   Logged into my Webkinz account this morning only to find a message that read An unauthorized attempt to intercept Webkinz communications was detected.To protect your account your session was terminated.
   Please try again later. I restarted and cleared cache… Is anyone else getting this message ? My NEXT account works fine… Have never seen this message before.

   I just had the same thing happen and I came here to see if it happened to someone else (I’m on a Mac FWIW). I hope that’s just their new way of saying “Webkinz is under Maintenance”!

   I found some old posts about this message on other sites (from years back). I think we should wait until the Webkinz staff is awake and reachable, before trying to do anything on our end. From what I’ve read, most of the time it was a Webkinz server related issue. Hope it gets fixed. I have snowflakes to catch! 🙂

   thanks for responding ! I did send an email to Webkinz Support earlier this morning but my e mail is sometimes wonky so not sure yet if it was sent !
   I think I read somewhere that maintenance was scheduled for January 18th.. so hopefully they will get things fixed in a timely fashion !

    I opened the app to see if I still got the error message, and I noticed it did a quick update, then gave me the correct log in screen (Yay!). I guess maybe the update was part of the fix?

    I caught up on all the comments, but then I see someone comment about someone’s comment and I wonder what I missed. Does that make sense???

    Anyway, I’ve been in a slump for days and now it is Wednesday and I wish that I could go back to Monday. I have so much to do, but I haven’t had my Webkinz fun which I should have had time for if I had NOT been so grumpy and slumpy.

    What I mean about Webkinz fun is that I have some free accounts that need pet codes added (I have the codes…but….) And I have several pets waiting to be adopted on NEXT, but my enthusiasm is a bit low for NEXT. I have LOTS that I want to do Webkinz-wise, but RL is calling my name. And I’d love to do some decorating….in WW.

    Alex – I’ve had four teeth removed at one time, but eight??? Wow! Mine had to come out because of the headaches I was having which went away after the wisdom teeth were removed. Good luck with your braces, etc. Four of my five kids had braces.

    Dee – your appetizer spread sounds appetizing! LOL! On Christmas Eve we always have a finger food spread. This year it was shrimp w/cocktail sauce (have you ever looked at the sodium content of cocktail sauce???), rolled up lunch meat and cheese to go with crackers, cheese sticks, veggie trees (crescent rolls, cream cheese, and loads of veggies in the shape of a Christmas tree), punch, sour cream pound cake, lots of goodies from Spain that my dd and her boyfriend brought, yogurt pretzels, mints, nuts…..

    Hi all
    Have hardly had time for ww and winterfest. It is one of my favorites, but just can’t sit around waiting or snowflakes right now. I did get the rug, had no idea it rotates. lol
    Mostly packed up. It has been so nice to be here, just busier than I thought. Did not have time to see half the people we wanted. Lots of rain, which also makes it not as fun to drive to see everyone.
    I put the buddy codes in on all 3 accounts, and got ONE mitten. The rest were snowball buddies. I know this group will appreciate how funny that is.

    qos – my enthusiasm is low for next, so i am just doing the farmer’s market – i missed a couple of times over the holidays, so my garden is a little more sparse than usual but it’s fine . . .

    i do enjoy adopting pets though, that always makes me more excited, so maybe you can do that in WW??? do you have names for them? i love decorating, so that is a fun stress reliever for me

    I haven’t yet entered the codes on my account so not sure of what pet buddies I will be lucky enough to receive! ALL snowballs out of that many codes is crazy, moms!

    I adopted a pet on my son-in-law’s account which was fun. He gave me the name over Christmas, but we didn’t have time to play together with all of the activity here. Maybe next Christmas! LOL! He only plays to amuse me.

    But now….I’m going through Quizzy’s language art section to get 100 questions done so that I can do the Ms.Birdy’s assistant job on his account. Sigh…I may do it in increments.

    LL—Oh My YAY!!!! Webkinz guide is back up!!! I missed it so much. Thank you LL, Boper and all the peeps that got it back up and running. This made my week!

    moms—Ugh me too. I can’t seem to go to bed until midnight/1am either. Then I don’t sleep well. Was up at 6am. Went on the couch with stella. Fell back to sleep around 8am. I’m so messed up.

    sheba—I also have some side accts that need a pet adopted. But just don’t have the motivation right now. I like ‘Grumpy slump’ LOL that was me too earlier this week.

    dee—Oh, the warm kitty song. Miss that show.

