   Farmers Day !
   I don’t know if it is my imagination but seems like the garden isn’t growing in NEXT… will give it another day or so and see what happens. It figures that Farmer Wil is looking for veggies I don’t have enough of.
   The ghost did give out 5 gems today !

   Birthday Party day for the gal who works in the cafeteria ! Picking up her cake shortly and all bringing presents.. She has been calling multiple times a day and numerous text messages … just so we don’t forget ! ( LOL ) She has been talking about it for months !

   moms.. Humphrey is just a growing boy who needs his sleep !
   May be better that he naps rather than be under foot and be helpful .

   Oh no, Dee! Naughty lil’ kitten! I haven’t had much success shopping for lamp shades in the past, for some reason. I always “replace” with the wrong type, end up having to return, and usually end up buying a new lamp. LOL!

   heck no sheba!
   i have been carrying the damaged lampshade thru all the stores!

   found some at target thankfully………..and of course it was a set of lamps, so one new shade means two new shades…………..which is fine, i never liked the old ones anyhow………but like the lamp and too cheap at the time to pay for new shades……

   Hello all!

   It’s rainy and dreary here today. I just want to curl up on the couch with Stella for the afternoon.

   gaga—Congrats on the diamonds from the ghost! Stella does love her classes. She does pretty well at most of the activities. I hope your nephew and his wife had a good time in Ireland. I bet those hooligan pups were so happy to have them home. 🙂 Oh that turbulence sounds awful. The last plane ride I took had wind shear. We were flying home in a storm. The plan dropped like a rock for what felt like 10,000 ft. Everyone’s phones went up in the air. When the plan settled I was holding hands with the woman next to me who I did not know. We both kinda laughed and I said I don’t fly very much and she said she flies all the time and that’s never happened to her before. Then the flight attendants were like, it’s just wind shear, no big deal, you got a roller coaster ride. lol Hope your cafeteria friends has a wonderful birthday. That’s too funny she’s been reminding all of you. She must be very excited, that’s sweet.

   dee—I just went and made those clothing recipes so I wouldn’t forget. Lizards? Yikes. Glad you found some shades at Target.

   moms—I know, I think the market should be open the whole 24 hours of the day it’s there. I think I did the same thing the last time I tried to find new shades. I just ended up buying two new lamps, but I did find them at Target.

   Topazz—Still checking rooms for that movie bed.

   Can’t remember who asked me about the pepper. April, maybe?
   Anyway, my dh has used cayenne pepper and/or black pepper to sprinkle around plants that the deer loved. He sprinkled them around our pansies last year and we were able to enjoy them the whole season.

    I had a bit of a blue day. Yeah…I let a student’s comment get to me.
    When I asked one little girl how she was doing, she told that she wasn’t doing too good. I asked her why not and she said, #1 – I hate your class; #2 I am tired. Maybe she didn’t use the word hate. She may have said “I don’t like your class.” It didn’t really bother me yesterday. But today I was sad about it. I want it to be fun.

    you might have just been a side effect of that little girl’s “grumpy” or she might have been mad at having to come to class to leave her mom, or a toy, or because she was tired, or who knows what – hope you can let it go & keep pouring into them ♥

    i let little things like that get to me, so i understand – dee is great at putting my head on straight though 🙂

    Sheba.. So sorry the little girl made that comment! She is too young to understand how much time effort and energy you put into preparing your class to make it interesting and fun ! If you remember the Art Linkletter show ” Kids
    Say the Darndest Things ” you know they say things without thinking… and they have no filter. Try not to let it bother you too much…many of us would love to take your class and have tea parties ! ( hearts )

    April.. Your flight sounds terrifying to me ! Things like that are why I no longer fly… I was on a flight that needed to make an emergency landing shortly after take off. The landing gear was stuck halfway between being retracted into the plane.. and locked in place.. We had to circle above Orlando dumping fuel . The pilot gave updates by saying things like don’t be alarmed there would be emergency vehicles on the runway…we are dumping fuel…
    we may experience a belly landing…I grabbed onto the lady sitting next to me too ! It was very scary… have not flown since. The plane landed safely and all the passengers clapped for the pilot and the crew !

    The gal who works in the cafeteria is a forever kid.. She does have a job and is a very dependable worker. She is a sweet and happy person and most everyone is very nice to her. She is a great example of what more people should be… kind loving and always happy !

    moms.. Thanks for the offer for the Patio Furniture. I opened a couple of couches but this is probably not my favorite theme… I do love the new guinea pig that seems to go along with this new them… I am just deciding on its name.

