Earth Day at the estore + More
Here is some information posted in the Webkinz estore today where one of the items that they are featuring is the Love the Planet Sheep figurine that comes with the Energy Efficient Lamp:
                   
     
 
What do you think about Ganz using Earth Day as a marketing tool for the estore? Do you think they are spinning it to make more money? – OR – Do you think it is exactly right that they are an environmentally conscious company? Let us know your thoughts here!

maybe it is a little shaded but… seems mostly a marketing ploy … earth day fell on a sale day so they are making the most $ of it… should have given all members a tree of some kind

Ganz has announced that a Stone Elephant Statue Replica will be sold at the Ganz eStore (www.ganzetore.com) on Saturday, April 25th.
The original Stone Elephant Statue was an adoption exclusive that was retired from Webkinz World back in May 2006.
Opinion:
I am not sure how much I like the resissue of old items for sale only. I think they should give everyone an opportunity to win one, not buy one.
Does this devalue the original?

jrsdad – yes, these devalue the originals . . . but, they can’t be traded, so only if people are willing to buy them . . . I don’t like the idea because it takes away the uniqueness. At some point, I expect them to sell all the lavas since they retired green so quickly and haven’t released a new exclusive lava . . .

i think it would have been great for them to have a special environmental quizzy’s or something where it would educate everyone on being environmentally friendly, then had a prize at the end or something of a tree

Ganz would gain a lot of my “children first” confidence (that they are quickly losing) if they would give rather than sell for special days!

They should hire you! They should also have child consultants. I would volunteer to provide customer input for free if they would allow. I wonder how many people design the PSI’s and how burned out they are. We have lots of great ideas here on the blog.

i think that this is terrible, some sort of tree should be given or gift that has to do with earth day for FREE. webkinz has to always find a way to charge for everything; even on earth day.

Gymbo – yes he is. He can’t decide on the floor and wallpaper, but he has gathered his books together in his dock. He thinks it will be a bedroom (with the book superbed) and also a reading room with bookcases and small tables and chairs. Momskinz looks really nice.
jr’s reading skills are improving and he wants to be able to get to all of his vitual books (including colring book and puzzle0 in teh same room.