    gaga—I did hear CJ was heading for the pros. I think it’s common for those talented kids that know they are going pro to skip finishing college. I know they want to get to the pros while they are young and healthy. He did such an amazing job in that bowl game. Sorry about himself. They definitely go through some changes as they start becoming adults. Moms said it perfectly…they want freedoms and respect without ALL the responsibilities. Hopefully he will come around and remember you are his only gaga! <3 Did you hear about Damar Hamlin from the Bills? He collapsed on the field and went into cardiac arrest Monday night. He's in ICU. So awful. Been praying for a full recovery. Stella is doing great. She likes the warmer temps, but it's been drizzly or raining for several days. I let her out today and she took off and charged the back fence to watch all the deer scatter. When she came back in I noticed a bunch of dirt on her front paw….not dirt….spent a couple of hours cleaning and sanitizing the carpet. Lots to do this week. We are headed to MI to have Christmas with my family on Friday.

    cmpets—Bummer it's been raining for you. The one good thing about the classic app is you can catch snowflakes on it! So have the app open my phone and try and catch snowflakes when I'm working or watching TV at night. I think I have one of everything, but the rug and the polarberry thing have been the hardest to get for me. I'm sure we all can help with what you are missing.

    Good Morning All !

    Sheba… nice to see you ! I think it’s normal to have a grumpy slump as moms called it… Post Holiday is such a letdown… All the planning , shopping and preparations and then it’s over ! Hopefully over the next few days you will snap out of your slump and feel better !
    I used quite a few tokens to complete Arte’s Adventure… They don’t make enough tokens for me to complete Cake It Up ( LOL ) but I try every day !
    Much prefer the challenge where multiple plays accumulate what is required to complete the challenge !

    moms.. Has to be very frustrating to have sleep schedule mixed up… Must be the season…Hopefully you were able to get a good night’s sleep and get back into your sleep routine… I am curious about the new Deluxe Wednesday Mystery bag… Packing is different.. so looks interesting..
    I know it will be difficult to pack your ds up and send him back to school !

    I did hear about Damar.. So terrible.. Heard report this morning that he is improving but still vented, Hopefully he was oxygenated well during resuscitation .He has so many people praying for his recovery !
    On a lighter note… Joe Thomas was nominated to Hall of Fame.. fan favorite around here… He does so much for the community.. all around nice guy. I hope he gets in… I still wish Clay Mathews Jr. had made it in.. thought he deserved it and was always one of my favorites !
    It must be fun to have deer visit Stella near her yard ! Sounds like they aren’t interested in playing with her ( LOL )
    One of my work friends is adopting a Cane Corso/Mastiff pup.. She will be picking him up in a week. He is adorable ! I guess she is aware how big he will get when he is full grown !!

    dee.. sounds like your kitty is full of energy and quite entertaining ! To bad they don’t have kitty agility competitions !

    i just read the update about damar – he’s still on the ventilator so cannot speak, but he wrote on paper to ask who won the game – his medical team told him he won at the game of life ♥ they seem very optimistic that he is neurologically “in tact” ♥ – truly an answer to prayers

    Very disappointed in the Winterfest cookie prizes.. All from previous fests but did get a lunch truck which dispenses the same ones as the Clubhouse truck !
    They are also not new… I am happy to have gotten all of the prizes on snowflake catching !

    dee… missed the art nouveau in Next Curio Shop but hopefully catch it the next time offered.. I like that theme !

    Good morning!

    I’ve been thinking about what Moms mentioned about a “word for the year”. I haven’t yet come up with one (although funk, slump, unmotivated seem to be possible words for the first week of the year). I hope to come up with a more appropriate word before January is over. 😉 I don’t really do New Year’s resolutions, but finding a word may actually be a new resolution. HA ha!

    Last year my word was “peace” (such as inner peace), but during the year I changed it to “focus” because I get distracted so easily. Which comes to one of the topics I have been exploring this week….ADHD. My dd thinks that describes me. I’ve been listening to podcasts on it that she recommended and some symptoms don’t describe me at all and others are right on target. Anyway….even if I don’t have it, I find the podcasts interesting and helpful on the topic.

    Gaga – Yep, my classes start on Monday. Lots to do!

    About venison…
    Used to have it when my husband was interested in hunting. It really met a need in our family at the time because we were on limited funds and it provided LOTS of meals. I had to learn how to fix it and the trick was cooking it with tomato sauce. Also, the last deer we had was very prized catch, but due to age was very tough. That was the last one. So, while I don’t mind venison, I would never go out of my way for it.

    my word for the year is work

    and i know i have asked before, but does anyone on here do genealogy?
    i need a birth certificate of a deceased person…….i know the birthdate and place of birth and names……….possible names…………and this is so sad as now i wonder about birthdate and place of birth…………..and it is my mom!

    and NO she did not work for the CIA…………
    i just told dh, that i have my data going back thru my grandmas lineage, but figured to start with early ish facts and get a birth certificate………of course, i think of these things on a friday after hours……….
    suggestions/clues/referrals are all welcome……….

