   Good Morning !

   moms.. I am totally hooked on so many of those Food Network shows.. Chopped.. Beat Bobby Flay . So amazed how talented some of these chefs are and how quickly they can put together a meal ! Is your ds interested in becoming the next Bobby Flay or he more interested in baking ?

   Mass shooting in CLE over the weekend. Nine people shot in kind of a trendy outdoor establishment.. one is in serious condition and the rest are expected to recover from their injuries. Shooter is still on the loose. CLE is apparently short a couple hundred police officers… Recent Academy graduation only had 40 some graduates…So scary everywhere these days !
   Finally received a text from himself… He is available for breakfast on Thursday. He will be heading back to Columbus this weekend… thankful he has a couple of spare hours !!

   Sheba.. Sounds like you had a great family picnic ! I am sure it will be bittersweet sending your ds and his family back home..

   dee.. Hope you enjoyed your pancakes ! Planning on ordering a waffle on Thursday… so good !

   April… Safe travels… Hope you had a great time but I am sure you looking forward to returning home to Stella !

   Gaga – Sorry to hear about the shooting! Prayers for those affected, especially the one in critical condition. On a positive note, glad to hear that you will be having breakfast with himself on Thursday!

   Many tears shed after the picnic! It has been a full five months of increased family activity and we are all bemoaning the fact that we live so far apart from each other. I know the solution, but will anyone listen? LOL!

   Now I’m hungry for pancakes! I wonder why?

   Dee – I also like a lot of the new summer clothing.

   I think I should clarify…all of the family members in the states are bemoaning the fact that we will be spread out again. The ones that live overseas are happy with their choices.

   hey all
   home and whatnot
   hair is done! needed to be thinned really bad and i had her put layers in.
   no clue what it looks like as it is hot and i put it up as soon as i got into the car!
   dentist tomorrow morn. just a cleaning. then……….i am free until i get my id card appt! which i have to make. oh well, not like i have a whole lot going on. perfect fishing day, but difficult to get in with my hair lady. she moved away last year and drives up here once a week to do the regulars!!!

   i saw no ghost or flowers today………..do we have the prize pool for the sun?

    dee.. I have not gotten the colorblock or swan clothes yet but will let you know if and when I do… Happy you have gotten the pool ! I was able to see the ghost this morning- one gem… did get the flowers but didn’t get them yesterday.
    Still think the sun is creepy ! ( LOL ) Definitely not ” Mary Sunshine ” !

    Sheba.. the flowers seem to be kind of sporadic ! Love the new flowers !
    I think I have mentioned before but my brother has recently bought a home in the area… Now all six of us are in close proximity… however it has only been since my mom passed away that we have all chosen to get together for brunch. Since we have all gotten older I think we have come to realize how important family is ! You never know what tomorrow brings.

    moms.. I had internal server error yesterday and had to retype and send…
    Seems like the two items that are difficult to get are the colorblock dress and the pool… Do visit it every day but try not to waste too much time waiting for either the ghost and the sun…

    dee.. Good luck at the dentist ! Hopefully with be a uneventful visit.
    Cow is 20% off in the e store but is not available in NEXT Center…

    Wondering if anyone knows if there are prizes given for the candy cane floaters coming up ? Wacky Weekend also upcoming… Same cupcake seeds being offered.

    I have mostly gotten the lifeguard whistle and wrist keychain from the Sun. Does anyone know how long the event goes? Went back to look at the post and realized how many prizes there are, thought it was just those items, since that was all I had gotten.

    No job updates, but will look at flexjobs today. Also trying to figure out where we are going to live. That is a whole long story, but hopefully in the next couple of weeks we will figure it all out. Or not lol

    DD had a great time in Boston, she really enjoyed all of the stuff they went and saw/did. Was happy the Red Sox won while she was at the game, always makes it a better experience. She was able to get on an earlier flight on standby, so did not go exploring in DC, which worked out in her favor, she was exhausted from the trip.

    We got the cow last year when it was on sale, dd named hers milkshake. I don’t have enough diamonds, so am happy we already own it.

    Not that anyone should drink them, but 7-11 has free small slurpees today.

