i came home late for me tonight from my mom’s & parked & walked around my car to almost step on a copperhead

moms.. I am so sorry that your mom is not improving and is requiring more care..
I know how difficult it is for you to see her declining … and is such a helpless feeling
Hopefully you can find a reliable caring person to step in and supplement her care.

Turned my phone to silence yesterday afternoon and took a nap… Have not been sleeping well and still not feeling better.. so I woke up to find a police officer at my home doing a ” welfare check”.. Apparently my work friends were concerned as I did not hear or answer their texts…and were worried for my well being..
Have doctor appointment today.. we’ll see. They recommended I go to ER a couple of days ago.. which I declined to do.. nurse hung up on me and cancelled my original follow up appointment today… I was not happy..

Sorry I haven’t been around for a few days. I haven’t been playing either so if any of you sent requests for building items, I am sorry. I have a lot going on right now and I felt that I had to take a step away from the PC to get it done. (Not done by any means, either)
Momz, it sounds like you could use* the respite, but that won’t happen until your Mom is safely tucked in her own comfy place and doing better. Aging parents and elder care; just like our kids we really want what’s best for them. I hope she improves, Momz. And I hope she gets the care she deserves &heart;

Moms = Hope your day was better today! Copperheads are in our neighborhood, too! I don’t walk outside after dark without a flashlight. A neighbor almost stepped on one several years ago. I actually haven’t seen one for quite a while now but I am still cautious. We are having the Mickey problem again. Still need to figure out the entry way into our home.
Hope your mom’s health improves and that she gets the medicine she needs.
Dee – Maybe the bunny suit is for Halloween???? Who knows!
Gaga – I got the guest room ready today. Still have some things I’d like to check off the list. As far as your health….please take care. I would have been so mad if the nurse cancelled my appointment.

moms.. Hoping all med orders are transitioned without any issues ! I know you and your mom will be able to relax a little once the new med routine is in place and hopefully much more effective than present regiment.
I was able to straighten out my concerns with office nurse yesterday.. My meds were adjusted and a couple new additions… I really do have so much trust and comfort dealing with my Primary… Have know him since he was a resident…He is aware of my quirks and medical philosophies…and doesn’t necessarily push me to change… I unfortunately can be very stubborn !
Sheba… Sounds like you are ready for the arrival of your guest… Didn’t realize you had to be care of snakes in your area as well ! Enjoy your weekend !
Dixiecup… I gave up the emoji’s too ! I just type ” hearts”.. much less frustrating for me ! I hope your stepping away from computer allows you to get your to do list in order !
April.. Hope you and dh and Stella are doing well.. Looking forward to some football this weekend.. Browns off… so will have to check the schedule and find out which games are being televised in my area ! I know OSU plays tomorrow and hope to at least catch that game..

As far as doctors…mine is older than me and I’m dreading the day of his retirement. I am seeing the younger NP for my annual check-ups, but still! I have a long history with his office and he is the only doctor. Once he retires, I wonder what will happen to his little country practice. Yes, I drive out to the country for my medical care. I will probably have to fine a new one in the city, which would be convenient, yet…..I like going where they know me.

My little space is like the Fort Knox of traps concealed all over my home ! I have such a fear of them for some reason. Thankfully they are the NO see traps !
It was so funny the other day I went down to take some clothes out of the dryer and out of the corner of my eye a thought I saw a little baby gray mouse…I literally sprinted up stairs and debated on what to do ( looked to be ? dead )
I got a small Tupperware container and my heavy measure tape… back downstairs
and discovered it to still be where I had seen it…. However.. it turned out to be a clump of lint ! ( still chuckling about it )

qos – i cried when my dr decided to retire, but i am lucky that he handpicked his replacement, and she runs the office like he trained her to with only improvements 😉
gaga – hope you’re feeling a little more perky today – i sent strong prayers your way ♥
i came home for a little break, doing some laundry, watered the plants, spending time with the pets – tending to the house instead of napping, but it’s what i needed
we are in full swing with hospice finally, and i have loved all of the workers that i have met. they are truly angels – speaking of angels – my mom thought i flew by her bed today . . . i might assume she saw an angel . . . or my heart . . . or forgot to mention my broomstick . . .

Gaga – Something similar happened to me when I was at my daughter’s house in June to help with the new baby. I thought I saw a mouse turd on the comforter on my bed. My son-in-law came up to inspect and it was a piece of lint from a sock (???). Embarrassing! Yet they live in the city and I see rats scurrying around their neighborhood (the light sensors go on every time one darts through the yard), so I was a bit paranoid.