    Heading to OSU with himself… taking two cars so we can leave his with him.
    Weather seems like it will be good for travel and gives my sister and I a chance to visit on the way home. Hearing good news about Damar… he is off the vent and continuing to make good progress ..

    dee.. I don’t do Genealogy but wondering about Ancestry.com. I am not sure how much they would charge but my sister in law used them to help with her search.. The other thought I had was that if you know your mom’s county/state of birth call them and they would most likely have a birth certificate for your mom. Hope that helps..

    Sheba… I agree with moms… your family is so lucky to have you ! ( hearts )
    as well as the kids you teach ! All the love that goes into planning family get togethers not to mention the preparations and work that goes into meals, housing .. and then clean up ! Enjoy your weekend.

    Good morning, all! Happy Saturday!

    Thank you all so much for your thoughts, comments, and prayers! I have been getting better each day, although I still feel taped, stitched, and pieced together. I was able to get a few more days off of work, but will probably go back next week. Not sure how that will go since my energy only lasts for short amounts of time before I have to sit and lean my head back. Maybe I’ll go in for the morning, go home for a long-ish lunch, and then go back in the afternoon. We’ll see …

    My word for the past year is definitely … HEALTH. We had maxed out our high-deductible plan earlier in the year with my son’s surgery, so we just started scheduling all of the appointments that we had been putting off. I’m convinced that’s what made me finally get a mammogram. So this next year’s word will probably also be HEALTH, but on the other side of it. I’m sure radiation treatments will max us out again, so I might as well get the carpal tunnel surgery I’ve been needing and get some other smallish things taken care of. I’m certainly taking things more seriously at this point.

    I have been enjoying catching snowflakes in Winterfest. I really like the rug and am trying to get 4 of them so I can display them in each version. Seems like they give us a nice a long time to catch them!

    Dee, I have done some genealogy, although much of it before it was on the internet. If you write to the courthouse in the county where your mom was born, they should be able to send you a copy of what you need. I have been looking for my grandmother’s marriage license. She had mentioned to me that they had to drive out a long way before they found a judge who would marry them, because she was Protestant and he was Catholic. (At least that’s the story … 😉 I’ve written to all of the courthouses around, but so far, no luck. Good luck finding your mom’s info. It’s nice to have something concrete in your hands.

    What prompted your interest in genealogy, Dee?

    I had a project in middle school where I had to research my family tree. My dad and I went to the Library of Congress in D.C. to look for information. As a result, it became a hobby of my father. I’m just hoping that he organizes it well to pass along to me someday. He has LOADS of info, but who knows which file or pile it is in.

    Miracle – Glad to hear that you are getting better! HEALTH sounds like a very good word for the year! It is so easy to take it for granted until something comes up that throws us for a loop. I’m forgetting what line of work you are in…are you a teacher? Will there be some flexibility in your work schedule? Or understanding if you need to take a rest? I hope all goes well for you as you transition back into your normal routine.

    As far as Webkinz…I haven’t had much time to look for snowflakes….Yesterday, I pretty much skipped. Hope to have some time today!

    miracle – i think about you so often! take the time that you need for your HEALTH – maybe start with morning hours for the first few days or week & ease into seeing how your stamina lasts before committing to more??? your health comes before work, sorry dee 😛 i had reduction surgery back in my 20’s, and i know that feeling of being stitched all the way across – it’s very vulnerable because just a bump or jostle can be painful – i also distinctly remember not being to raise my arms for so long – wishing you perfectly healthy healing ♥

    dee – i would think you could look on the county website for her birth to see how to obtain a birth certificate – that has worked for me in the past – if not, i have a friend that is big into that kind of thing as she was adopted & trying to locate her birth parents for many years

    work on finding us our true forever home
    work on health
    work on these persnickety kitties

    and have been doing the genealogy off and on since dd was born….have a good line from my dad……..and his mother…..also have a good line with MIL
    i have intel thru my grandma………..her whatever times grandpa was killed in revolutionary war (the good side)………..funny as i have all the way back info, but have nothing as simple as my own mother

    I really do apologize for not being more active.. been tired & my mouth hurts & have headaches. I hope everyone is well. The webkinz glitch on Tuesday night /Wednesday morning was so weird! Mobile was working but not the desktop app? We weren’t kicked out for maintenance either.

    i have a question to throw out here . . .

    so my mom has a cousin – her grandmother & my grandmother were sisters (both deceased)
    so her mom & my mom are 1st cousins
    but she was adopted – the 1st cousin . . .
    idk if she, the 1st cousin, knows she was adopted or not, but her daughter who my mom has been fairly close to their whole lives definitely does NOT know her mother was adopted

    so she’s using her grandmother’s health history for medical decisions, but her grandmother is adoptive not biological

    my mom wants to tell her – wwyd???