    Off to job hunt. Hope everyone has a great day!

    dentist was fine
    did some kind of painted on fluoride treatment……….had to wait two hours to eat………of course i skipped breakfast
    afterwards did some errands and came home and did up my watermelon. It was just killing me to not eat it!!!
    so i set the stove timer and dove in when it beeped………….good melon
    it was a seedless personal melon which is perfect for two
    making bowties with meatballs tonite.
    and melon!
    i want salad so bad but it so expensive and not that good looking. ugh
    if we did not have so many stinking rabbits, i would have put some in the garden.

    dee.. Is your drinking water not fluorinated ? I am curious as my dentist hasn’t done that on my teeth… drink mostly bottled water…

    moms..Happy the Farmers Market had the seeds you were looking for !
    Does your garden grow many competitive vegetables ? Had two left in my dock but seem to have disappeared… I have won a ribbon once for entering my competitive harvest.
    Do you watch the ESPY awards ? If so the show airs tonight at 8.
    I know I have talked about it before but previews showed Craig Seger giving his acceptance speech for his Jimmy V award… SO inspirational.. Unfortunately he passed away from the leukemia he had been battling.

    Sheba… Flowers were available today in NEXT as was the sun… pretty quickly as well. Finished the challenge this morning… Not thrilled with the prizes for the NEXT challenge…

    Haircut day for me today… Received an email from salon with their new policy… Starting to charge 100 % fee for no shows and 50% fee if you do not give 24 hour notice of cancellation ! I understand a no show fee but certainly not 100 % and definitely upset about the 50% for 24 hour notice.
    I was so upset that I emailed them back … gave them my view and will discuss it with my hairdresser this morning ( happens to be the owner )
    I have never not shown and don’t think I have even needed to reschedule but emergencies for people come up and don’t think they should be penalized..
    They charge enough for their services !

    Cafeteria day today… Missed last week so anxious to catch up today !

    i don’t like melons very much, occasionally will eat some watermelon, but that’s it

    gaga – not sure if i’ll watch the espys, depends on what the guys are doing . . . right now i’m watching wimbeldon – don’t usually watch tennis, but this player Chris Eubanks is from Georgia Tech – i don’t know much about tennis, so i’m relying on the commentary . . .

    Gaga – I am glad that you said something about that 50% fee! What if you woke up with a fever that day? I would be tempted to go and spread my sickness if I had to pay 50% for not going. It seems too high a price to pay.

    No flowers for me for days. And I have tried. Now I understand why there was no ghost. I doubt it was a planned “vacation” as there seemed to be technical issues since the “bobbing” sun was added.

    We are heading to a family reunion on Friday. Long drive. I won’t be able to answer collection requests through Monday or Tuesday. DD holding down the fort. She has a friend coming & then her boyfriend arrives Monday.

    I need to be packed before lil’ girl comes tomorrow. And have the guest rooms ready. And laundry….LOL.

    just made muffaletta bread
    the kind you used to be able to get at mellow mushroom

    altho my google searches for muffaletta bread (the loaf) look promising
    basically hopped up garlic bread with black and green olives, olive oil and garlic with a smattering of mozzarella to hold it in place……smells good
    i did not have the right bread for it (italian loaf)……..i used ciabatta
    cuz we had ciabatta toast with our pasta and meatballs……..but smells mighty fine!
    thinking red beans and rice this weekend. kroger has the pretty peppers on sale and buy one get one free on turkey smoked sausage………so kind of begging for me to make

    i did laundry today too! sometimes difficult with only two people in summer (shorts etc versus pants/big shirts for winter)

    dee, that is why I have tried Next. It just looks ugly and they always remove the cool stuff. They can’t keep classic runing so I don’t want to put money into something new. I was logged out 5 times last night in classic. I hate that they took away the different zones for the clubhouse, hamsters, tile towers and visits. They added hats and glasses to pets then promised more. I hate have the hats and glasses on them. I have over 250,000 kinz cash and nothing to spend it on. They are so stingy with new themes.

    Sorry, but I am grumpy too.

    I finally got all the gifts from the “bobbing” sun, with the exception of the grand prize! I sure hope I get one, but with my luck….probably not!

    I have an idea that the ghost could not work at the same time as the sun. Also, the past several days I was unable to get flowers. Now that the ghost is gone, the flowers are appearing for me again. Of course, I’d rather have a chance at finding the ghost and adding to my diamond #’s. I find it ironic that when students & teachers have the summer off and finally have time to look for the ghost now it isn’t available. Not to mention others that finally have vacation time. Trying not to be grumpy about it.

    But when it comes to classic I get really grumpy when I think about how I will NEVER graduate my pets from KA. I’ve been considering asking Ganz to extend the time for the weight lifting to 90 seconds instead of 30. It might be more achievable for me. Or maybe I should ask for 120 seconds! I need help on Levels 6 and above. I used to be able to pass Level 6, but nowadays it is hit or miss.
