   Good Morning All !

   December 1st has arrived and brought new challenges..candy cane collections and Santa Kinz !
   Polarberry Jam is not my favorite game but at least with some time it is doable !
   Really miss Webkinz Picture Guide too ! Hopefully they can figure out the problem and fix it !

   April… so happy that you were able to open crackers and find a gift you were in need of getting ! Stella’s reaction to your excitement made me laugh !
   All news here turns toward the much anticipated return of DW… I was really shocked to hear that he has not played for over 700 games ! I have to believe that it will take some time to get reacclimated to a new team and actually throwing the ball again… We’ll see. State high school championships are this weekend and local team where my brothers graduated from will play tomorrow night !

   moms.. I can’t believe you are all decorated for Christmas ! I know it was so much work and effort … and now you can enjoy your home ! You probably still have a mile long to do list ( LOL ) ! It is great soup weather !

   dee.. I hope your weather settles down ! We had a significant drop in temperature yesterday and was so windy ! Today should be better.
   Any suggestions for the Sugar Cookie Mouse ?

   Sheba.. thanks for the update on Webkinz Picture Guide… Hope they fix it soon .. I really miss referencing the site… especially with all the new boxes and stockings and crackers.

    I felt summoned to visit Gymbos.

    On the Webkinz Guide- the database that hosts the site crashed due to a bad disk, and our site host, Miraheze, has spent the last two weeks trying to fix it. There’s nothing we can do but wait for them to hopefully fix it. If the disk isn’t recoverable, we’ll have lost about ~6 months of data since that’s the last time our site was backed up. In the meantime you can use the old site (webkinzpictureguide.shoutwiki.com) but it won’t have any of the newer stuff unfortunately.

    December is looking action packed in Webkinz World!

    gaga-Yes still here. Have this placed booked to leave on the 11th, then we will spend a day and a half in college town. Taking dd and her roommate to dinner as they will probably be two of the only people left there. We fly out early, so easier if we drive in and stay at a hotel there.

    moms-I forgot, we fly through your neck of the woods. I have never been to Georgia, even the airport, so first time. DD has Atlanta and Dallas airports down to a science at this point.

    I haven’t even though of a name for my cookie sheep I got in July (I think). The mouse is cute though. The reindeer was my favorite, but I did not buy points either time to get it. I only buy those when they are on sale to get more for my $$$

    I like the new Holiday Wishes theme, but ugh the boxes.

    And i also miss the Webkinz Guide. it’s where I always went to look up anythinf ww related.

    moms Your mouse name made me laugh ! As long as he doesn’t set up shop here.. I have to say that my family makes sure that I have homemade reminders of my love for those varmints.. ( cute chair pillow.. Night Before Christmas Welcome Mat and a few others ) I haven’t chosen a name yet either..

    Sheba… Have you had the time to decorate your tree ? My favorite decorating c/d is Amy Grants Christmas Albums… but favorite Holiday Song is O Holy Night by Josh Groban ! I am starting to panic as I am giving up my car after it is detailed today and I don’t have a c/d player yet !

    gaga – good luck with the tattoos – i am fascinated by them but not sure i would be happy at *almost* 50 with anything i might have gotten at that age, so thankful not to have any other than my permanent “makeup” – i did have eyeliner & lipliner tattooed years ago – no judgement here though, my guys have friends that love to show me all their new “art”

    boper-Thanks for updating us. Nice of you to pop in, we all miss you, hope things are well in your life.

    gaga-Literally counting down the days, can’t wait to get home. Now I know how dd feels. I have not left the West Coast for this long since I was in college, so forgot what it was like to “miss” home.

    Also can’t wait to put up the tree and decorate. They have at least a dozen or so here where we are staying all decorated with different themes, but not the same as putting up our own. Love Christmas music. Two of my favorites are Jars of Clay- Little Drummer Boy and Faith Hill-Where are you Christmas, but I have a playlist with a mix of all genres of Christmas songs.

