Good Morning All !
Can’t believe it is September 1st !
Lots of new things coming in WW for Fall ! I have always liked the floating leaves and usually have some new prizes along with some new challenges !
dee. I am sure you are so happy that your jury duty is finished and you can plan some fishing trips ! Good luck with your dental appointment. Hope it all goes smoothly and you are up to your Kroger trip….
moms I hope you enjoyed your outing with your mil yesterday ! Is your new home closer to where she lives ? Would make things a bit more convenient for you and her as well. Thanks for bringing all the September info forward as it is helpful to use as a reminder. My sister and I hope to shop at one of the outlet malls on our way back from Columbus on Sunday.. We each have our favorite couple of stores and then we are ready to head home !
I really don’t here much from himself since he returned to OSU two weeks ago. I know he is getting settled into his classes and new jobs but hopefully once he gets into a routine.. he will remember that his gaga loves hearing from him !
Took my car in for oil and tire check in anticipation of our trip and since I did not have an appointment I needed to leave it for the day and they would get to it when they could… gives me a good reason to get some chores done ! or not.
April… hoping all is well with you and things are falling into place in getting your aunts estate settled ! My mom’s place has not sold yet .. I went out this week and bought a St. Joseph’s statue and buried him in front of one of the hydrangea bushes that my mom loved… stay tuned… I told my financial brother that if the place sells soon .. St. Joseph should get the commission as the present realtor doesn’t seem too sharp.

my dh does our oil changes………every three thousand miles
he is weird……each car as a little book that has all the info, receipts etc
but hey! i am sure it is saving money
he totally enjoyed the peace and quiet…..altho got pretty hungry

Hi all and happy September!
Ready for some cooler weather and hopefully things will slow down.
gaga—Thank you for the well wishes with my aunts estate. We got lucky and got an offer! We closed two weeks ago so I headed over to Michigan for that weekend as I had a wedding to attend there too. And came home with covid. I’m on day 11 and still feels like a sinus infection and need my inhaler several times a day. Not fun, but I’ll get through it. Dh’s family is coming to visit for the holiday weekend. I’m testing negative now so they are all still coming. I told them I was probably going to be a bit of a party p00per. I hope St. Joseph’s statue helps your moms house get an offer! He should def. get some of the commission. lol Hopefully the right buyer will come along. Enjoy your weekend at OSU with himself! I’m sure he will be happy to see you both.
dee—lounging on the cough with stella and the TV has also been my life…it’s not too shabby! 🙂 Glad you are finally done with jury duty.

dee.. happy you got through your dental appointment… you should pamper yourself and hopefully you will feel better today ! I have always gotten my oil changed every three thousand miles but I stopped going to the station after 20 years due to a rude attendant who told me that it wasn’t necessary and gave me a hard time…. Noticed on the sticker when I picked up my car yesterday that I was due back till February ! That’s not gonna happen…I will still go after three thousand miles !
moms… It’s nice that your new home is close to both your mom and your in laws… Are you feeling a bit more settled ? I know you must be excited about the upcoming football season… but not the same … Always more fun to watch the games with other enthusiastic fans.
April… So nice to hear from you and that your aunt’s home has sold ! I am sure that is a big relief.. but so sorry you have Covid !! I hope you can get through the upcoming weekend with houseful of guests ! Nothing worse than not feeling well and having to entertain guests but at least they are family and will understand and pitch in ! Hope you feel better soon !
Early eye appointment this morning ! Due for a new prescription and always find it fun to shop new glasses…
The new Academy Classes in NEXT are quite challenging… It will take forever to get enough points for the bus !

the little kitten likes to lay near a particular sunny windowsill. occasionally a butterfly will land on flowers outside the window or a lizard will get up on outer sill
well this afternoon, she was starting weird! I thought it was maybe a big lizard
a big ol snake!
someone climbed the house up on the outer windowsill. so of course i screamed for my dh and he went out and hoed it to death…………them is handy hoes!
but she is so skittish now and twitchy (as am i!)
farmer started harvesting corn today, so i am sure that is what drove it this way…………..but………………..ick

dee – i got an email from a theater mentioning movies being $3 Saturday – thought about asking dh because we haven’t had a chance to see a couple of movies that we really want to see, but friends asked us to have dinner tomorrow so unpacking during the day then meeting them instead – are you going to see a movie?

We came home to discover that some furry friend related to the one that you have dealt with in the past has been exploring our cabinets! DH set a trap.
I feel like I will need to sanitize the whole kitchen. Not happy!
Dee – you know what kind of snake? Lil’ girl, my dh, and I saw a copperhead (dead) on our walk through our neighborhood over a week ago. Not a fan of snakes, especially the poisonous ones. Before we cut down some trees we had a garter snake family living in our window well for years and they were a lot of fun to watch. WE didn’t mind them. But, I know not everyone feels that way. And now that we don’t have shade in that area, they are no longer there.
We felt that they helped keep the rodent population in check. Anyway, I am wondering where this little thing found it’s way in and make sure it is stopped up.

Sheba… I can totally relate to furry things and I hope you are able to catch it quickly… During my most recent encounter the exterminator was not able to pinpoint where they are coming in…Hope you enjoyed your time away on vacation… Thankfully don’t have snakes around here that I have ever seen !
dee.. Hope you are feeling better today ! Sounds like you are preparing for a nice relaxing weekend ! I would have totally freaked out about the snake too

The Cake-It-Up challenge in NEXT is impossible! I can hardly get to 60 points and struggled when the goal was higher. But 100 pts? No way! I probably won’t make the goals this season. I am already behind with Week 1.
Not sure where the furry critter is hanging out, but I just put all the silverware in the dishwasher and I’m scrubbing down the drawers. Maybe I should do that after we catch it….but I’m so grossed out.
I seriously didn’t need to add this to my “to do” list.
