moms.. happy that your younger son was able to experience college life !
Hopefully he will figure out his future plans and start a new path..one that suits him better. I bet your mom is very happy to have her whole family join her in celebrating Thanksgiving with her. I laugh when I think about our Thanksgiving last year at my mom’s place… She insisted on having her turkey despite it not being ready…raw 1 won’t be having turkey this year !

moms.. our local news had reported last night that the league was discussing options should Buffalo get as much snow as being predicted.. concerned for fan safety as well.. we’ll see what happens as the weekend unfolds.
Worried for nothing at Derm appointment.. had lesion removed from my lip…

Ticketmaster cancelled the general ticket sale tomorrow, that is going to be heartbreak for so many people. They really need to do something about all of the people who bought tickets and are trying to charge a fortune. Just relieved we were able to get 2 for dd and her friend.

moms-I now want coconut cake. And I am happy that your relationship with ds is strong enough that he could tell you how he was feeling and come home. Not everyone has that unfortunately. And they will all figure their path out. We have a close friend who only has an 8th grade education, runs his own construction company and has a yacht ans a private jet. Not that money equates success, but clearly he is doing well not taking the “traditional” path.

Can’t imagine that much snow in one storm… would never get used to it but they say most people in that area don’t mind so much.. I am also hearing that the Buffalo fans are not happy about the game being moved to Detroit.

There is so much chatter on the news about ticket sales and how poorly it has been handled… My niece is a total Harry Stiles fan and she few to LA last weekend to see him… Has been a fanatic since One Direction ! gaga—That’s so cool your ER group is close and does those get together lunches. They sound really fun. I’ve been missing the pop quiz by one questions for days….so frustrating. Hopefully the bills/browns game will still be fun to watch even though they moved it. I’m in charge of the stuffing, sweet potato cass., and apple crisp this year. Dh is in charge of the turkey and elk. Bro-in-law is a big hunter and got some elk. Should be interesting. Glad to hear your derm appt. was nothing to be worried about. I noticed Webkinz Guide is down too, hope they can figure out how to get it up running again. Weather is cold here, high of 28 today. Down in the teens at night. Stella is not a fan. lol I opened a couple of my crackers too. I also was lucky and got that smaller green bow. I also got 2 of the grey bows with snowmen on them and they are the normal big size. I would be happy to send you my extra, it’s got your name on it! 🙂
moms—I was saying the same thing when she started putting sprinkles on that eggnog cake! Noooooo. Dh was laughing. The second episode was a little better, starting to see some bakers shine, but I think last year was much better. It sounds like you have a really close and wonderful relationship with your ds’s. As cmpets said, not everyone has that. I’m in the same camp with gaga, college right out of high school isn’t the path for everyone. Hopefully your ds will find his own path. My brother never graduated college, dropped out, took some time to figure things out and now he’s a very successful business owner and loves what he does. I’ve never tried 7 minute frosting. Coconut cake sounds so good. I hope you have a wonderful time with your family this weekend. So cute your mom is so excited to have everyone over. Bummed they ended up having to move the buffalo/browns game to Detroit too because of the weather. Would have been a blast to see them try and play in all that snow. But, I understand they didn’t want to divert emergency resources to a football game when some folks out there will most likely need help. The Lions org. put this out on social media to the Bills…’important numbers by the phone, lock up when you leave, please don’t break any tables.’ LOL Thought that was really cute.
dee—Glad to hear you were able to get your tire fixed. Probably a big relief. So cool you can see meteors. It’s usually too cloudy here to see anything. And if it is clear, then it’s bitter cold. Ooooh, live cam of buffalo!! Now I’m going to be obsessed too. lol

pecan pie biscotti in the oven
i have never had pecan pie
i have in the past made these lovely pecan pie thingys in the mini muffin tin
and those are good!
the dough is cream cheese, butter and flour
then ya add brown sugar, pecans and something else.
have not made them in years. dh would live off of them
i think they are a pain as you have to use your thumb to squish down the “crust” part to make a pie cavity and my thumb gets sore!

Sweet potato casserole sounds delicious ! I am not sure about the elk.
I spoke to my sweet brother about our menu . We decided on beef tenderloin and mashed potatoes green bean casserole and ( drum roll )I ordered my cake !
We did not celebrate last year but will be having cake this year and toasting mom who will up there waiting for raw turkey ! ( LOL )

moms..just tuning in the news and it reports that Buffalo has gotten two feet of snow already… ” Lake Erie Snow Machine” can really turn on the snow machine. Thankfully I do not live in the snow belt but do live fairly close to the Lake.