    Deluxe Wednesday … some kind of antelope but nothing special about PSI or the PSF so I am passing on this one.

    dee.. Happy you were able to find a new lamp shade ! It was smart to bring the old one as there are so many different sizes and shapes .. Hope your kitty does not bother with it !

    Dee – Ah ha! Your suggestion is similar to one my dad would give to me. His catch phrase was to “velcro” them to the wall.

    Moms – You are probably right! She was probably too tired and it is the first class of the day.

    Anyway, if it was the tea party class maybe that little girl would be happier. But it is the Spanish class. Her parent hasn’t been easy to deal with either, so I wonder about a lot of things. Sigh. So….moving on….I am clearing a side table near my desk so that I can apply myself to tax stuff and I come across a card from a boy who took my class last year. He said, “This is my favorite class. I love learning Spanish from you.” I needed that! Then and now! The power of an encouraging word! ♥

    Gaga – The birthday gal sounds lovely! It’s fun to celebrate when you know that it brings so much joy!

    April & Gaga – Not a fan of turbulent planes, but I did enjoy your stories. Not sure the pilot did a good job of calming his passengers on Gaga’s plane, however.

    my mil & mother are leery and avoid flying too

    i’ve been on very bumpy flights & get a little nervous when they are like that, but one time i really wasn’t sure we were going to make it through a storm – sketchiest plane, crew, & flight i ever took – i’ve stuck with delta since then 😆

    moms.. I can rationalize that flying is the best way to travel and no doubt safer than travelling by car but can’t get past the fear.

    chick could not make it to bathroom and attendants hurriedly gave her a grocery bag

    WAAAY BACK
    i remember my first flight to germany…….everyone was dressed up and they have out shrimp and champagne as it was that cities first flight to GE…
    thankfully my bff and grandma were with, so they got to indulge
    i was dressed! mini skirt, tights, heels………….so of course they lost my luggage and had to live with that for three days!

    so now we know how to fly………….dh and i do not like it as we did so much in service………needless to say, he got a lot of the icky flights………….web seats etc

    Farmers Day today !

    No plans for Easter.. not sure what I will have..

    moms.. Will be nice to have brunch with your mom.. I am sure she appreciates spending the day with your family ! Picking himself up tomorrow.. will be nice opportunity to visit one on one… Taking my cafeteria buddy to get her toes done for her birthday… Will be a busy day ! I don’t usually like to make that OSU trip that late in the day.. but he is working till 330… I am an early bird and by that time of the day.. I am done…More traffic

    dee… would have so annoying to have your luggage lost for days !

    gaga—Oh wow, your experience was terrifying too. I agree with Sheba, that pilot wasn’t very reassuring. It’s been almost 8 years for me and I haven’t been on a plane since either. So thankful dh doesn’t mind driving everywhere. I will have to get on a plane eventually some day, but I avoid it if I can. Your friend at the cafeteria sounds wonderful. I bet she loved her party. You are so right…wish more people were like her, kind, loving and happy. I opened my last spring mystery bag and got an extra Purple Blooms Hill…it’s yours if you want it. Going to try and get a pic of Stella in her Easter hat…hopefully she will cooperate. Enjoy your one on one time with himself tomorrow!

    Sheba—Yes, that was me asking about the pepper. Thanks, will try that too. Woke up to half my tulip leaves eaten up. I’m so sorry your student said that to you. I understand about having those blue days, try as we might, some things just hurt us. I’m so glad you found that note reminding you what an amazing teacher you are! It showed up at the exact right time. <3 With all the love and care you put into the classes, you really show up for those kids. And I too would love to attend your class and have fabulous tea parties! 🙂

    dee—When I bought new lamps it was also because of pets too. 🙂 Comment 23 – LOL! I love the flying stories. I wish flying were still like that. Where you got dressed up and people had manners. Not so much the chick that had to use the grocery bag or losing your luggage for days. My first plane ride was when I got my first real 'grown up' job. I was probably 23yrs old. They flew me to Boston for some training. Midwest Express, they served a dinner meal just flying from Detroit to Boston. It was shrimp. I'm allergic so I gave it to the guy sitting next to me. I was sharing food with a stranger…on a plane! Crazy times! We are discussing Easter dinner tonight, so I can hit the grocery store in the morning. Probably the usual, ham, scallop potatoes, deviled eggs. Pineapple upside down cake sounds good!

    April.. I guess the pilot was trying to keep the passengers informed as to what was happening… but personally made me a little more panicky.

    Popping in to say hello.

    Just got to Nashville. Spent a day and a half in Atlanta, was fun to see.

    I drove both days, Savannah to Atlanta and Atlanta to here. Luckily we missed the storm and I did not have to drive in any weather.

    Hope everyone is doing okay. I will catch up on here tomorrow.