    We also have a list of movies we watch as tradition, anyone here do that too? And of course we read the Night Before Christmas.

    qos-There is a book we were gifted years ago you may like for the grandkiddos – The Night BEFORE the night before Christmas. It is a very cute play on the original, we read this on the 23rd every year while dd was growing up. She made us stop when she turned 18 lol

    april-Hopefully we can get some Stella Christmas photos.

    moms-LAX is one of our airports, but we prefer to fly out of the local smaller when we can. Luckily these flights are into our small airport. DD gained a ton of travel experience over these past couple of years. She grew up traveling with us, but so different when you have to make decisions on your own. She is very adept at navigating through the airports and booking alternate plans as soon as there is a delay/cancellation, as this happened almost every time she has flown by herself.

    dee-Have not seen any of those, but I rarely watch tv. Which is your favorite? Maybe I will try to catch an episode.

    WW is busy this month, will try to keep up on my accounts. Excited for the ginger puppy in next as well. Need to think of a name, all of mine are comic book characters on there. Maybe a redhead character for the “ginger”.

    cmpets – it’s great that dd is a good traveler – my older ds has learned how to navigate airports as well – it’s neat to see them go so independent

    we all have Christmas music playlists – mine is probably the most diverse in genres but that tends to be my music listening in general compared to the other 3 here – love that Jars of Clay version of that song (or almost any song) – i also love Peace On Earth/Little Drummer Boy by Bing Crosby & David Bowie

    the guys are into watching a lot of Christmas movies – I prefer the traditional ones, but they like the silly ones – one of our favorite traditions is to watch The Madagascar Penguins in a Christmas Caper

    we always read the night before christmas, too, when they were little but i have not heard of the other one, that’s so sweet

    and i am not claiming those war shows……….i mean they are just awful, sad that are so many clips available for the tv company to make a show

    I’ve had a different kind of a day! I went out of town to meet up with some online book club friends for lunch and then we toured Montpelier (home of James Madison). It was lots of fun! (Well, except for getting lost….yes, even with GPS). As soon as I got home I ate a quick dinner and then went out on a date with my dh to an outdoor Christmas event. It was fun, too. Now we are home….my dh is modeling some new clothes he bought while I was out of town and I am offering my “ooh’s & aah’s”. Fun! I am not going to ask him how much he spent because that takes the fun out of it, imo.

    I like all the Christmas music that has been mentioned. If those were on the radio, I would probably enjoy it. But I get what Dee is saying. So much of it is annoying, especially if there are not good vocals or instrumental accompaniment.

    And as far as Christmas movies I tend to have my traditional favorites….Miracle on 34th Street, It’s a Wonderful Life, Home Alone, etc. Yet, this year I have watched two movies that are not considered “traditional” by me. Last year, someone on here recommended The Christmas Chronicles. (My new “traditional” favorite). And then I watch a new movie (2021) “A Boy Called Christmas”. Just by watching the trailer I didn’t think I would like it, but everyone in the room wanted to watch it and I’m so glad that I did. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Maggie Smith is such a great actress & I found myself being taken to another land. Magical! And Gaga….if you watch it….beware! There is a pet mouse! 😉 LOL!

    Sheba .. Sounds like you had a very nice day yesterday with friends and evening with dh… I have not heard of the movie A Boy Called Christmas… will keep my eye open for it this season… I think I have mentioned before but The Holiday is one of my favorites..

    moms.. My younger sister favorite song is the David Bowie/Bing Crosby version of the Little Drummer Boy as well.. She always cries when she hears it

    dee.. I agree… Love Christmas music but the stations play the same songs over and over and over again ! It can become a bit annoying..

    cmpets.. Happy for you that you with spend Christmas at home… there’s no place like it ! What kind of tree do you normally get ? I am still looking for just the right pencil tree !

    April… Local high school won state champ last night.. Spoke to my brother in Georgia this morning and he is thrilled for the kids ! They usually have a really good team.

    I enjoyed reading through all of the Christmas music/book/movies. I’m going to go check out Amy Grant’s Christmas music. I have all of Michael W. Smith’s Christmas songs … he has such a variety, you never have to get tired of the style because they are all so different. Anyone watched Tim Allen’s latest Santa movie? Christmas Chronicles is my absolute favorite movie. He has completely redefined Santa for me. (Although I have to say I love Fashion Santa as well. That guy cracks me up.) Also planning to look up The Holiday. 🙂
