    Good Morning !

moms.. This theme wasn’t my first choice but always fun to get new themes.
Would like to know what room theme you are thinking about.. Will try and remember to remind you of next design contest. Deluxe Wednesday uninspiring..
I think there may be a new pet being released later this month for Valentine’s Day.

dee… New prizes in NEXT WOW.. Don’t think I will take the time to do the Snowman challenge … trophy really cute but impossible to get.
    I won Bingo today… received 500 kc !

Sheba.. Maybe when you have retired you can make quilts to sell ! So expensive in Amish… I guess one is very time intensive but if you love sewing it may be worth starting a business on the side.

Does anyone know when maintenance day is for WW ?
Thought it might be today but isn’t.

Hey to all… Hope you all are well and enjoy the day.

Gaga – Maintenance is next Wednesday, the 17th.

Sheba – The quilt you made is so pretty. What a wonderful idea to utilize the fabric from your daughter’s wedding.

Sheba- That quilt is AMAZING! Such a thoughtful thing to do for your daughter.

Started a part time job yesterday. Will only be working Fri-Sun, so not ideal, but for now it’s something. The employees are all really nice, and it will be an easy no stress job. It sort of fell into my lap, so figured may as well.

Anyone have any issues from the crazy storm?
dd was under tornado watch, but they stopped before reaching her.

Thanks for all the nice comments about the quilt!
Gaga – I like to sew, but not enough to go into business. I’m not a fan of the word “business”. I’m more a fan of “fun.” Wink, wink! 😉 😉

As far as the storm….we just had LOTS of rain and schools were cancelled yesterday due to flooding issues.

Further north….my parents had ice & snow and were without electricity for part of the day yesterday.

Gaga – I’m fine with the winterfest items! Even though I haven’t been obsessive about it like I usually am, I still have plenty of stuff! (Only one balloon, though, on my main account….but I have plenty of balloons to send from my extra accounts). I think that I would be frustrated if I only managed one account and all I got was one item of something! I got LOTS of the snowflake stools (which I think look like tables and should be a table because of that).

    Hello all!

gaga—Thank you so much for the cookies! I didn’t have a chance to get those, so thank you! I sent the mint candy today. I couldn’t remember if I had sent those to you yet or not. Congrats on the Browns making the playoffs! Whoo hoo! I am very happy about the Lions in the playoffs too. Was so happy for the Michigan kids to finally win a championship. My guess is Harbaugh will be moving to NFL. I know, that’s crazy about Belichick. But it kinda makes you wonder if it a lot of those Super Bowl wins were because of Brady. I hope you end up liking your new dentist. If not, I would try another until you find one you really like. And you better get a goodie bag at the cleaning or kick ’em to the curb! LOL

moms—Cool idea about the red solo cups for storage. And the wine boxes too.

dee—I also have trouble with venison. I don’t mind if it’s in chili or soup, but dh will grill the tenderloin and I just can’t.

Sheba—Oh wow! That quilt you made is gorgeous!! And it sounds like it was quite the project. So great you had people that could help you with it. Your oldest dd must love it so much! I didn’t even know the snowflake stools WERE stools! I thought they were side tables. LOL

Amy—I think I read you recently became a grandparent! (I hope I have the right person.) Congratulations!

cmpets—Congratulations on the new job! Hey, easy and low stress sounds awesome! We got about 5 inches of wet snow. Plows came through last night and our plow service was here early this morning so we are all good here. Glad your dd was only under a watch and it didn’t reach her.

Have been able to catch snowflakes here and there to get everything. But I also cannot seem to get the balloons on my main acct. I have several on side accts. Just weird. Gotta get to Next and I’ll just finish this season by the skin of my teeth. My poor garden though. Missed several days of farmer’s markets. I managed to make it yesterday. I so wish we could buy extra plants.

    Hello to all I missed!

