.
Or another: Use the front of an Elephant and the back of a Rhino…
What do you get? Elephino.
(You have to say it real slowly… El if I know.)

KG – what are you reading? can you share a title?
I wouldn’t know how to share my recipe entry with you all. It was basically a red robot with rockets made into a soda bottle. I am making it sound dumb, but I think we also lost because I did it on the computer and all the winners were hand drawn.
In naming rooms, jr always gives the room names the names of his pets. So, even though the pets might have more than one room, he can keep track fo the rooms better. For example, his next adoption (Zebra probably) will be the new room that is just released. He already has three jungles, so the Zebra and the new room theme will stay in his mind (as they are released concurrently). He has a lot of “pet name” bedroom and “pet name” playroom” etc.
Ganz really did not help by making the room names a drop down menu.

Hey everyone.
Sleeping was a struggle again last night. I will NEVER allow myself to get sunburned again. I was up every half hour or more. Can’t lay on my back or my sides…. I had to lay face down, couldn’t hug my pillow. MISERABLE. I was up at 4am taking 2 Aleve and within 20 minutes I was sound asleep. My shoulders are starting to peel today but are still super painful which makes it really bad when it’s itching like crazy. 😯 I’m gonna go nuts. 😯

Alisha – you poor baby. i feel so sorry for you. my old trick was to place a pillow near the airconditioning vent, then place the cold pillow on my sore spots. see if your local drugstore has aloe vera cream. Tonight, take the advil first!

It is the plain old regular frog. We buy our webbie plush for $12.49, so it is unklikely we will spend $15 to get one for $1 since they are older pets. Too bad.

Alisha – you probably have heard all this before, but if you can go and buy an aloe plant… or just buy the aloe gel already made. 🙂
Assess the degree of the burn. First-degree burns are red and swollen but superficial, while second-degree burns are deeper and feature blisters. First- and second-degree burns can be treated at home, but third-degree burns are very severe and require immediate medical attention.
Break off a leaf from an aloe vera plant and cut it lengthwise. Choose a plump leaf from the outer edge of the plant because aloe plants grow from the inside out.
Scoop out the inside of the aloe leaf, including the clear sap and the pulp, with a spoon.
Mash the aloe leaf contents into a paste.
Apply aloe vera gel paste to the burn when it has cooled down sufficiently. Aloe vera gel has analgesic properties that can help with the pain of the burn, and the anti-inflammatory properties can prevent swelling from causing additional pain and blood restriction.
Continue to apply aloe vera gel until the burn heals.
Use aloe vera gel to help diminish burn scars. Aloe vera gel promotes cell regeneration and can help skin grow back healthy.
I felt that the important info here was to keep using Aloe Gel of some kind even after the pain is gone to help with the healing.

I emailed gymbo this morning and vented. I was not going to post my frustration here, because I am sure you have all been there, but here is some of what I shared.
I had bad, I mean really bad, experiences in the trading room last night. I was offered food for exclusives several times. Then several pets that had nice stuff were just teasing with it. Display & remove, display and remove. I had three people that thought it was funny to keep switching the faces on what I would put up from green to red, then back to green to red.
I just said “have fun!” to each meanie and left after several bad experiences.
I did get to see the new griffon and zebra. The zebra looks like it has grey hair! It is adorable. I am undecided about the griffon.

Yes, i a=have to learn to be faster at switching rooms and just leaving trading for another day when I get two in a row.
Be careful with Amazon shiipping. We ordered from a vendor along with an Amazon order and we when we got to check out the Amazon stuff was free (under that $25 rule), but the other item from a vendor showed a separate shipping cost. They do have awesome prices on some of the kinz.
It is tempting as most stores near us are sold out of all the cute Lil’ kinz.

I have honestly thought about going into business. Buy them up, mark them up and sell at a profit. But, I would hate myself.
The only store close by that used to have trading cards never does any more. All becuase of one lady that buys all the boxes when they come in. I tried to describe what I thought Gymbo would look like and the clerk said it wasn’t her. 😆

WK jr’s are tooo much for us. They are really cute and really soft. jr hugged and hugged them in the store. But even a seven year old said they cost too much. He asked, “Why would Ganz want to sell one animal for $30, when they could sell three for $30?” He thought a minute, then smiled and said, “Oh, I get it. They make a lot of money at Ganz, don’t they?”
He would rahter buy three for $30. I just wish the signature pets were $19.99. It would be very tempting.

i would not have the retraint to open TC cards slowly if I got a box.
There was a lot of junk with the codes for TC1, right? We got food two times and no items with teh two packs of TC1 jr got.
jr has traded for all of his TC1 items (with the exception of this site’s kindness and giving). he nearly has his TC 1 room done and wants to work on the Gaming Room theme and get moving on TC2 theme.

