   Good Morning All !

   moms.. spinach dip sounds delicious… going to make some too for the game.
   Just need to go back and pick up the pumpernickel on Sunday !
   I really enjoyed the ceremony last night for Hall of Fame ! Hosted by Kelly Clarkson… Not sure she was the best fit for that venue but she did a good job.
   They brought out the entire team of people who resuscitated Damar including staff at CMC… Damar made an appearance and gave a very heartfelt speech.
   Not a dry eye in the house ( including mine ! ) Many other awards given for various things.. Evening was topped off my having Joe Thomas inducted…
   Well worth the watch for me… I stayed awake for the whole thing !

   dee Happy you found a pair of flip flops for your birthday ! You still have some time to find your shoes for Boston. Looks like moms provided some ideas… Did you get a Bloomin Onion at the Outback ?
   What are you making for the Super Bowl Game ?

   Sheba… How exciting that your son/wife coming here to visit…I forget your family was expecting twins ! Hope all goes well and will put them on the prayer list.. Hope you enjoy the visit and still be able to get away for your vacation !

   April.. Happy that your project is winding down ! I agree with you about the commercials over the past couple of years… Were not as good as years past but I am so hoping Budweiser returns to the Clydesdale/Dalmatian theme.
   The news here showed some of the pups that will be featured in the Puppy Bowl… one of which was a Dalmatian.. so cute. I will definitely catch a bit of that.

   New game in NEXT started today…. need to figure that out !! First attempt 4 kc !
   Somehow was given a treasure chest in my NEXT dock.. sure didn’t earn it !
   Saw the ghost this morning…one jewel
   Almost 70 degrees here yesterday ! Record setting for us here in CLE

   i’m excited to get to go in another house in our neighborhood – i’ve only been inside 1 other so far 🙂 i know they have a terrace level bar, but that’s really all i know – i think pretty much every house in here has a bar, but it’s cool to see how different they are

    and is it just me, or do all these (other than betsy) look like the shoes my old grandma wore? Not too be confused with my cool grandma…..cool granny would have worn thigh high leather boots if we let her!

    skyped dd last nite and she said just wear sneakers, no big deal etc
    but but but…………..we did discuss dhs grooming……….every october he grows everything out………..needless to say her currently looks like he came into town for supplies before heading back into the mountains.
    his norm is to shave it all off come march or april……..so dd and i were on him about that………she said for him to tell everyone there that he just got released………….ha ha ha ha ha ha

    Listened to both songs that links were provided. I had not heard of either artist.
    Really liked them both. moms your song was very soulful and I am sure brought back some good memories of your time at the cabin. The song dee was listening to was more upbeat and envisioned her driving home and singing her heart out !

    My two favorite fan designed pets were the kookaburra and the party yak…Just sorry we couldn’t have voted for more than one ! Always interesting to see what they come up with for PSI and PSF… that may have swayed my decision . I guess we will all have to wait and see.. Stay tuned for results next week.

    dee – that’s the problem – some stores online have free returns – definitely need to be able to try on & return if you order

    i wear wide shoes but you certainly don’t want them to slip

    you could see if a kohls near you has them – even if they were the wrong color, you could try on for fit/size

    moms-Spinach dip sounds delicious. We usually take a bottle of La Marca Proseeco or a small potted orchid for hostess. Would LOVE input and ideas from you all on here so I can rotate through a list. Sometimes it’s hard for me to think, especially when I don’t know the hostess well.

    Also pulling for KC, but do not care who wins, we like both teams, but I really like Mahomes.

    gaga-Thanks for the Next info, I barely have time to log on there so have not seen the ghost except twice (once when a friend invited me) and not sure I will even look at the new game any time soon. And 70 degrees is almost as warm as here, nice break from the cold for you.

    Good Afternoon !