    Good Morning !

dee.. were you able to log into NEXT this morning ? I have not been able to.
Tried logging out and back in.. I even to to app store and tried logging in that way.
No luck! I know they updated on Wednesday but have played since then.
    Any ideas ?

moms… Hopefully will head down the road tomorrow to visit. The only glitch will be a meeting he has but unsure of the time.Planning on going to lunch and visit while I’m there. I am keeping my eye on the weather and don’t think we are expecting much snowfall… Super cold temperatures predicted all next week.. Coldest of the season so far… TEENS..
I am planning on getting stocked up for the week. I do have my next appointment on Monday with new dentist… We’ll see.
Hearing about some very severe weather down South but was happy to hear all is OK your way.

April… Thanks for the goodies.. I opted out of these dispensers but the trees are really pretty ! Keeping an eye on Harbaugh’s future as well as Belichick’s..
I agree about Brady being there quarterback and playing a big role on their outcomes… but still don’t think he deserves to be fired. City is electric with anticipation of the game tomorrow.. It will be a different game with CJ as quarterback..but hopefully we are up for the challenge ! Reports are saying our kicker is questionable…

Sheba.. I am not sure if I missed it .. but have you given your dd the quilt ?
I received a small handmade quilt from one of my coworkers when retired..it is a treasure for sure… She does hers by machine but still so much time and energy in making it !

cmpets.. I hope you like your new job… and at least is a foot in the door if full time opens up and you interested.

Amy .. thanks for the info on Maintenance Day in WW… Hopefully will have some new fun prizes on the Wheels !

Hey to all… Haircut today and a few errands !
Hope you have a good day… and get ready for some cold weather !

    Good morning! Happy Thursday!

It feels like it’s been a while since I’ve checked in. We had a good Christmas, except I got Covid the day before … couldn’t taste or smell anything, but taste came back after two days, which I was pleased and surprised by. Someone had told me that eucalyptus helps with getting your taste back, and at least twice in our experience, they were right. Might be coincidence? Who knows!

I had just had my 3rd wisdom tooth pulled, and although that was somewhat traumatic, the dentist had prescribed some antibiotics just in case. So when I started feeling the typical sinus infection starting (which pretty much happens every time I get a cold), I started taking them, and didn’t get one this time. Wish I could just keep some on hand for just this purpose!

Sorry … the older I get, the more it seems like we talk about health issues. Although now I find it interesting, but in my 20s, not so much. LOL!

Sheba, that quilt is simply gorgeous! You did a beautiful job. What a nice reminder of her wedding! I’ve been crocheting a blanket, finished one and started another. Can’t say that I really need any more blankets, but it is so relaxing and enjoyable to do.

And I wanted to thank Secret Santa if I haven’t yet! I didn’t see the gift right away because it went to my old email account, but I still have access to it and was able to pull it up. It is so thoughtful!

I think I only got one of the snowflake stools, and I’ve been catching the limit every day. And maybe one cookie jar, and one balloon. Got lots of the other stuff! Hoping there a few more days?

I’m not able to log into Next this morning on either my computer or my iPad. I still need 40 points to get to the final prize, so was counting on the dailies today. I hope I don’t forget to log in tonight when I get home.

Looks like a sunny day on tap for today. After that giant wind and rain storm the past few days, I’m here for the sun! 🙂 Have a great day, everyone!

Gaga – Yes, I gave the quilt to my dd at our Christmas gift exchange(even though it wasn’t really a Christmas gift….just a gift). When she opened the gift I had the pattern inside so all she saw was the back. But when she opened it up she gasped and said “These are all of my favorite things!” It was a special moment.

Hi, April & Miracle! Thanks for you comments on the quilt.

I also like to crochet, as i find it relaxing. I’ve been having fun weaving on a simple wooden loom for the doll class, too. One of the little girls in my class, after five minutes of weaving said, “This is so addicting.” 😉 I thought that was so cute!

