   Anxiously awaiting some Halloween picks of Stella.. Hope you have some nice weather for the photo shoot ! We are expecting a cold front this weekend but have had a couple of beautiful days. Big Sports weekend here this weekend..
   Guardians playing today…

   moms… Had lunch in the cafeteria with “the girls” from work yesterday.. Stopped up to see the doctor as well… So nice to say hey and catch up for a few minutes with him. Lots of changes in the department and seems like morale pretty low right now… all have said I retired at the right time..

   dee… How is your task of making the apple butter coming ? Do you toast pumpkin seeds ? I usually buy some ready to eat… don’t do any pumpkin carving here..

   Sheba… Sounds like you had a very nice day time with your granddaughter yesterday ! I don’t think it would be worth getting involved in Grey’s Anatomy at this point… feel like it may be coming to the end of the road but it has always been a great show ! Lots of regulars have left the show and bringing in all new cast of characters.

   cmpets… Hope all is going well for you down in FLA.. One of my friends is heading back down for the winter and thankfully their home was not damaged and lost no power ! Will miss her but they do not want to put up with CLE winters !

   gwenda and CWC … hope all is well with you too !

   No car news. Will give them a call early next week for an update.

   happy friday
   never did apple butter before, so no clue what to expect….just from work so far, i see why it is pricey to buy!
   will have a better idea in a few hours….splurged and bought some english muffins on my kroger run….

   oh yeah………..we are going camping/fishing monday and tues….be back tues afternoon
   yes camping………in a tent………in da woods…….cooking over a fire etc
   IKR!!!! sounds like perfect dee set up to me too

    Hello Everyone

    gaga-It’s interesting down here. Very different from the West Coast, which is what I expected. I can see why folks who have real winters come here, and we know quite a few people who have moved here permanently in recent years. Happy to hear your friend’s place is okay, our friends finally got power a few days ago, but still waiting on internet.

    And I am now on the hunt for cosmic apples, have never heard of them, but honeycrisp are my favorite.

    Went to Walmart for a few things this morning and the shelves are still pretty bare. Shipments were delayed due to the hurricane a lot of places around here. It reminded me of the height of the pandemic, and again when we had all of the cargo ships stuck off of the coast.

    Driving up to Tampa tomorrow to see what that area is like. Also going to the mall to pick up some stuff for dd. The mall where she goes to school is not great, and she always needs stuff for events. Her birthday is next month, and hoping walking around will give me some ideas.

    Need to start Christmas shopping as well. Going to be a light holiday this year since we are traveling around and trying to keep things minimal. Lots of gift cards I guess???

    dee-I am not a big fan of apple butter, weird texture for me, but I would taste homemade if I had the opportunity.

    i have stocking stuffers for dh and dd and the cats are done
    these people are goobers about lists………….as in handing them over
    mine is on the fridge. Altho, a christmas list around here is like asking for something on gymbos
    you get it! so i have to be selective…………i asked for a mailbox cover and a new weather station………….i am horrid to shop for………..i do not want/need a lot

    thankfully we are all adults and have no problem returning things if we don’t want/like/need it

    April.. Thank you for the cocoa ! It is really cute ! Hope Stella is up for her photo shoot today ! Can you watch the Lions despite them playing in London ?
    Was able to watch the Saints play ? last weekend from London…

    dee… I hope you and dh have fun camping ! Hope your weather is not too cold or rainy ! It should be interesting to hear what kind of nature you encountered on your trip ! Do you have a bear horn ??

    Topazz .. thanks for the cocoa !! I have looked a couple of places for the silver sneakers but so far no luck… did find some silver boots ! Have some more places to look so will let you know.

    cmpets… Safe travels as you head to Tampa… I hope you are able to find some things at the mall for your dd !

    moms… How about some pictures of your Humphrey and your kitties…Are they dressing up for Halloween ? Your dss doing OK ? Himself is coming home next weekend for ” fall break “… I am heading down on Thursday to pick him up… ( think I mentioned previously ) but looking forward to seeing him and catching up with college life… He is taking his driver’s test on Saturday … so hope that goes well !!

    gaga—No problem, happy to send! They are super cute. Woke up to some very light frost this morning. Coldest night we’ve had so far. The sun is out and it’s already warming up, but Stella went right back to bed after I let her out this morning. lol I think the Lions are playing in New England tomorrow, don’t think they are headed to London this year. I have to watch them on nfl game day. You don’t get the whole game, but they give almost real time highlights of every game. I do get a few games here to watch because they are in the same division with the Packers and Bears.

    cmpets—Hope Tampa is in better shape for you. Glad you and your family and friends doing well.

    Topazz—Sent some silver sneakers. Thanks for the extra goodies last time. No need to send anything in return.

    The same thing has happened to me many times. Before I became Deluxe I didn’t really pay attention to collections or keeping up with the clothing. How many of you wish that they would award clothing from the earlier days? I sure do, because I was always so low on KC at that time.

    What’s cooking today ? I made some meatloaf.. pizza squares and some chocolate mousse… Should last me a few days ! My sister requested the pizza squares so will be meeting her halfway to deliver some goodies to her.

    April… I guess I was mixed up about the Lions game being in England… Not sure what the heck I was thinking but that happens sometimes !
    Sunny here today but very chilly ! My brother was to have signed the final papers yesterday for the sale of my mom’s condo… End of an era…

    gaga – i’ll see what pics i have, i don’t have a new costume for humphrey this year – the cats have theirs that were too big for them last year, but i’m sure they won’t cooperate . . . i mean, they are cats afterall

    i haven’t gotten any halloween decorations out of storage – i’m going to do some organizing this week & hopefully at least put out my pumpkin topiary
