   Good Morning All !

   Sheba.. Hope you were able to get a good night’s sleep .. Sounded like you need it ! I am struggling with Dogbeard’s game. I also don’t like how time consuming the Fantastic Flower takes to complete but at least each time you play counts !

   dee. don’t have facebook but hopefully some they will post some info on WKN.
   Ducks are really cute ! Saw recently on the news that a duck ” ran ” a marathon. He had specially made foot covers and received a medal when he crossed the finish line ! Hopefully you won’t get called to duty this week but you are half way through the month !

   moms.. Not sure which room theme I will vote for yet. Have to go back and focus on looking at all of them.. I have spent so much time on the phone or on line “chatting” with the phone company… My landline has been down since Monday and so far they have not been able to have the calls transferred to my cell number ! Have been on hold and repeated the same info so many times I can’t see straight… They say they are coming on Monday to fix the problem but so far not impressed with the Customer Service. I asked to speak to a supervisor yesterday and she assured me that she would look into the problem and call me back ! What a joke… but I ‘m not laughing.

   Celebrating himself’s 21st birthday today.. My sweet brother is hosting and his new place has a grill we can use .. Will be nice to get together … but himself has requested NO singing … NO balloons.. What the heck kind of a birthday party is that ? He ordered a new KitchenAid mixer from his mom and I am getting him a couple attachments which he has picked out .
   Looking forward to getting out and visiting with family.

   April.. hope things are wrapping up for your aunt’s estate… Are you looking forward to football season starting up ? Watched a good bit of the Browns last night and all Cleveland fans are interested in the quarterbacks’ decision on his playing for this season…

   Good afternoon!

   I actually had a terrible night and did not sleep well at all! I think that all the things that I need to do are overwhelming me. Did I say this will be my last year teaching? It is too hard to plan all my lessons (hands-on type things) for two different types of classes and watch lil’ girl all in the same week. I’m kinda’ regretting that I didn’t say last year was my last. Teacher meeting coming up. Classes don’t start until September, but usually I’m on a roll by now. SO…all of that said, my head feels terrible. Sigh! Enough about that! I doubt it is even close to all that moms & cmpets are going through with moving.

   As far as the upcoming birthday celebration for himself…..I kinda’ understand how he is feeling (not by experience). He is still in the grieving stage of losing his dad….

   I have always been one that struggles with knowing what type of gift to give to those I love. It is cool that you have something to give him that he will appreciate. I am not much of a shopper (such as shopping year round for Christmas like Dee). I am at the point where I tend to give $ gifts.

   I also do NOT like the time it takes to do the Fantastic Flower event in NEXT. I may not finish this season. Also, I am disappointed that the retro dye is e-store. I feel that between NEXT and Classic I have spent enough for the year.
   There you have it…..Maybe a nap is in order to get a better perspective!

   By the way, is the picnic blanket on player appreciation day the same one that we most likely already have in Classic? It looks like it is different than the player appreciation gift awarded in NEXT.

   We also ordered a new dishwasher last night! Getting a Bosch, although not one of the higher priced ones. We refuse to pay a high price when replacement parts are not being made after five years. Our dishwasher is only about six years old. Anyway, we have never had a Bosch, so I believe it will have a better track record.

   I took a look at refrigerators! WHOA! They are expensive! WE have the one that came with the house, I believe….a Kenmore. Not sure when this house was built, but maybe the late 50’s or early 60’s?? But I wonder how much longer it will last. The appearance has gone downhill, so I am interested in a new one. But hey….looks like we need to start saving our pennies….LOL! We also have an extra fridge that we bought back in the 1980’s (GE) that still works, but doesn’t look so great on the outside. Probably due to scratches in moving and rust. It is in our garage.

    Gaga – Sorry for all you are going through with your landline! We still have ours, too, but we discontinued paying for long distance. I sometimes miss that because sometimes I want to call someone back on the landline because I do NOT want them to have my cell #.

    sheba – funny as i use my cell when i do not want folks to know my landline!
    it is googlable ya know! we have never lived anywhere where long distance was included in bill………and of course we have always lived far far far away from friends and family

    it is nice when power goes out to have aphone still………altho as dd pointed out, who are you going to call since no one else has a landline!

    Hey All..
    dee.. could be a few things… but low back pain and low grade fever my first thought might be UTI ( urinary tract infection ) All thoughts go to Covid as well just because so many people have it.. my brother in law has been down all week with fever and generalized body aches.. tested positive for Covid. He should probably treat the fever/back pain and lots of fluids.. The new regiment for pain control seems to be ONE extra strength Tylenol and ONE Advil… Hopefully over the next couple days he feels better but always if things are not improving call your doctor.

    covid was neg…………..not that that means anything……….i was freaking, i even had dd call him and lecture him………….but we realized we do not have a hot water bottle (if they still make them) nor a heating pad

    i was just worried with teh lower back stuff due to all of my kidney stone problems

    and he is THE dh

    dee.. Himself and I had talked about the attachments.. initially he wanted a meat grinder… a scale attachment and a cheese shredder ?… I opted to give him the money so he could order exactly what he wanted… He announced today that he is no longer going to eat red meat so he decided against the meat grinder… Just as well that I didn’t pick things out…The Kitchen Aid was delivered to my sister’s place today so he is thrilled to be taking it back to OSU tomorrow… He loves to bake so he felt the scale would be something he would use the most…
    We ended up singing anyway.. couldn’t resist… We even sang the verse ” may the Dear Lord bless you ” verse… doesn’t usually go over very well but felt as aunt and his gaga.. it was my privilege !

