   gaga – looks like this is just not my weekend for football LOL
   went over to my mom’s & took her breakfast, got her set up for the morning, but she was still sleeping, so i came back home to watch football with dh for a bit – really bad football 😆 she was a little better yesterday evening, but i will go back in a little while to see how she is doing today – i love love love having her so close. i’m a little unsure about her facility, but the location is so good. there is 1 person on staff that if she leaves, i think we will need to find a new place, but it is going to make me furious to have to move because of things that should be easily corrected . . .

   thanks for the info about the clubhouse & souvenir – that sure makes my life easier to know what to do

   part timer … that’s not it… If you go to the Clubhouse where Sophie hands out candy and has all new e store items.. the desk looks Halloweenish… Has a skull..candles..and a stool to sit on ! I looked everywhere in the e store this morning and did not see it… Thought maybe it could be in the new boxes but it isn’t there either….I will keep looking… Thanks for checking though !

   i do sheba, but just basics…….dd has taught herself to do stuff like this from youtube videos. she has also taught herself how to knit!

   she has made sweaters for herself even!
   amazing

   i saw similar on my local buy/sell site……for five bucks…..i would easily spend five bucks on one……….lady also makes other things that are all cute……she sets up at a farmers market that we never go to sadly……i really want one of hr baby possums

    Is anyone else kind of disappointed with the lack of fanfare from the Halloween theme? It seems a bit lacklustre. I was expecting more, but I guess if you combine it with past Halloween items it might be passable. But just on it’s own? It seems kind of thin. Not up to their usual WOW standard. Like the Mime and Construction worker costumes, just a cut above ordinary.

    I am not impressed by the Halloween theme at all. Not many items. The costumes are just ok. I wish they put as much effort into this as they do the estore stuff. I miss the old days without estore and there were cool things in the wshop.

    It almost feels like they phoned it in. There are so many ways they could’ve gone with this theme, and barring anything else, they could’ve re-released an older theme along with it, like they used to back in the bygone days. Someone just wasn’t feelin’ it this year.

    Agreed about the campground theme. While the wallpaper is awesome, there aren’t many items and they don’t go together very well. I’m working on a room design with the walls/floors and I don’t think I’ll use any other item from the theme except the pine tree.

    Boper .. So nice to see you !! Thanks for the info on the desk in question.. Will wait until to is released on Friday ! Hope all is well with you. Love the new trees/campfires in the new theme ! Animation is really cute ! I do like the wallpaper and flooring as well.

    moms.. Hope your mom is improving ! CLE game was terrible yesterday.. The backup quarterback was thrown around like a rag doll ! I really felt bad for him and his debut for us…

    dee.. Hope you have your plans made and are able to get fishing or camping.. Weather here remains unseasonably beautiful !

    Dixiecup.. So much they could have done with Halloween.. I agree.. very disappointing this year.!

    totally agree with everyone on the halloween theme – even if they released some old items to go with it – the rocks & logs & things, but on it’s own it’s skimpy

    but i do LOVE the wallpaper & flooring, love the campfire, & wish we could rotate the tree to a side with no eyes so I could use them in regular yards – love trees for decorating!

    Hey Boper, nice to have you weigh in! Nice to see you as well. It has been a hot minute ???? I am going to try the theme from a few years back that has the bat in the cave/trees already. I think that purple might work with it some, and the old logs will defo work. Wondering about that Haunted outhouse, though, I think that’s funny.

    Another lovely fall day here!

    Dee – I am with you as far as crochet level. I only crochet simple things like blankets, scarves, potholders….you know….square things. How amazing that your daughter can do complicated projects, such as a sweater! ♥

    Dixie – I can only do the ♥

    Gaga – Yep, busy day. I had to take in three sewing machines for my classes. I dropped my personal machine and the case broke. I’m not happy about that. But I am glad that I did not damage my sewing machine. The other two machines are inexpensive Singers (not the bottom of the line, but not too far from it). I bought them specifically for this class as all we need them for are for basic “line” stitching. BUT….both of those machines kept jamming and were more trouble than helpful. I’m NOT mechanically inclined, but I need to figure it out before next weeks class. SO it was a challenging days. Many of the girls are learning how to hand sew (thread a needle, tie a knot, make even stitches…ha ha). And then I’m teaching the girls that want to finish the project quickly how to use the sewing machine. It was crazy. Every one was at a different place and all are on different skill levels. I seriously think I could use another helper. The one that I have is great, but I think one adult to four girls would be better than one adult to six. (12 girls in my largest class). In my third class I only have six girls and most of them have experience with basic stitching. Next week, the plan was to start an embroidery project, but I may have to hold off for one more week as we didn’t make as much progress on the present project as I was hoping.

    I may see if my guest is willing to come in to help. But she may also want to check out my town while I’m teaching. We will see. And to answer your question, she has visited the US before, but that was before I had met her.

    Moms – I agree with everything you said about the Spooky Camp theme! Post #20. I especially wish the trees would rotate to not have eyes. I’d love that option for non-Halloween themed rooms!

    caught this one big giant one, that dh said was a drum fish. he was huge and tought to reel in……..did get a pic and am awaiting my assistant here to get it to me………it was so big, we had to get out our net!
    and a big cat fish, but those are boring…..fun to catch, but boring

    sheba, do you teach them cross stitch? i used to do that.
    my grandma was a crazy embroiderer………
    i am talking big parrots on shirts and stuff. she made me clothes when i was in high school. the other grandma made me clothes when i was little and taught me crochet……….she had patterns etc…………my embroidery grandma cut up paper bags for her patterns…..she grew up very very very poor. she sewed almost all of her clothes til into her early nineties when her arthritis got too bad.

    Flying out to FL for Parent’s Weekend. Had to switch our flight. Possible weather in Dallas which we really try not to fly through, but flight prices were insane and so that was what we booked. Anyway…, got an alert, which means they let you change for free, so flying the overnight to Charlotte instead, the to FL tomorrow morning. Already tired thinking about it as I cannot sleep on planes. Was worried we would get stuck there, and would rather go earlier to spend more time with dd. Had we been ready to go, could have taken an earlier flight today, but gave us time clean and make sure we have everything.
    A friend of mine is staying here for a few days while we are gone, which will be good.

    I got 2nd in the cook off thing, got the baker’s coat. I think there were only 5 of us playing, so was easier.

    qos- I would love that class. we had dd take sewing classes when she was young, it’s a skill that isn’t taught in school anymore. I know she can do needle and thread, wonder if she could still do a pattern and sewing machine. If I ever have free time, I want to sew again. I do not know how to crochet, maybe i will add it to the list of things I’d like to learn.

    About cross-stitch…I’ve done it in the past, but I have never taught it. Funny, I never really embroidered until I taught it to the girls. LOL!

    I missed every single Cook-Off today in NEXT. My time available doesn’t seem to correspond with the schedule. Not even tomorrow’s schedule. Sigh.

    moms.. Sorry to hear that your mom is not doing well.. Are you trying to make arrangements for some private duty help for a few days ? I know so many places are dealing with staffing shortages which makes things that much more difficult.

    dee..had to look up what a drum fish was.. Never heard of it ! Sounds like you had a great day fishing ! How much did your fish weigh ? I think you have mentioned before that you don’t keep any of the fish you catch !
