   Good Morning All !

   moms.. Hopefully you were able to give Otis his medication with injuring yourself ! The idea about wrapping him in a towel seems very helpful… but sounds like you had done that ! Last night on Heartland vets … they suggested putting the medication on ” Troubles’ paw and having him lick it off… Even the vet tech and vet had difficulty with this really mean cat ! Wondering how much medication you need to give him with each dose… ( the cat was being treated with mineral oil for constipation ! ) I think I have mentioned the show before but on Nat Geo Wild… Husband and wife vets in Nebraska. They are such a cute couple and show is always very interesting.

   dee… Sounds like you were able to offer moms some great tips.. I think dogs are easier to medicate… but never had to medicate a cat before. Thanks for the info on the Where’s Wacky Trophy ! I will probably play anyway !
   Still looking for that clock you had mention in the NEXT Curio Shop !
   That young girl on AGT has an amazing voice.. hope she does well ! Seems like the show has so much really good talent this season…

   April… How exciting that your grandfather in law played for the Browns ! Did he play during the Kardiac Kids era ? Some of my all time favorite players were on the team during those seasons ! One of my all time favorites is Clay Mathews… wanted him so much to be inducted into the Hall of Fame… I followed his son when he played for Green Bay…
   I think it was cmpets who advised that once the baby had reached maturity but not grown.. they couldn’t be sent to day care… but I think I will have enough points in the end….I also have one kid who is ready to grow but holding off because a kid is sometimes needed for the challenge.

   New Halloween bats available today at the e store…9000 points.
   Anxious for fall clothing bags but mostly for the bows.. ( if they even have one ! )
   Have 500 points for the Academy bus so will keep going to school !

   Sheba.. How are you holding up ? Ready for your family ? Hope you have some time to relax before they arrive !

   doing the orzo enchilada stuff in crockpot with tacos (for dh)
   he does not consider the enchilada stuff a meal as it has no meat in it

   Hi, everyone!

   Gaga -The uninvited one seems to have left as we can find no trace! Is that possible? Thanks to my son & d-i-l, I am able to relax a bit before company because they hired someone to come and clean our house. But the work I did before they came was exhausting! Today I will try to come up with a meal plan and tomorrow I will grocery shop. My parents are hoping to arrive for dinner tomorrow.

   My teen step-granddaughter has covid right now, so they will come the following weekend. My daughter is disappointed as our big gathering is this weekend. But we are hopeful that she & her hubby stay well and that they can come at least for that time!

   Moms – sorry about your sick kitty!

   Dee – thanks for sharing the link for lady with the amazing voice!

   I am not doing very well with keeping up with my Webbies….but they will understand! 😉

   i like it as it is like rice……..for some reason i can not do white rice anymore
   just brown rice and wild rice…….

   that orzo recipe always sounds so good – what’s the difference between risotto & orzo???

   my oldest has covid, too, qos – he is congested but thankfully no serious symptoms – he will be out of quarantine with a mask as soon as he starts feeling a little better – at least they have shortened the time period significantly

   it’s kind of weird as a lot of his classmates were sick early last week but all tested negative, he got sick a few days later & tested positive . . . all signs point to him having a sinus infection as well, so the doctor started him on an antibiotic today

   i hope your granddaughter is all better quickly & hasn’t spread it

   gaga – no further injuries with delivering the meds & his tummy seems to be better – he’s acting normal, so that’s good – probably just stress from the move & kiddo leaving for college & changes in routines

    was the kitty puking or pooping or both?

    the kitten had an incident and took her to vet…….told them she ate part of one my socks……….which i now must hide……….they said
    cats do not eat socks………….so i brought it in!

    still love the vet and kitten is fine

    yes risotto is rice……….orzo is very small fine pasta that resembles rice
    fab in soups or casseroles etc
    i have never had risotto

    moms… Your last comment made me chuckle.. feel bad your kitty is sick..
    Hope you were able to get the medication into him…. Sounds like he is a challenge. Hope you son is feeling better… and antibiotics are helping..
    Parents weekend is this weekend at OSU.. My sister opted to spend the last weekend with himself… It was a day game and she had a great weekend and so did himself… He is scheming again to get his license while on fall break.
    I guess I will be heading down to pick him up and will give us a chance to chat… which seems like forever since he called… but I know he is juggling a lot of things right now with his jobs and classes…. also trying to figure out where to apply for his post graduate studies…

    Sheba..How nice of your ds and dil to arrange some help in cleaning your house in anticipation of your family gathering ! I know there is always much to do to get ready… meal planning and shopping is a big chore in itself…
    Hope that your daughter and her husband are able to stay healthy can celebrate with the rest of the family…Don’t think Covid will ever go away !
    Hospitals here have finally lifted the visitation restrictions ! Patients can get the support so important when hospitalized… Masks are the only restriction right now. Stopped in to the hospital yesterday for lunch …always fun to sit and chat for short time !