    Sheba… very sorry to hear that you have not been sleeping well and things are overwhelming right now.. You are a very busy person with RL without all the preparation it takes to get ready for upcoming school year beginning !
    I am sure there are not enough hours in your day to get everything ready much less taking care of your little granddaughter.. No wonder you are struggling right now.. Do the best you can and be sure to take some time each day for yourself… Sounds so easy coming from someone who is retired ( and feeling a bit guilty at times ) Wish I could help you !

    Hello everyone, hope you are doing well. Was logging into all of the accounts to make sure they don’t go poof and thought I’d stop by and say hi. I got my days mixed up for the Anniversary in April and missed it by two hours. I tried out NEXT but other than the cake game which I log in to play every once in awhile it didn’t really appeal. Been playing Conan Exiles with some discord friends the last few months. YD heads off to University in a week and a half. OD got married this summer, they live close by and OD spends Sundays with us while her spouse is at work. Been a mostly quiet summer. YD had graduation parties to go to almost every Saturday. We were going to have a graduation party for her at my MIL’s but MIL caught covid on her Alaska trip at the beginning of the summer. She is feeling better now.

    29 th wedding anniversary today can’t believe it has been that long already.

    Hope your hubby is feeling better soon Dee. I’ve been friends with a couple of school teachers beginning of the year prep is crazy, Hugs Sheba.

    tmt… Sounds like you have had a really busy summer ! Congratulations on your 29th Wedding Anniversary ! That is quite an accomplishment.. I am glad your MIL is better… Covid is certainly still out there…

    dee.. How is your dh doing ? Hope he is improving and it is just a bit of the run of the mill flu ! If you don’t have a heating pad.. a nice long hot shower may help his back… I have been out of the loop for a while but it was always thought that moist heat is better than dry heat.

    moms.. Haven’t heard how you are doing . Are the second round of antibiotics improving your symptoms ? If you get a minute let us know how you are.

    Sheba.. I hope today you will have gotten some much needed rest !
    I am hoping that things fall into place and you are not feeling so overwhelmed although that is easier said than done… Sending you a virtual hug !

    Farmers Day today !
    I attempted to log into my estore account this morning and was told I needed to contact Customer Service as I have not used my account in quite a long time ! So strange because I used it last night but having trouble putting things in my cart… I sent them an email today so hopefully they will fix whatever glitch there is.
    Hoping that the phone tech shows up tomorrow !

    Logged on to get the weird wacky topiary, but have not had much time for ww. I agree with Sheba, I feel like I have spent enough money on it this year, and not even sure I will renew Deluxe. I will see how the next few months go and decide then.

    One week left of packing up this place. Probably about 85% done currently. We are now in the, need to leave this box open to put stuff we are using in phase. And the random small stuff that needs to get packed up, which is my least favorite. And trying to figure out which clothing to take, leave here, and store for later.

    I hope himself enjoyed his 21st birthday celebration! When reading about it, I realized that when dd turns 21, it will be graduation for her and both dh and I turn 50, so thinking a big trip to celebrate all of it at some point that year. especially since we had no HS Graduation and also did nothing to celebrate our 20 year Wedding Anniversary.

    Nice to have a place we all check in on each other. Everyone keep updating us. 🙂

    dee.. thanks for the info on the Kitchen Aid lids.. I have texted himself and am still awaiting a reply… I am sure he will need lots of things to supplement his mixer ! I was floored at the cost of it and am surprised it did not come with a kitchen sink !

    moms.. nice to see you ! I can only image how difficult it is to drop off your ds on campus the first time…I don’t exactly know what to say except that we are all here for you for support and virtual hugs ! I know how close you are to your kids !
    I think himself ordered the pouring bowl for his mixer.. His Dad had apparently shopped the pasta attachment for himself for Christmas…but never had the opportunity to give it to him.. His Dad’s girlfriend had brought it to the recent celebration of life and gave it to him…He showed it to me when I took him back to Columbus and it was kinda sad… Pasta is his favorite food and I know it meant a lot to him.
    How are you feeling otherwise.. are you symptoms better ?

    dee.. I talked to my sister this morning about the lids as himself never answered back.. Sounds like it would be something he would get a lot of use from.. Plan on talking to him about it when he a time to chat.. Thanks for the suggestion.
    How is your dh feel today ?? Hope he has turned the corner and is better !

    cmpets.. sounds like you are very organized.. It will be fun planning a trip together for your dd’s graduation.. your anniversary .. and a milestone birthday for both you and your dh !

    dee- re:24- that made me giggle. Glad your dh was feeling a little better, hopefully more improvement today.

    We are putting leaving most of our stuff in storage here. So packing a bag for the road with the essentials, then the rest in a bigger bag for when we arrive in Florida. That has been the hardest part-packing for storage, the drive, what we want out there, and the stuff we need here for when we are back for a month in December.

    moms- I hear ya on the empty nest thing, it was definitely a transition. Will be nice this year for us to only be 6-8 hours away from dd. Although at this point, I am better adjusted, love when she is home, and soak up our time, but also enjoy when she is at school and focused on herself, and enjoying this part of her journey. Each time she leaves, we both still cry though, I don’t know if that will ever change. We are all here for support like gaga said.

    gaga-hope your phone line gets fixed, so inconvenient. And the story about the pasta attachment is bittersweet. Hopefully himself will get enjoyment out of using all of the new stuff on his mixer.

    Off to organize the garage. Making sure everything will fit in storage, so I have to move ALL of our stuff to one area as a gauge. On the plus side, will be easier for the movers.

    sounds weird, but we think the back pain may have been cause by a new pillow he wanted!
    no clue on fever/appetite………..but he really is a tad bit wussy when he feels unwell………..versus a woman
