   Good Morning !

   Hope you all still have power !
   Very windy here as well and temperature is supposed to bottom out throughout the day today.
   Had a nice visit with the kid down the road ! Stopped at his favorite donut place before I jumped on the highway…. and tripped over an asphalt speed bump in the parking lot ! It was still dark outside and parking lot was dark…..fell and injured wrist and knee… Decided I was none worse for wear and continued on.
   Wrist pain worsened throughout the day and remains painful this morning.. Really don’t want to have it checked out yet so will give it a day or two and make decision.

   New NEXT season today ! Flying flakes too !

   moms.. chicken pot pie sounds really good.. I have never made it but used to get a frozen version for my mom which she loved..Just making a shopping list and will stock up before weather gets too bad..

   dee.. you sound well prepared if you should lose power.. Had flashlight ready before I went to bed but so far so good. ! My worry is not have the TV for the game today… or internet…

   April.. Looks like your area was hit pretty hard yesterday ! How much snow did you get ? I know most of the country will be in the deep freeze for several days and not relishing it for sure. I think I saw that Detroit plays ? tomorrow… Good luck ..

   Good Morning !

   Farmers Day !

   moms.. the name of the pot pie that I used to get for my mom was made by Marie Callender.. The pastry portion was really good ! I ended up turning off the game before it was over ! I just couldn’t watch it..The defense didn’t show up… I am happy for CJ and what a great season he has had ! Better today.. my wrist is still swollen but not deformed so I am not going to worry about it. Received a call after the game from the kid down the road.. We commiserated about the loss and will look forward to next season. The weather here remains bitter cold and very windy but not much snow. I made my ds’s favorite appetizer and ran it over and visited for a bit.

   dee… Played the snowman challenge to get the points but done with that.. too time intensive for 50 kc ! Have not see many flakes in NEXT.

   April.. Good luck to the Lions ! I will have to see which games will be televised here… Not able to see KC game last night but checked the score this morning..

    beef vegetable stew is cooking in the crock pot – i went the easy route & used frozen veggies for it too – i thought about us talking about the pot pie with the frozen vegetables & decided not to chop for the stew/soup – what’s the difference??? so we will see how it goes . . . i usually chop fresh vegetables, so i’m wondering if easier will not taste as good, but at least i cooked something, right? i’m mixing up jif cornbread muffins to go with – going easy on myself

    gaga – i’m sure the kid down the road & you are happy to see good things for cj – it’s hard not to cheer for him – even though you are disappointed for your team

    we’ve got the whole coaching situation with our team – glad Alabama made their decision – so much uncertainty right now with coaches

    i’m looking forward to football today & tomorrow even though we aren’t in it

    moms.. It is so cold here ! Can’t imagine playing football in this weather ! Saw the icicles hanging from Andy Reid’s moustache !! Supposed to be in the deep freeze all week. I do have to head out today and go to dentist.. Hopefully your stew was delicious… made a pot roast yesterday but will have today.
    Hope your dss are getting back into the routine of college life..
    Except for some minor soreness.. I am back to my normal ? self. ( LOL )