    The morning sure got away from me… Was out early and then one stop led to the next ! Just sitting down to check things out… made some spinach dip and threw a meatloaf in the oven which I am planning to make a sandwich tomorrow for lunch. Going to cut up some carrot sticks and enjoy the snacks during the big game tomorrow ! I still have a few chores to do before I settle in !

    dee.. it is always nice to be missed ! Your comments always make me chuckle just when I need some humor ! Hopefully you can track down your shoes for upcoming event ! I bet your dd is getting excited too !
    Maybe if you leave a razor on the sink your dh will get the hint !
    I know you are not a big football fan but some of the commercials are worth watching the game for !

    moms… It is always fun to see how other people decorate their homes ! I sometimes think I should have gone into real estate… but oh well too late !
    Have you decided on your hostess gift ? I hope those who are at the get together – watch the game ! I would like to hire you to do some personal shopping too ! Seems like you do an amazing job of checking so many different sources..

    hello everyone!

    cmpets – la marca prosecco is a go to for me too, i like to give a bottle of hand soap or a candle mostly – i always try to take something “consumable” – occasionally a small box of godiva or something

    there is a restaurant that we like that makes a cocktail that i love, i mentioned to dh that we should go see if the bartender will tell me how to make a batch of it to take – the bartender said she would make a batch for me or give me the recipe some time – all i know is the contents: ketel one & ketel one peach & orange botanical vodka, agave, lemon juice, fresh grapefruit, basil . . .

    gaga -i keep some candles on hand, so when in doubt, i’ll take one of those tomorrow – i also have some la marca prosecco like cmpets mentioned, so maybe that? idk – i am a pretty good shopper but not a fancy dresser at all 🙂

    qos – yay! enjoy the littles! hope you figured out meals without having to spend too much time cooking instead of playing 🙂

    We always bring food to our super bowl parties, so I never thought about giving a host/hostess gift. (You all are probably glad that you didn’t invite me!)

    For dinner tonight we had chicken tortilla soup. For the littles, they had chicken, rice, peas & toast.

    Good Morning !

    moms..
    Very much looking forward to the game and hopefully some good commercials.
    I received an unexpected phone call last night from himself ! We had a really nice chat and he is anxiously awaiting his first trip abroad. He has received his itinerary and making some plans for a couple of places he will go on his “off time”… He is planning a weekend home before he leaves to do some shopping and pass out some hugs…( my word not his ! ) LOL… He went out to dinner with friends and actually ate in the restaurant… first time since beginning of Covid. Enjoy the game and spending time with your new neighbors.

    dee.. chicken wings sound really good ! I had bought some party wings for the occasion but opted out and will make them another time… Really had a taste for spinach dip… Made the meatloaf yesterday and will have a sandwich today for main meal.

    Sheba… not sure what GW mode item is but my guess is Ganz World item from those given out for monthly Peek a News Challenge… I rarely win the quick draws. Have fun with your full house !

    April… What’s on your Super Bowl snack list ?
    Planning on watching a bit of the Puppy Bowl … I may have previously mentioned that amongst the pups will be a Dalmatian ! All puppies are so cute but for me there is almost nothing cuter than a dalmatian pup…
    Our local news features a nightly segment called “Worth the Watch” One night this week they had a pit bull who was missing an ear…not sure how it happened but sitting next to him was a stuffed toy of a dog also missing an ear… He looked over at this stuffed toy as if to say… “just like me” Priceless !

    List of Sunday chores… then will kick back and enjoy the day.
    I hope you all enjoy your day and those interested enjoy the Super Bowl !

    gaga—I just got done finalizing the menu with dh LOL It’s just the two of us. It’s 45 and sunny here. It feels like a heat wave! I can’t believe you are almost 70 degrees. Dh is grilling wings and I’m making wedge salad and guac….and brownies. Looking forward to the game today too. Pulling for the Chiefs but will be happy for the Eagles if they win. I will have to catch some of the puppy bowl to see all the cuties. Oh goodness, I would have loved seeing that news segment with the one eared pittie. 🙂

    moms—I don’t really like going to super bowl parties anymore either. I like watching the game and the commercials so I don’t want to socialize or chit chat. We used to always get together with our good friends before they moved to FL and while I loved spending time with them and making good food, I was always sad I couldn’t really get into the game. I love those Betsy Johnson shoes! Guys wear tennis shoes with suits now, so I think we can wear them too. We love that prosecco too. That’s usually our go-to…wine, tequila or bourbon if we know what they like. Chocolates, candles, potted plant/flower for non-drinkers. That cocktail sounds delicious. I agree, the balloon is meh. Have fun checking out the house. I love looking at different kinds of houses and how people decorate.

    dee—Little Big Town is one of my favs too. Love their music. Hope you are able to find those shoes in your size. We use Bravecto on Stella for Flea/Tick. It’s a chewable that lasts 12 weeks.

