   Good Morning All !
   Thanks to all for your love and support ! You guys are the best..? As I told moms yesterday…. I can feel your support all the way to CLE… I honestly don’t know why my mom can’t let go… or why God hasn’t called her yet…Her condition is about the same… Will see what today brings.. My brother who is out of the country was expected home last Saturday has tested positive for Covid and is symptomatic .. He doesn’t know when he will be permitted to leave.
   Taking each day as it comes… and appreciated my ” imaginary friends ” so much

   I had three tea parties yesterday which were quite sweet! Literally!

   The other two classes were fun, too, as I had lots of games lined up and I overheard one little boy say to his classmate that he was going to tell his mom that this was his favorite class. It made my day. (This might be the same little boy that thought I was 28 or so). LOL! I sure have been tired today, though, and feeling my true age.

   Hello all…

   I just wanted to stop in briefly and say THANK YOU to Wophy for the birthstone tiles from my Wish List. It was a nice, unexpected surprise. I removed them from my Wish List a few days ago after opening your package, but I didn’t have the time or energy to leave a message for you then. But, again, THANK YOU!

   A lot of awful things have happened to me over the last several months, so that it why I have not checked in on the blog in while….. I am barely hanging in there. I know you all are a very supportive bunch and that this is a safe place to share, but just thinking about trying to “unpack” all of the trauma I’ve been through lately is exhausting and not worth ruining anyone else’s day over. No one can make it “better” for me and I think unfortunately it’s just the kind of stuff I have to figure out on my own.

   gaga, I remember a lot of the things you’ve been through in your relationship with your mom… Obviously I am not quite up-to-date with exactly what’s happening now, but I would feel horrible if I didn’t say I hope things get better for you in your situation. I am sending good thoughts to you right now…..

   Anyways, thank you again to Wophy and to everyone here for understanding……….

    otterkinz.. so sorry you are struggling with some RL difficulties.. stay strong and stop here when you need support and encouragement.

    Sheba… Your tea party sounded like so much fun… I bet your heart melted with that little’s boy’s comment… and your response made me laugh !

    dee… I always like to read about your meal preps.. Although I don’t cook too much anymore I have tried a couple of your recipes… so keep em coming !

    Good afternoon!

    We had finger sandwiches at the 2nd tea party. The girls bring in the treats, I supply all the rest. My classes are small this year so not as much variety and definitely not in the category of a high tea this time around. We have some that are like that, but this one was not as much work and less formal. Some of the girls really dressed up though! One girl came in a fancy dress that glittered and had dressy shoes that were quite uncomfortable to her. One of the challenges is working around food allergies or restrictions (such as no sugar or no gluten). One girl brought in a delicious gluten free chocolate cake that her mother had made. Another girl brought in a lemon dessert that was pink and topped with strawberries. She called it pink lemonade. (She probably added strawberry juice to the recipe to make it pink). It had a pie crust. Another dessert you put whipped topping on, but for the life of me I can’t remember what the dessert was….I can only remember the topping. LOL! I say it wasn’t as much work….but it always involves a lot of work for me. It would be so much easier if it was at my house and I didn’t have to transport everything. Plus, the place that I meet requires that I cover the carpets, so I take along my own rolled carpet to roll out over the floor. I have three light-weight carpets that I picked up at Cost-co that work very nicely for this purpose.

    Dee – I am not that fancy anymore. I can be, but I’m so comfortable in casual clothes now. I did dress up for the tea, though.

    No rain here. But it is a bit cloudy.

    And…I have to go to the dentist. Sigh. Just a general check-up, but all the same I have other things I’d rather be doing.

    I’ve been contemplating the aquamarine dog since it is my birth month. I’ve never been tempted by it before, but now that I had the brilliant idea of having a room for each gem, it makes me want all the birthstone pups. LOL! But perhaps one is a good enough to start.

    I am also preparing for an overseas trip (along with dh) in April, so as it gets closer to that time I may not be around as much. My youngest dd lives in Spain, so first stop is there. And then to visit my oldest son, his wife & my lil’ baby grandson. Usually we don’t travel during the school year due to my teaching commitments, but this year I have a sub lined-up. Life is crazy. I will probably take a break from Webkinz for much of April. Not sure when Deluxe Day is, but will probably ask my dd to sign in on the Deluxe accounts for me on that day.

    Btw, if I sign in on mobile, do I get the deluxe box and just forego the prize that you click on for the daily activities? I meant to experiment with that this month and forgot. But maybe someone knows here.

    I am not as happy with Girl Scout cookies anymore. There are not many in the box and I’m not really crazy about any of the flavors. But I do purchase them from any student that is selling them. Or neighborhood kiddo! My favorite were called “Thanks-a-lot” and they don’t sell them anymore.

    Moms – I will be back by the 29th. Whew! Probably jet-lagged, but thank you SO much for the reminder about that! I will put the date on my calendar.

    Wow! So much thunder….

    I’m watching baby girl tomorrow and she is moving! I will get my exercise. I wish I hadn’t got rid of my baby stuff.

    dee… did you like the house in the weeds ? ( your description made me chuckle) ! I made something new this morning .. chicken noodle casserole..
    Ready to pop in the oven tonight for dinner.

    moms..Had care conference with Hospice yesterday… Five of us able to participate… Unable to connect with Paris…. Very informative .. all were compassionate and offering to help in any way they can on this journey.
    Does your pup like to walk in the rain ? I know it is not favorite thing to do when I was a dog owner… not to mention bitter cold and snow walks..

    Sheba… How exciting to be going to visit your kids out of the country !
    I hope you and your dh have a wonderful time .. Happy that you will be back for WW anniversary .. as moms said please let us know if we can get anything you may be missing.
    Bought some girl scout cookies from a couple of the girls that asked me…I do like the Tagalongs.. but gave the rest to others.

    I kind of would like to try Adventureful Cookies, the new Girl Scout cookie. But I am not really a huge fan of chocolate or caramel. I am a fan of chocolate cake & certain types of chocolate, but I have it sparingly. Opposite of dh on that one!

    My lil’ baby girl and her parents live in the weeds. But about a year or so ago a fiber optic cable was put in nearby and now they have internet.