So……for the New Years season in my life I’m trying to do four work-outs a week. My youngest son set up an app for all the family members and close friends to encourage each other. We don’t have to say what our work-out is or how long, but there is an understanding that everyone is working on their personal goals. It really does motivate me to do a work-out. A work-out for me mainly is walking, but I also do low impact aerobics (found a great youTube channel) and I have an exercise bike. It is nice to have options indoors on the really cold and/or miserable days. If any of you all know me well, I’m not very fond of exercise. But I need to take better care of myself. I wish I was naturally energetic or motivated to move.

Miracle – I had all of my wisdom teeth pulled at the same time. It was terrible, at least for a few days. I was in my young adult years when it happened. Maybe age 19 or 20. But I had to have them pulled because they were causing headaches (which nicely disappeared with the teeth). Anyway, sorry that you had Covid over Christmas. It’s nice that you were able to avoid a sinus infection.

beef vegetable – maybe i’ll make that & cornbread

    Good morning! Happy Fri-yay!

Yes, I remembered to log in last night to finish Next … with 4 hours to spare! Almost forgot. Was exhausted last night because I got the cleaning bug at work and cleaned out the back storage room. Threw so much away. I sometimes think some of us spend half our time working to keep the school off an episode of Hoarders. Teachers have a hard time throwing anything away. Looked so nice when I was done, but it wore me out.

The new year and putting Christmas decorations away usually makes me want to spring-clean in January. Just read Marie Kondo’s book again … always a bit strange, but helps motivate me to get rid of stuff I don’t need. I haven’t started talking to my house and thanking my things yet, but I’m donating large bags of stuff, and that feels good. Hopefully, new year with fewer health problems and issues. Time will tell!

I can’t imagine having all 4 wisdom teeth pulled at once, although it seems like a lot of people have it done that way. But to get rid of constant headaches, it would be worth it! Thank goodness they were able to figure out what was causing them. Mine have come out one at a time, as they cause me trouble. This is the first upper one I’ve had pulled, and the amount of force she had to use, plus the amount of novocaine she had to inject me with, was much worse than the lower ones (unless I’m just forgetting … possible). I have slight PTSD. Had been thinking about getting rid of that last one, but not now. I need more time to mentally recover! 🙂

Soup and chili sounds good right now. Every time I make a big batch of chili, I think I have a ton of left-overs, but it disappears a little each day … I think my dd eats it for breakfast! And a few days later when I want it again, it is gone. I’ll have to hide a small serving for myself somewhere.

Hoping for a nice quiet day today, and looking forward to the long weekend, since we get Monday off. Have a great day, everyone!

    Good morning!

Miracle= I was wondering if you remembered to log into NEXT! Glad you remembered. Sounds like you had a VERY busy day!

I will leave my Christmas decorations through January. Nice to have an artificial tree (for the first time) and not have to deal with needles and watering. But I think most of you know that I did not decorate the tree until Christmas week. LOL!

Dee – Hope those high winds don’t affect your internet!

Moms – I’m at the point where I enjoy all the kiddos here, but I appreciate the quiet when they leave. 😉

Gaga – I sound craftier than I really am. I’ve always been more of the type to pick up a book, do a puzzle or playing Webkinz. But I do enjoy crafts once I get over the hump of getting started.

hello – rainy & dreary here – feels like an eeyore day

spaghetti sounds really good too – i’ll talk to dh & let him have final say, but maybe i’ll make a chicken pot pie & beef vegetable soup for next week – sounds cozy . . .

    Cloudy here and windy, too.

Moms – I serve spaghetti once a month. Do you make your chicken pot pie from scratch? I’ve never tried doing that before, but either way, I like it! One of the reasons that I don’t mind winter is that I love making soup. Just did a quick look in my freezer and saw that I have some beef tips. I’m also thawing out some leftovers that I froze to make soup for tonight.

And Dee – I should have said that I hope those high winds don’t affect your power! Who wants to be without electricity and heat? Not me!

    🙂

but a homemade quilt would make all the difference
