   moms.. thanks for bringing calendar forward.. Looking forward to catching the fall leaves upcoming later this month ! Lots of new challenges and things to do !
   Hopefully you no severe effects from recent hurricane. So much devastation down South. Spending the day in Amish turned out to be such a nice day.. We both found a couple of trinkets, had a delicious lunch and nice visit. Hope to be able to return before Christmas.

   dee… I have tried to join in Cake Off fifteen minutes before the hour and was not able to join in…. Played today… despite showing 1st place… I won a bakers coat
   Was disappointed but oh well… maybe next time ! I think I am about 50 points behind you on the leader board… that’s interesting to know about the transfer of kc to NEXT..

   April .. Happy that Stella is enjoying the weather and chasing deer around her yard but really sorry to hear you are struggling with a knee injury… I am sure it makes day to day life difficult not to mention the pain and process of healing.

   Lots of beautiful pictures from one of my nephews who is vacationing in Alaska !
   Finally were able to see some moose bald eagles and so much beautiful scenery.

    April – Sorry about the knee issues! I have that from time to time….bursitis & for me, probably since I’m older….a little bit of arthritis! So ever few years I need to have the fluid drained from my knee. Did PT for a while, but it really doesn’t help the issue.

    Was able to participate in the cook-off event today. Got 2nd place (baker’s shirt) for my granddaughter and got 3rd for me – 200 KC. I’ve tried with a car for speed but somehow my pet always jumps out of the car during the event and has to run around instead. I haven’t figured that out yet.

    Gaga – I would be really mad if I did not get a proper prize for 1st place!

    Moms – Sorry that you dh is sick. Not fun. As far as Covid, there is an increase in our area around here. I’ve been tempted to mask when going out shopping, but I’m so sick of it I can’t quite get myself to do it. I guess I would if I had been exposed or if I was recovering.

    I think lil’ girl had some kind of bug yesterday. I picked her up a bit early from school and then after dinner, she threw up and said, “I burped.” So cute! We taught her the new word “vomit”… Anyway, my son said she is doing better today. He stayed home with her today. Hopefully, the rest of us will avoid whatever it was as we are going on vacation together.

    It is going to be really difficult for me to do the collection event on vacation especially the first part of it when lil’ girl is around. (She is not allowed much screen time as a 2 year old).

    we were flying down the interstate once with dd who was about 2 and a half

    and she had a “big cough” in the backseat

    funny as nothing now, but no fun pulling over on interstate with cars flying by as dh tried to clean it up. i am a sympathy puker…..just need sound or sight or smell……….so i was holding her and retching……thankfully before cell phone cameras
    but dh and i can get the other cackling talking about the big cough

    I will not be tempted to open NEXT accounts for my eight classic that could be NEXT related. I will not open any more NEXT accounts. Two is enough. Two is enough. Two is enough. LOL! I hope my dd doesn’t regret that I haven’t opened a NEXT on her account. Yet….I will not be tempted. But the collection events in classic sent to NEXT is making it difficult for me. But you all are my witnesses. :):D

    Hi Everyone!

    I don’t get a chance to jump on here much these days. But Moms, I wanted to let you know about a weird glitch I’m having with this blog.

    This time, and another time recently, when I went to your codes page, which I usually check first, I got redirected to some weird ad type pages. Both times it started with an iphone ad from amazon? (Fake I assume. I clicked nothing.)

    I’m not sure, but I think it happens when I’m already on the codes page, and then I click on your title to come to the main page. After I close out of the weird ad pages, I re-load the code page and click on your title AGAIN, to go to the main page, and it works just fine. – I’m not sure what’s causing this, and IDK if anyone else has had this problem or already written about it, but I wanted to let you know. The first time I thought maybe I did something weird, but just now was the 2nd time it happened when I started on your Codes page.

    Not sure if my telling you is helpful at all, but wanted to let you know, in case you can check your logs and see your traffic and when I entered and wth happened next! I’ll try to pay more attention next time and see exactly where I click or something.

    Hope everybody is doing well! I’m sorry I’m not able to read and catch up (Life!) Hopefully someday soon!

    Exhausted, bur stuff is here, stuff is in storage. Tomorrow I start going through boxes and figuring out where things are going. Feels so nice to sleep in my bed after a year, and especially after the air mattress the last couple of nights.

    Will try to check in and read up tomorrow.

    Topazz- Are we friends? cmpets4fun – I have lots of extras of all of the candles, happy to share. I should have time to pop on tomorrow.

    part timer-Moms is looking in to the redirect issue. I really should know more about that and how to fix it. Need to build out a website for practice, been too long. Maybe I will get to that this week.

    moms… I was talking to a friend last night… and she was telling me that her BIL
    did not want to wait in line to make an appointment with Geek Squad.. He went home and googled it… Somehow it was not a valid site and he lost 24,000 dollars to the scam ! They apparently asked for much more info than required and they were able to access his bank account ! Makes me sick !! So many scammers out there.