    Sheba—Oh, have fun with the two littles. Will keep your family in our prayers for safe deliveries and healthy babies. 🙂 Haven’t tried the new game yet.

    cmpets—What a bummer the place only has a tiny tv. Hope you can find a nice spot to watch and game and have some good snacks.

    Plumbers coming tomorrow to fix shower. The guts inside the main handle have corroded. Very hard water here. It was either order new parts that were big $$ or knock out tiles and put in a whole new handle situation. We paid the $$ for new parts. Really didn’t want to have to knock out half a wall of title and try and find something to match.

    Gotta get to farmer’s market today before I forget. I missed Thursday and why does that make me so mad?? LOL I got some barrels when I was able to open the treasure chest on Tuesday. Hope all have a good day and enjoy the game or enjoy a nice Sunday.

    april – i get so mad when i miss the farmers market, too – it really ticks me off LOL we might not stay for too much of the game so we can watch, just playing it by ear, nice we only have to walk down the street 🙂 dh was working on trying to duplicate the cocktail – this sweet man (he has his moments) muddling basil for me . . . he got close, so i said stick with that, then he accidentally messed up the portions, achieved a wonderful duplicate & has no idea exact measurements – isn’t that the way it always goes?! it’s yum, but i wonder if he sampled too much in trying to get the mix right 😆 i don’t partake very often at all, so it goes straight to my head – cheap date 🙂

    dee – since our kitties don’t go outside, the vet recommended we only continue treating the dog for flea & tick – i go with their recommendation

    qos – i think you’re right – if we are taking food or whatever that’s usually all i do – i think i’ll follow that plan today – i’ll have the dip tray with bread & crackers for dipping – no sense in taking anything else . . . i’m waiting to cut the bread so it’s fresh

    gaga – so glad you go a nice chat with himself, good that he’s getting out a little with that big dream trip coming up – so exciting – i made us a layered dip today, too, bean dip, greek yogurt, chunky salsa, cheese, lettuce – i usually layer black olives but ds & i don’t like them & dh didn’t care so i decided not to have to pick around them today

    did anyone watch the pregame stuff about the young man named joe & brandon graham? i sat here & cried – so heartwarming – Brandon Graham seems like a good guy for that

    Dee, thanks for the info on dye event! I really like those walls! I hope I have time to look for the floating dye! It will be hard as I will be on vacation with my dh. It will be hard to fit in all my addictions with 24/7 time spent together. LOL! No kids there to distract him….Plus, I think we will be out & about a lot.

    Of course, I have plenty of the “old” dye. But I hope to have a bit of luck collecting the new dye! On 2nd thought, I will probably have more use for the walls made with the old dye. The new dye is rather interesting, though!

    great game!

    good party – our neighbors do it well, they had a bunch of tvs & we got to watch – the people i have gotten to know a little have all been so nice, friendly, & real

    the house – okay, the front doors are a fabulous iron! they have a house that is welcoming & pretty – nice chandeliers, dark trim & cabinets – very traditionally decorated but welcoming, not too formal

    the food was good – a couple of good dips, not sure what they were, honeybaked ham sandwiches, brisket, shrimp, brownies, etc. a lot of food

    great football though, love that it was close, thought it was a great game, some of the play calls by kc in the last half were super as someone who appreciates the game

    can’t think of my favorite commercial, but there was one that i really liked, i guess i need to go back & see – although we all laughed at the ED spoof commercial

    i loved the half time show – i think rihanna is stunningly beautiful, was excited to see her baby bump, & think her voice is enthralling – i love what they did with the stage & those flying panels – i’ll bet it was really cool in person

    now i’m typing with one hand & scratching a cuddly kitty belly with the other