    April.. Clothing bags available today ! Anxious to see what’s in them…I was finally able to finish the running class in NEXT… thankfully the strength class not scheduled today… so I did pretty well in school today !

    will himself do post grad in state???

    dee – the vet (& i agree) really thinks it’s stress & not any illness – he’s a tabby & evidently they are prone to acting out if you change anything or do something they don’t like – no doubt they are getting used to humphrey (we have had him a year), but they still don’t like him very much either, so it’s been a bunch of agitators for his tabby-ness. my sister’s tabby is on anxiety meds, it’s just their nature apparently

    i think they all have attitudes/idiosnycracies……..just like people!
    we came home to four cat toys all lined up in a row about one inch apart
    weird. i took a pic and sent it to dd…..
    dh says the big kitten was trying to spell HELP after being stuck inside with the kitten
    too funny!

    When we moved one of our cats refused to go outside again. She just stayed inside and ate and gained too much weight. We had to take her for walks outside on a leash to get her to exercise. Fun! Fun! The stares that we got! Ha ha!

    Our other cat was more of an outdoor cat. She is the one that I lost on Thanksgiving Day 2020. She outlived her sister (above) by 3 or 4 years, I believe.

    Just finished making my grocery list. Now the race to get all before my parents arrive this evening! I am planning to make the Chicken Spinach Casserole that Puma Pardas gave to us with some of Momskinz adaptations.
    One night beef tips in instantpot or crockpot. One night pizza. One night we will eat at my son & d-i-l’s home. And then the meals are mystery dinners (unplanned for now). Just the bit that I mentioned with lunch & breakfast, too, is a lot for me. Off to the store! Later!

    Farmers Day today !
    25% off Deluxe Membership today

    Bought some clothing bags… Looking for the bow.. have a few more to open to hopefully will get it ! Usually don’t open bags all at once…

    moms.. Himself is checking out schools which offer his program… Apparently OSU does not… really too bad because I think he would like to stay there.
    Hearing that he is applying to CWRU which is where his first choice of undergrad was… U of Chicago… applied there as well for undergrad.. very difficult to get into…and there are a few places in California … Getting all my info from my sister so I am very anxious to hear from himself…I am just happy to hear that he is not going to take a gap year ( so far ) I think he should keep going… but I’m just the aunt !!
    Hope Otis is feeling better today !

    dee… today predicted to be beautiful… I like the Fall as well but hate the season that follows.. always sooo long…but that is one of the few drawbacks to living in CLE… It has been so annoying to see all of the commercials for Toyota RAV 4… They can’t seem to fill the orders for the customers they have
    I plan on checking in with them again soon … just to see if there is any progress…

    Sheba.. Sounds like you have all of your meal planning organized ! I hope you enjoyed dinner with your parents last night… Enjoy your family’s visit.. I am sure they will all pitch in to help … but so much work for the hostess !

    Last of the independent hospital in CLE which happens to by run by the nuns announced yesterday that it is closing its doors…It is very upsetting as they have been servicing the poor since 1865 ! Six hundred employees are losing their jobs ! I realize that they probably will not have trouble finding other jobs but I am sure they have many long time employees who have are devastated.

    gaga—I had to look up the Kardiac Kids era…very cool. No he did not play then. He started with the Buffalo Bills (when they were the Buffalo Bisons) in 1946, then traded to the Browns in 1948. He played on that Browns Championship ’48 team. Then he retired as a player and went into coaching, college and CFL. Our nephew loved Clay Matthews (the son) from GB. All he wanted for Christmas and birthdays was Clay Matthews jerseys and GB stuff. But I didn’t know his dad played for the Browns. Oh, that’s right, I didn’t realize your baby had filled the growth meter, but wasn’t ‘grown up’ yet. So far, I was able to get a few of the items I wanted out of the clothing bags… the eyeball dress and nightmare face paint. If I get a bow I will let you know. It seemed like there were fewer items in the bags, then I noticed it looks like there will be a different second fall clothing bag this year. Have fun getting himself all to yourself on the drive to pick him up!

    moms—hope Otis is feeling better and you can find a way to get him the meds without too much trouble. We always had to wrap our cats in a towel too. Hope your ds is feeling better too.

    dee—That’s too funny about the cat toys lined up. lol

    sheba—That’s awesome your family chipped in to help. I’m sure you will enjoy getting to spend time with everyone.

    Everyone has so much going on it is hard to keep up.

    I broke down and got the halloween bats. It will be fun to do the daily activities.

    I like the fall buddies but I am worried it will be tough to get all three.

    It has been nice and cool here after 110 degree heat last week. Windows open and pleasent breeze.
