   moms.. finally the asparagus was available.. I love the bows too…was able to make each of them. Just reading that there are nine horses in the Belmont on Saturday… Looks like a couple of grays !

   April.. Leo gained five pounds since his last visit to the vet ! They also told my friend that they too felt the chickens may have died because of the chicken feed… She has one left. Hopefully nothing will happen to her.

   Good morning! I had baby duty from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. so that the parents could sleep. She is a doll!

   I tried so hard yesterday to find the appreciation gift not realizing it was Thursday! SO…your first post was reassuring, moms!

   And Dee….the identification was pre-glasses and pre-coffee….LOL!

   Gaga – Yes, glad it wasn’t really a mouse! I am planning to head home tomorrow so that I can pick up lil’ girl from school. Not really looking forward to all the travel. I sure wish my kiddos lived closer to me.

   I finished the season this morning on NEXT. Yay! I decided not to buy a season pass this time around even though I really like the rainbow car.

   Oh…one thing that I am curious about….Dee.
   How did you save up 900 diamonds in NEXT? I think I remember reading that in the past couple of days. Did you purchase some? Just curious! I had about 300 saved on each account. My dilemma is do I buy another pet or use the diamonds towards a baby. I bought a grey cat on both accounts and I’d like to get the tulip pony on each. I have enough or close to enough to do that. So…may have to wait for babies.

    Hello all,

    So the last couple of days have been a whirlwind. Stella had surgery yesterday. She’s doing really well and resting with me at home. That lump on her hip had gotten bigger. The vet had told me it was a harmless fatty lipoma when I had it looked at in Feb. I just knew it wasn’t, it was growing way too fast. The vet squeezed me in at the end of the day Wednesday and agreed with me. They had a cancellation and could take it out the next day. So that’s what we did. It’s most likely cancer. The vet didn’t come right out and say that, but she said it looked gnarly and took margins, which means she took out some healthy tissue around it to make sure she got it all. Will have to wait 2 weeks for the lab results to know what we are dealing with. She said some of these things are good once you get them out and nothing else needs to be done, or it could be something more serious and she may need to refer us to an oncologist. Hoping and praying for the former. She really doesn’t like the ‘donut’ collar, but it’s so much better than the cone. She’s got good pain meds and a mild sedative at night to keep her from moving around a ton. Sorry for the bummer post.

    Gaga—Thanks for the pastries, sent the pickleberry ones to you. So happy to hear Leo has gained weight and is doing so well. I hope she can switch to some different chicken feed. I think I remember those wacky dispensers that were for sale. I didn’t get either of those, the food was taffy I think and I didn’t care about that as much. But the dispensers were cute like pinatas.

    We were outside getting some sun and she’s now down for a nap, so I’m going to get some next time in while snuggling with her on the couch. I think I can finish the season challenge before it ends. I also like the uncommon bow the best.

    dee—I had to look up Blue Pearl. They look like a really great oncology vet. There is one in Milwaukee which is doable. wow! Hope your dh and get rid of the new gaga/mickey family under the hood.

    Still have to get to next tonight. I sat down next to Stella this afternoon and promptly fell asleep. lol

    moms.. I hope you are feeling better ! Think I may have gotten similar episode here… Banged my head yesterday… said a few words and a few minutes later had an episode of non stop sneezing…continuing today..
    Our weather people keep telling everyone to say indoors … describing air quality dangerous particularly for those with respiratory problems…Has been hazy here for days but certainly nothing like New York and surrounding areas. Air quality should improve in a few days. Reporting says wild fires are the size of Vermont! Can’t imagine.

    Sheba… You sure are a great mom and grandma ! Safe travels and enjoy time with lil granddaughter !

    Stella is doing great. We both slept through the night so I'm feeling a little more with it this morning. I went most of yesterday thinking it was Friday…so those day of the week posts are very helpful. LOL The mild sedative doesn't wear off until about noon so she's still a little 'stoned' in the morning. But she's eating well and the incision looks good and it's healing well. Will spend today trying to find my cancer dog diet books. They might still be packed up in the basement.

    sheba—Hope you have a great day traveling to see your family.

    gaga—Oooo, yay, I need some asparagus! Should be able to complete the season in next today. Will check out cyber thing too. Hope you are doing okay after you bumped your head. Hopefully the air will clear in a few days. Whenever I hear about those huge fires I can't help but think of all the poor wildlife.

    april-Glad Stella is healing and you were persistent in having that removed. Will pray they got it all. My DH went through that right when we were packing up to move last Summer. Found a spot, had to take extra tissue around it, so familiar with the process. He went yesterday to derm to have 6 spots frozen, luckily he caught those in time. Need to stay on top of that stuff, Stella is lucky to have you.

    All of you in the smoke areas, please take care of yourselves. As you know we are quite familiar. Windows closed, stay inside and if you have an air filter, turn it on. Crazy how bad it is. We had it here when we first arrived (from Canada) and then had a mulch fire last week, smoke over us for a few days.

    Off to go see what the cyber sale looks like.

    I’m home! But leaving on another short weekend get-away tomorrow (after laundry is caught up, some groceries bought, etc.) Meeting up with three couples that we have known for about 40 years. We don’t live close together anymore, but have an annual retreat together. Looking forward to it in one way, but also a bit weary as I personally have been traveling every weekend since mid-March when the twins were born. But hopefully the “down-time” will be good for us.

    Not sure that I have enough energy to cyber shop. May just wait for the next sale as I am in need of rest.

    The smoke this morning (in Maryland) was terrible. You could see it and smell it! I visited a friend of mine along the way home and almost wished I had put my mask on to walk from the car to her apartment. Found out that little girl’s school may be canceled tomorrow due to the smoke and we are in Virginia. I feel for all the people who lost their homes. I just watched an interview of one lady who lost her home. So sad! I can’t imagine.

    Moms – I don’t remember you sharing that about your younger ds. I guess that means empty nest for you again, right?

    cmpets – I enjoyed “A Man Called Otto”, too. Not familiar with the other show you mentioned.