    I finally caught up reading! I had fallen behind about a month, but was determined to catch up before I posted. So fun catching up on everything. 🙂

    I am so late with this, but thank you Secret Santa! I didn’t see it right away, but found it later. Such a nice surprise! You all are the best. 🙂

    I am having the issue with the redirect, as well. I search “gymbos” in my browser, and it is usually the first choice. But the search engine has been having troubling finding it, and when I finally do, I’ll get redirected to the fake amazon site. I thought it was me, so I cleared cache and dumped library launch agents, so was actually relieved to find it wasn’t on my computer necessarily. Hoping Boper can find the issue.

    School is back in session, so the frantic busy-ness has set in. It is nice having the kids back, though. School has a much better feel to it this year … with several negative “student leaders” graduating or moving, and several new strong teachers that we are super happy about. The senior class has some really great kids, and the whole tone is different. Hoping it lasts through the whole year!

    My health journey continues as I adjust to the estrogen blockers. Would love to throw them in the trash most days, but am pushing through hoping my body adjusts. I am also pressing through with my other smaller issues (at least until the deductible resets), so still a lot of doctor visits. Doctors say to give yourself a year, so I’m almost there. May end up doing that carpal tunnel surgery as everyone who has done it is so happy afterward. We’ll see!

    Good morning Gymbo’s friends!

    I just realized I haven’t posted since Wacky… Just been dealing with continuous health issues and real life stuff and been super stressed. If fact, I literally realized I hadn’t posted in a little bit mid-anxiety attack. I actually really enjoyed when I was popping in and posting more regularly during the summer. I just have such a hard time keeping up with everything. I was NOT meant for the Internet/email/texting/all the other stuff era!!!! Ugh… anyway.

    Miracle… I can’t tell you how much I relate to “My health journey continues as I adjust to the estrogen blockers. Would love to throw them in the trash most days, but am pushing through hoping my body adjusts.” I have been in a similar boat the last few months, and have experienced just about every side affect under the sun. It has not been fun, and I have all but given up hope that I’ll ever be without the issues and pain passed down to me through all the terrible genetics I was given (we have pretty much every cancer between both sides and I was literally ‘that kid’ who was in the hospital all the time as baby and young child being poked and prodded against my will since I was too young to understand anything but pain.) You are a TROOPER for doing that for a whole year and I am sending goods thoughts and well wishes to you that your health journey moves in a positive direction soon!!!

    Well, now that I’ve depressed myself and probably all of you, I am going to sign off–sorry! Just wanted you all to know I’m still around and thinking of you even when I don’t post! <3

    Miracle.. Can’t believe it has been almost a year for you ! Hang on and hopefully the effects of the medication will be tolerable. In some ways being back in school with kids can help take your mind off the struggles… On the flip side – being overwhelmingly busy doesn’t give you the much needed rest you need !

    Dee, I love your description of gymbos. I think I’m going to copy it and keep it for a reminder of why this little group works together so well. We throw things out there and you all help with tips, thoughts, and encouragement. It’s quite helpful on so many levels. 🙂

    Otterkinz, I’m so sorry you are going through so much! Hang in there. The side effects are the worst, and getting old is no picnic. As much as I now dread another doctor’s visit, I am so thankful for the US medical system, as flawed as it is. They saved my life for sure, and I keep reminding myself that living with pain is much better than not living at all. 🙂 There are still so many beautiful moments in my life yet to experience! My dd attended a writing conference recently where the keynote speaker encouraged them as writers to “be filled with wonder and curiosity at everything around you” and I’ve taken that as my own outlook. Sometimes I have to kick myself into remembering though! I will be keeping you in my prayers. 🙂

    Gaga, I read “Boy in the Striped Pyjamas” and cried throughout. Not sure I could read it again. I stumbled on some old Perry Mason books recently, and although I had seen the old tv show some, I never realized there were books. I’ve enjoyed reading through them.

    I don’t think I’ve ever played Jazz Monsters before. Weird little game. I tried the Bake Off race a few times. I like it, but am not good at it yet. It is much more fun than building snowmen or flowers.

    Sheba, I sparked a pet and got a random purple elephant. Is that what you mean by a redemption pet? I was like, “how do two unicorns make an elephant?” Not quite sure what to do with him, but thought I would just raise him like the ugly duckling and hope something nice comes out of it. 🙂

    dee… not sure how Cake gets scored… Seems like they don’t know how to add ! (LOL) My numbers on the total don’t seem to reflect the number of ingredients I have collected… Wondering if they only give out one trophy per month ? Task will be impossible for me ! but will keep playing !

    moms… Your banter with dee always makes me laugh ! It was nice that she had some items to check off your wish list ! Hope your mom is doing well ! I know my mom is probably anticipating upcoming football season too ! She always had a bowl of popcorn and a beverage… I am sure she is happy to have my Dad to enjoy the games with !

    Have not seen Castro out walking recently but it has been pretty warm and I think his mom doesn’t take him too far in the heat. I found a dog related garden flag when I was in Amish and can’t wait to give it to her !

    Going to cookout with some friends today.. haven’t had a grilled burger in over a year and looking forward to it… and of coarse some visiting.. Going to be warm but not complaining… cold weather is right around the corner and already dreaded it.
