Good Morning All !

It is still so bitter cold here today but looks like warming up mid-end of the week ! 10 degrees this morning.
Really feel like I need to get out of the house today.. I am not sure which direction I will go but will figure it out. Have not walked down to pick up the mail in days as it has been so cold.
Sounds like everyone had a pretty good Christmas Day yesterday.
dee.. happy you were able to skype with your dd ! Not quite the same as in person but a visit none the less.. ( hearts )
moms.. you must be ready for a quiet day ! Hopefully today you can relax a bit and catch up !
April.. There is much to be said for a quiet day at home.. I did catch a little bit of each game and was happy that Baker did so well !

gaga – i am ready for some quiet – love having all of the family together especially because it means the world to my MIL who means the world to me ♥ but my bil & youngest nephew are SO LOUD – i kept joking with my mom that she can just turn off her hearing aids
i’ll bet she is exhausted today! all that bustle going on around her is overly stimulating for sure – i can tell she’s trying to process & keep up with conversations happening around her, but her brain just won’t go fast enough ♥

moms.. Did you name your sloth yet ? Will you and your guys be tuning in the OSU vs Georgia game ? We are very much underdogs but doesn’t matter. There is always a chance ! Himself is settling into his mom’s apartment and she says he is doing well and getting used to it ! Trying to shop him some luggage for an upcoming trip to UK for biology class to Darwin’s Lab… He has never traveled abroad before as it was cancelled due to Covid.. He is really looking forward to the experience…His dad’s 1st anniversary is tomorrow so my sister is taking the day off to spend with him..
dee.. don’t mind slow as long as I am inside looking out.. We are expected to get out of this deep freeze soon ! Will be so happy for a reprieve from bitter cold.
First appointment of the day with dentist .. heading out shortly. He will be celebrating his 81st birthday in a few days… am thinking it is time to find a new dentist.. but was one of his first patients so it is a little bittersweet..

Momskinz, nope not out of town, the girls have an apartment about 20 minutes from us and they both work really close to our house. OD usually spends a few hours with us on Sunday while DIL is at work. DIL is busy taking classes to be a machine technician besides working so we mostly only see her in passing when she is picking up OD after work.

Good morning! Happy Tuesday! Or is it Monday? Or Wednesday? I have no idea. LOL
Surgery is all over with (thankfully!) with several problems along the way, but we ended up in the same place by the end of the day … back at home and recovering. Sounds like she got all of the cancer, and nothing in the lymph system, so I am grateful for that! Now just sleeping a lot and taking it easy with my family all around to help. I’m definitely going to take my health more seriously this-coming year (really the only thing on my list of resolutions for 2023) and get this behind me.
Thanks to everyone who has been helping with Webkinz collections. Believe it or not, I didn’t miss a day, so I got everything from Mrs. Birdy that I wanted. 🙂 Might be kind of sad that my main priority of the day of surgery was making sure that I finished my WW dailies. LOL.
I love reading about all of the holiday celebrations going on here on the blog! Oh, and thank you Secret Santa for the gifts! They were certainly a welcome surprise, and I loved trying to find places for all of the new items.

I’m glad you’re well, Miracle. I have 8 teeth removed in late May & it was painful. (I had my 4 wisdom teeth & then some regular teeth so I could finally get braces)

I am happy that the dress was free and not sold on discount. I wish they did more free stuff for deluxe wednesday.
I like a lot of the winterfest stuff but hate the duplicates from earlier years. I didn’t care the jacket or tree the first time around.

We are having a heat wave!! 54 degrees today! It seriously feels like shorts weather. All Stella wants to do is go out and play in the slush. 🙂
gaga—I was happy Baker did so well too. Watching what was happening in Buffalo was so sad. It’s unbelievable how much snow and cold they got. Oh yes, Dh has all the bowl games planned out. We watch them all while cooking dinner, eating etc. The Kansas/Arkansas game was wild. Triple OT. I always feel so bad for the kids that lose. The only team I’m really rooting for is Mich. We will see how they do against TCU. I did get the new sloth. I love the PSI, so pretty. I think I’m going to name him Sloe Gin Fizz. I don’t know why, it makes me smile. I don’t drink them, just like the name.
Alex—Yes, Stella is a white pittie with black spots. 🙂 Sorry about having to have all those teeth pulled, that had to be really painful.
Miracle—I didn’t realize your surgery was so soon. Happy to hear everything went well in the end. Keeping you and Chant in my prayers. I do not think it’s sad at all. 🙂 WW and this place has gotten me through some dark times. It’s a wonderful game to keep your mind off of things and give you happiness and something to look forward to each day.
moms—Same. No new prizes for winterfest cookies…and the grand prize is a food truck with old food prizes. Plus the jacket and skis are on wheels like LL said. Sad.
dee—I know I have that dress from PAN. But I don’t remember the name of it, I will look for it and send you one.

working on a passel of appetizers
i love appetizers…………you get to sample different stuff
so far, we are having bite size (mini yukon gold) twice baked potatoes
spicy meatballs, jalapeno poppers, tortilla blossoms and veggie plate
and yes, just us two, but then i do not have to cook new years day!
been soaking navy beans for soup for tomorrow………….add some chopped ham, carrots, celery, onions…………
