Was wondering if anyone has any thoughts on the Competition vegetables in Next… Despite planting a full garden in the dirt patch it has only yielded about 5 vegetables… Should I try and remove them all and replant ? Have not had anything for the Competition Contest for a ribbon…
I was also wondering if you send the baby to Day Care is that equivalent to putting it to sleep in WW ? I most likely won’t want this baby to grow up !

Hello, all! I’ve kinda’ been lazy today by watching some re-runs of Downton Abbey. Trying to do some class prep while watching but not making much progress. But it has been a rainy kind of a day and the blues have been swirling around me so in a way it was a bit of a pick-me-up to watch the show.
Dh has been watching with me and painting in-between times. We are renovating our screened-in porch. Yeah…we probably need a smaller place, but I am sure glad of the space when all the kids come back for the holidays or other visits.
Moms – are you wanting to downsize the house or have less of a yard?
Dee – Soup sounds good, Dee.
Gaga – I really haven’t done much of the competition gardening. The things that I have entered have not won any prizes. When you say that your garden patch has only yielded 5 vegetables, do you mean since we got the patch months ago? That doesn’t seem right to me. I think I would start over if you think it isn’t working.
My biggest frustration with NEXT right now is the game freezing up on me. Otherwise, I think the season challenges are fun. I do the free version of season challenges, so far.

Sheba… So hope your blues are gone ! I know renovations are a lot of planning work and inconvenience … but worth it in the end.. Once completed you can sit back and enjoy your accomplishment… until the next project !
I have decided to remove all of the seeds in the garden and start over. We’ll see if that works… The few vegetables I entered did not win any ribbons.
Going to try for at least one but almost seems impossible.. like many of their arcade games !
moms… Did you see anything interesting yesterday ? I know the housing market is very challenging right now… reading that sellers are getting tens of thousands over asking and inventory for buyers very low… I hope that if you find something you love… things will fall into place and it is meant to be.
dee.. stopped at the library yesterday.. Hadn’t been there in so long that had to redo my card… and the library is under major construction and parking and access was a bit challenging…. Picked out a few books and hope to get back into reading since I now have extra time !

choco-your kitty is super cute. Nice to see you. We all know how rl keeps us busy at times, but love that we can pop back in and catch up on here.
gaga- keep us posted on your Next plot. I placed all of my competition crops in my sheds so that I can see if I get anymore. Once you mentioned it, I was thinking I have not received a new one since they have added the selling feature.
sheba-next freezes up on me a lot as well. usually if I play on my iPad, phone seems to be okay. When my iPad starts getting hot, i have to take a break or it will freeze. It gets my laptop super hot as well, so I have stopped playing on there. I have only had my computer for 6 months, so it needs to last awhile.
moms- we talked about temporarily moving closer to dd next year. At the time she was going to finish next June, but now that she is happier there and will graduate in Dec 2023, so I am not as motivated to move across the country for a year. Would be nice to explore and drive the whole East Coast, since we have only visited a few states out that way. We will see…

dee- I would LOVE to visit Boston. I have a friend who flies in once a month for work from London to Boston, so may have to meet her once to see it. Her daughter is looking at schools there, so will definitely go if she ends up there. Does your daughter like it there?
dd is in Florida, but where she is, it’s still more like the “South” than actual Florida. When we drove her car out last year, stopped in Louisiana and had sweet tea for the first time in my life and now I am hooked. Usually not a sweets kind of girl, but I love that tea. And don’t get me started on how good the food is. I always joke if we lived down there, I would have to walk everywhere as exercise, just so I could enjoy the food.

yep, the housing market is crazy – i can’t list my house because it will sell immediately, and there isn’t anything currently on the market that we want – if it isn’t just what we want, i don’t want to move
we are looking to shorten dh’s commute & less yard maintenance – we love the mature trees & the beauty & privacy of the trees at this house, so I wouldn’t consider changing anything about our yard, but maybe it’s time for a younger family 🙂 we would like a little smaller square footage wise, we have a lot of space the 2 of us don’t need, but it’s going to need the right floorplan & plenty of room for the potential of college kids being home for summers or “bouncing back” if they need or want to at some point & rooms for visits of course 😀

Momz – his nose is very kissable! He’s a very sweet boy, he loves to give hugs and be held like a baby.
Summer classes start tomorrow and I won’t get another break until late July. I get a month off and I’m gonna go back and see my parents for a week. I have recently developed a love for antique malls so I’m excited to visit the ones near my parents house.

As far as cats, I was tempted to foster a friend’s cat for several months during some transitional stuff happening, but the cat is not good with young children. So that is a definite “no” for me since I take care of baby girl in my home at least one day a week.