I heard that getting a complete set was impossible. Gymbo, momskinz and tmt have been unbelievably kind to jr. He had nothing, but adoption gifts and PSIs. Everyone here has treated jr with kindess in trades and gifts.
What do you think about having a kinz food drive here? Pick one person from the Gymbo blog family (different each day) and then ten people agree to send them food (either recipes, health food or psf). The people picked do not repeat and the ten people that send are totally voluntary.
I would volunteer to send food for one week. That’s only seven kinzposts sent by jr (he can afford it). The people that cannot afford it or do not want to particiapte in gifting don’t need to.
What do ya’ think? is there a need?

ganz should have thought out there pricing to make it affordable for children. I understand business expense and profit margins, but they are going in the opposite direction of making kinz affordable by kids.

JR’s Dad- The people on this blog has always supported me in every way.
They are always kind and caring and I don’t know what I would have done without them this past year.
My hubby has cancer and this blog is what kept me sane. The operation and recovery were very difficult.

I got the boxes of cards I bought as birthday and Mother’s day presents. Would of spent about that much money anyway on something else and I waited until the prices went down a little. Don’t worry guys as someone who has bought cards by the box before you didn’t say anything that made me think you were ragging on box buyers. 😉 That does seem silly buying the boxes at a retail store. The point of buying by the box is to get them cheaper. I was going to get a box of tc4 for Mother’s day but the prices haven’t gone down yet so I’ll get a late Mother’s day gift when they do.

As to how I am feeling much better, mostly. Fell day before yesterday, for no reason my ankle just gave out and my foot turned side ways. Didn’t think I hurt myself other than a scrap and a bruise until it rained today and the limping started. I feel like a big baby, I did what the little kids do multiple times a month with barely a sniffle and here I am whining about it. Science fair tonight and birthday party for the girls this weekend. We have entered the spring craziness zone. I have been MIA because of being busy rather than feeling bad.

Got a deluxe family account today. You can change the colors of your inventory bar. Since we buy from the estore regularly it made sense. I haven’t set foot in the trading room for months too stressful. I might try it in the gold room just to see if it is any better. I doubt it.

A store by us was going out of business and was selling the boxes less than half price, so that is the ONLY reason that I got TC1 . . . shoot, I won’t even usually buy a pack of the other trading cards at the typical retail price 😉

What is it with people that feel they must pull so close to my bumper when I’m pulling out on a hill? I drive a 5 speed and on a hill when I’m at a stop, I either have to ride my clutch a bit and constantly flutter it, or drift back a couple inches and possibly tap the person behind me because they pulled SO CLOSE, and if I did, it would be MY FAULT.
UGH. I’m so sick of it. I’ve drove a standard for 9 years now so it’s not like I’m new to it… but when people do that, it doesn’t make it easy for me in the least. 😡 😡 😡
I drive a standard because IMO it makes you a better, safer, and a more aware driver. No offense to anyone that drives automatics, but there are a lot of people out there that drive them and don’t have a CLUE. 😯

and the same crazy adult who thinks it is cool that the rare is at 9 am tomorrow, so i can see it before i have to leave for said hallmark . . .
and is thrilled that that 9 am rare means 7 pm tonight on asian account, so I don’t miss it or check in the middle of the night . . .

catching up here… no energy at all today and my old body hurts everywhere, lol
Alisha get some 99.9% Pure Cold Aloe Gel and slather it on, take Aleve if you can for any pain, hydrate yourself well and eat comfort foods… I ended up with a 3rd degree burn on my face from being at a flea market and the sun hit me through the rear window of the van (we had it open and sat under it) so the glass magnified the sun AND it was over cast which makes the rays worse… this aloe was like magic

Krafty – I can relate to the body hurts. I didn’t know I had ‘power wash’ muscles and ‘bend to stain the deck’ muscles. I am really paying for very little work because I am not using all my muscles enough.
