I’m gonna adopt a Love Monkey in a couple days!! I ordered it and it mite come on Friday!!!!!!!! i don’t know what to name it!!!! i want it to start with an “L”…..i think!!! and it doesn’t have to be valetines related!!!! LOL!!! any ideas?????????

I have been disorganized this year haven’t started wrapping yet. I think I will be resorting to my stack of gift bags for most stuff. Took the girls to see Santa today and got their picture taken. If the girls ever fall asleep I’ll wrap a little tonight.

We lost track of time putting up the tree and then they dragged out getting ready for bed. They are in bed but I can hear moving around and giggling. And now foot steps.

I haven’t been able to get mine to go to sleep before ten in a couple of weeks they are seriously wound up. I am worried about Christmas Eve. I think I will have to use the Santa tracking on the NASA site to get little one to go to sleep again this year.

TMT- when I was little, the tree was never decorated before I went to bed.
I would put a few ornaments on and go to bed. When I woke up and went downstairs to my amazement the tree would be all decorated.
Years later I realized the sacrifice my parents had made.
We decorate my tree before Christmas Eve.

The girls not going to sleep is one of the many reasons I don’t have any wrapping done. The older one has offered to help wrap the little ones gifts tomorrow. The little one wants to help with her sister’s gifts too but I had to decline her assistance. I would like to finish before Christmas. I might let her do one so she doesn’t feel bad.
I only let them ask Santa for one thing and then they can ask us for a few other things.

My little hasn’t got to sleep until late for the past few nights.
She really needs more sleep, but she is so excited.
Tomorrow they have a half day and their Christmas party at school.
They are exchanging a book gift with each other, which I think is a really great idea.

Santa brings most of the gifts here.
We give gifts to the grandkids, but Santa brings the other ones.
I will have to rethink this for next year.

Me too Gymbo I don’t get breakfast until 1 or 2 in the afternoon many days and dinner is at 8 or 9 after I get back from taking girls to activities. I try and feed them before we go but I rarely have time to eat myself. I have trouble falling asleep on an empty stomach anyway.

One of my neighbors gave me the cutest little gift. It was a plate with a chalie brown christmas tree and rudolph the reindeer……….the tree was made from Hailey’s foot and rudolph from Andrew’s foot. very cute!

I remember my stocking stuff from when I was a little girl.

Wow she has school this week. Mine have been done since last Friday.
Yes I think it is that doll. There is water in the toilet and it changes color when the doll goes and it is flushed. Looking forward to seeing the thing in action Christmas morning. We had better get up before the sun comes up so the older one can check out her gift.

Santa fills the stockings and leaves the unwrapped presents by the fireplace. He normally puts toothbrushes, toopaste, candy, stickers, ornaments in the stockings (sometimes he leaves socks or undies 😯 )

Older one was supposed to have a book exchange on Friday but school got snowed out. They were supposed to trade used books but I bought one for her to trade. She rereads her books. They will most likely do it when school starts back up. They were having a Grandparents tea and making gingerbread houses. She was hoping there would be school. The tea is supposed to be rescheduled.

We make a gingerbread house last year and we spent alot of money on candy, cookies and other stuff. We had a great time, but spent too much money.
It was suppose to be a contest, but they just picked a name out of a hat.
We made a dog house with Clifford the Red Dog.
It was really great.

I can’t drink coffee. Gives me a bad head ache and it isn’t the caffeine. I can drink tea no problem. Fortunately I didn’t really like it anyway.

That sounds like a neat gingerbread house.
The kids just picked something to donate off a list and everyone was going to share. She signed us up for gummy bears. I had already sent them in before the snow. My mother in law was attending the tea. They could only invite one adult. Fortunately in this case my Mom lives too far away, that could of been a sticky situation.

I don’t know why but you can never have too many socks they just disappear. I have wide feet since I had the younger one and like the bigger socks now but they are hard to find. Size 9 to 11 just doesn’t fit well.

I usually drink the decaf too. They used to have a Hazelnut Decaf, but they stopped making it, so sometimes I put a flavored creamer in the coffee.

I didn’t think socks would be so hard to find or I would have shopped for them last month.
I was looking for the plain white potholders, so she could put her handprint on them. Still looking and it is getting late. May have to do this next year.

I know they did that in preschool too. If my parents didn’t live a little over and hour away it would of been a really hard choice and someones feelings would of been hurt. My Mom resents how much more the girls get to do with there other grandmother as it is. It would be one thing if one got to do something and the other next time but they don’t even do the tea every year.

I need to make some cookies but I think I’ll wait until week between Christmas and New Year. Since we go to both families and don’t get to spend much time at either one and we never know which dinner we will be on time for if either we don’t have to bring anything to the parties. Feel kind of bad about it but after the year we brought the rolls and everyone was done eating when we got there no one asks anymore. I would bring desert but great grandma on one side and my aunt on the other are the designated desert makers and I could tell I was stepping on toes when I did it.

I love that store, but only when there is a big sale.

Hello Turtles.
We bring stuff to all the other parties. We only do one family with all the other holidays. Used to alternate them but my family doesn’t do parties except the occasional birthday and Christmas anymore. My husband’s family has a gathering every month. We have a specialty we are asked to bring depending on the time of year so what we have to make varies.

I am so lucky, my daughter in law will have us over on Christmas day and do something simple so we can all enjoy ourselves.
We used to have a big dinner with everything, but then we spend so much time on the dinner and cleaning up.
So she plans something simple and we all have a great time.

My husband’s family get together before Christmas and make ravioli from scratch and just boils that up for Christmas dinner and then everyone brings sides. Grandma makes a cake and cookies.
My family does roasts, mash potatoes, corn, salad, rolls and pies.

Peanut Butter Kissies cookies
Frosted sour cream cookies
Amish sugar cookies
M&M cookie bars
Pretzels with a hershey’s kiss melted on it, and an M&M in the center
Everything turned out perfectly! My mother and I have an annual tradition of our cookie baking. Usually we do it a week early, but this year, we did not want the cookies hanging around that long LOL!

Oh momskinz last year I went to a cookie exchange party and it was supposed to homemade cookies, so me and my mother made these real pretty peppermint shortbread cookies and one person bought “pretzels with a hersheyâ€™s kiss melted on it, and an M&M in the center” Not actually totally homemade.

But this past cookie exchange all the moms would stay in there little cliques and be stuck up. (this was in a rich neighborhood) And the pregnant woman that lived next to the host was drinking this alcoholic punch, well she was the only person that would talk to us. And this clique of moms were talking about how it was boring in the cookie room. I was the door person for awhile then it got boring, when when the moms were in the cookie room, I felt very unwelcome. And this mom that lived near the host (rich neighborhood) was bragging about how her son got on medicaid. Um yeah.

good morning. gotta go get groceries but wanted to tell you what happened this morning:
we went to exchange gifts with neighbors for breakfast. Hailey (my 6yr old) started crying because when her little friend fed one of her special webkinz foods to her pet.
So now I’m looking for a black/blue cup with a ghost in it? what is that? anyway that’s how she described it. I don’t keep up with the foods so I dont’ know that is.
Also found out that she sold whatever was on her dock just to make money 🙁 so now she has 22,125kc but she sold retired psis and some exclusives (ouch!!) I told her mommy was not going to get her any more rare webkinz items.
okay heading out. let me know what food she’s talking about. thanks.

dont’ worry about the exclusives, psi’s I think I was more upset about those than she was. She’s all about the foods and clothes so it really hurt her feelings when her friend fed that food to her pet. I had not seen her cry like that for webkinz stuff.
