   Chicken Tortilla Soup Recipe

   2 pounds chicken
   2 Tbl butter (original recipe calls for 4)
   32 oz chicken broth
   1 can Rotel
   1 can or 2 cups whole kernel corn
   1 can drained reduced sodium black beans (optional)
   1 can no sat added diced tomatoes (optional)
   1 large onion chopped
   2 tsp minced garlic
   2 tsp ground cumin
   2 tsp chili powder
   Salt & pepper to taste
   Garnish: Non fat plain Greek yogurt, multigrain Tostitos, cheese,

   In the pot, combine broth, butter, onion, garlic, spices, and chicken.
   Boil until chicken is done, remove chicken, shred, and return to pot.
   Add Rotel and corn (and optional beans and tomatoes if desired) and simmer for an hour or more.

   Can simmer for a couple of hours to cook chicken then simmer for hours once all ingredients are added or cook in crockpot low for 6 hours, shred chicken, then cook additional 1 hour or more with remaining ingredients.

   Creamy Chicken Noodle Soup

   8 servings Prep 25 m Ready In 6 h 45 m

   Ingredients
   1 (32 fluid ounce) container reduced-sodium chicken broth
   3 cups water
   2½ cups chopped cooked chicken (about 12 ounces)
   3 medium carrots, sliced (1½ cups)
   3 stalks celery, sliced (1½ cups)
   1½ cups frozen green beans
   ¼ cup chopped onion
   1½ teaspoons dried thyme, crushed
   3/4 teaspoon garlic-pepper seasoning
   3 ounces reduced-fat cream cheese (Neufchâtel), cut up
   2 cups dried egg noodles

   Preparation
   1. In a 5- to 6-quart slow cooker combine broth, the water, chicken, carrots, celery, mushrooms, onion, thyme, and garlic-pepper seasoning.

   2. Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 6 to 8 hours or on high-heat setting for 3 to 4 hours.

   3. If using low-heat setting, turn to high-heat setting. Stir in cream cheese until combined. Stir in uncooked noodles. Cover and cook for 20 to 30 minutes more or just until noodles are tender.

    Thanks moms.. didn’t realize that there were two different gifts .. The teacup ride is animated and so much bigger than the dispenser.. I guess I hadn’t read the whole thing. Looked up the promotions today and sounds like you can get the teacup ride all of 2023 with Deluxe Membership purchase…

    Hello All-

    Booked our Savannah stay for all of next month through Easter. Hopefully we like it. lol Ready to get out of Florida. We stop at the Space Center and to see dd before we leave, then that’s it. Not planning on coming back until next fall for parents weekend. Thank goodness. :))))

    Need to make time to go on and chek my Aztec stock. I think I have everything. Thanks for posting it here, makes it so much easier. I may need more dining chairs.

    Been busy running around. Went to South Beach tor the first time this past weekend. We enjoyed walking all over and taking it in. May try to take the train back down to Miami this weekend to see a different area. Lots of driving next week, so don’t want to drive down again, but dh wants to explore the other side a bit.

    Hello all,

    Freezing rain here. Went grocery shopping early this morning before the roads got bad. Saw so many people out doing their daily walks before it got too icy.

    gaga—All good here. Had a vet visit with Stella yesterday. Got her updated rabies vac and checked out a lump on her hip. Just a fatty lipoma, harmless…yay! She got lots of treats and love and then napped all afternoon. I bought some bags today too. I got a Forget Me Not Beanbag Chair, Lovely Lilac Bed (YAY) and Lovely Lilac Dresser. I hope your sister and niece are able to make it to Seattle in time.

    dee—I haven’t been able to find much info on items in Next other than what they post on WKNewz. Hope you are enjoying cooking and movies while your dh has a play date. 🙂

    cmpets—Your trips sounds awesome. Hope you love Savannah! I like visiting FL too, but not sure I could handle the heat to live there.

    April – You are right! I am glad to be home in my own bed. I discovered though that a King-sized bed is nicer than I thought! Being a “queen”, though, my bed is queen-sized. LOL!

    And I agree – I wish Ganz labeled each item Aztec Precious Stone Table, or Aztec Turquoise Dining Table, etc…..

    Dee – I don’t think I would make the creamy taco soup since I try to avoid dairy. Of course, I eat a bit of dairy with tortilla/taco soup, but I have small quantities.

    Thanks also for the next codes, Dee. I think that I have entered them….but can’t remember for sure about the “partycat” one.

    Oh, Gaga, the window on the wheel does show a moon depending on where you put it in your room! I like that because it means only one moon and I can used the other windows in the same room. I mean….who wants to have more than one moon showing??? It makes sense.

    cmpets – I never ever wanted to visit or live in FL. At one point, my dh’s job relocated to FL and we had make a decision. He declined. But now, my sis lives there, so we actually did go visit there in August of 2021. I liked it better than I thought that I would. It reminded me somewhat of Puerto Rico with all the palm trees. My sister has mixed feelings about it, but it is mainly because most of her kiddos and grandchildren are up north. I don’t think I’ve been to Savannah, other than passing through. But I did enjoy visiting St. Simon’s Island on our way back from FL. We didn’t have enough time there, so I want to go back.

    Good Morning All !

    Poured rain all day yesterday but thankfully it wasn’t snow ! Better today and expected to be in the mid 50’s before the bottom drops out again.
    New NEXT Season today.. new theme not all that exciting but I like doing the challenges just to see how many I can get.
    Saw the Ghost early this morning and it gave out TEN jewels.. I think he made a mistake ! I have one Classic account that I am still trying to get 20 gems…have 19 before I can do the mining job..
    Stopped in yesterday to see friends in the Clinic.. Heard that my long time family doctor who retired years ago has had a stroke and not expected to make it…. Feel so badly as he was a kind and caring physician .

    moms.. thanks for posting the link for the Mystery Bags… Have two bags to open and hope to be lucky enough to get the Purple Blooms Hill.. we’ll see.

    April… happy to hear that Stella’s lump was diagnosed as a lipoma… I bet you were very concerned. Weather across the country looked dreadful… I am so over cold/snow but most likely one more month before Spring really arrives here but have had a very mild winter. Himself’s sister actually lives in Seattle and she moved there after getting her Masters’ Degree… and unable to find a job in her field during the pandemic… She decided on Seattle as she had a couple of good friends living there… she took a job in a homeless shelter and has been able to support herself thus far.

    cmpets.. thanks for your update ! Hopefully you will love Savannah and Georgia in general… My brother lives on Saint Simons Island and loves it there excect for the extreme heat in the Summer months.

    Lastly… If there are any Grays Anatomy fans… Tonight is Meredith Gray’s final episode ! Have been an avid for years… hate see her leave.

    Hey, guys! I’m sorry I haven’t been around in a long time. I check the blog every once in a while to keep up, but haven’t posted.

    While we’re on the subject of the Aztec theme retiring (why are they still retiring themes?), does anyone have an extra bed? I have several other pieces I can trade you for the bed. Unfortunately it’s the only thing I’m missing.

    In other fun news, I leave for Germany in a week. I’m going for 2 weeks to celebrate my 25th birthday! I’m very excited.
