   Good Morning !

   dee.. One of my friends called last night… she had seen a dog up for adoption on TV ( Dalmatian) and thought I should get it…Went to the website to check it out but description not too encouraging… didn’t like other dogs and did not like to cuddle but head pats were ok…………Not for me ! I am not ready yet… winter not the best time for dog walking.

   April… nice to see you ! I have had issues with error server ( chrome ) a few times… after lengthy post.. frustrating for sure… I am with dee.. we need a Stella picture !

   moms… arrived at my mother’s 645 am. yesterday.. she was up and about.
   Looking for her caregiver who gets her wine… told her she would not be coming anymore.. As I suspected she was very angry and chose not to talk to me for the morning.. but she did not call me any names… Planning on having a chat with my brother when he gets home from vacation…I am considering resigning my position as a daughter !

   Amy.. very sorry to hear about your family losses… I can’t imagine..So sorry !

   Appliance man due today ! So happy… Don’t realize how much you need an appliance until you don’t have it !

   & sorry about your mom – maybe it’s a small favor her not speaking – beats the alternative??? you are not meant to be her caregiver – would be nice if you could just be the daughter and not the nurse cratchet sometimes!

   we had lunch with my mom today – kind of pitiful, it was a good lunch, but seeing her age/decline was more difficult today

   Good evening!

   Puma – Thanks for explaining about the bullet journaling. There are parts of it that are very appealing to me. And I love the colored journals! But not sure about the “perfectionist” comment. Alas….I’m doomed. But to be honest, sometimes I have created my own planner pages in a Word Document when I can’t find one with a layout that I like. I’ve never had to use it, because fortunately I always seem to come across one that will do. I have one more question…do you make an index so that you can find your Webkinz lists, or whatever lists you’ve made quickly?

   April – Sorry about the trouble you have been having with posts! I should try Firefox to see if I have the same issue. I use Chrome for most of my stuff, but I use Firefox for a few things that I have saved on it.

   Dee – I’ve been in the mood for Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies. But I’m trying to cut back on sweets. Blah, blah, blah.

   Gaga – I don’t know what to say about your mother. She should be very grateful to you for looking out for her well-being. And the house. I can’t imagine what your niece and nephew are going through. Sigh..

   Moms – I agree that it is hard to see our moms aging. I wonder what my kids are thinking about me. 😉 Maybe it isn’t as noticeable yet (at least I hope not).

   Just got word this morning that my sis has Covid despite all precautions. Sigh!

   It is crazy busy here! I’m still entertaining and while fun, it has been tiring. They still don’t have electric….maybe not until Friday. Our internet has been intermittent. Mostly out.

   We actually got more than 5 inches, and it is unusual for our area.

   Tomorrow is a big day as we celebrate Three Kings Day. Zoom meeting with family for those that can make it. Many of the kiddos work during that time. But we are dealing with time zone differences. Well…off to bed!

   Oh it’s so chilly and delightful out now! Husband and I are sitting in front of a little fireplace-y looking space heater (poor substitute for a fireplace but it is what it is) and wearing warm wintery socks and flannels.

   Dee, you’d be able to stop at one cookie? It’s got oatmeal in it, so they’re healthy enough to eat several, right? XD

   Gaga, have you ever researched a King Charles Cavalier Spaniel dog? They’re mid-small sized, pretty darned cute, and are really adaptable; they can be active dogs if you are active, and they can be snuggle lap/couch potatoes if you are more of an indoor-recreator. They’re clever and eager to please, and have deep, soulful, melting eyes. <3 Maybe something with that mixed in would be a great doggo.

   Platynick, I sent that Arctic Fox Plushy your way! I hope you enjoy!

   Quiet day in WW over here. Kiddo's baby Rainbow Unicorn is just 4 Growth-Moments away from growing up into a Kid (it takes 15 Growth Moments, and from our experience, we get about 1-3 a day)! He'll probably have her as a kid before he gets the plush in the mail. XD

   Do y'all think it's more worthwhile to do pet scores one pet at a time and filling up their heart completely, OR running multiple pets through the care room to get the 20-25 points a lot more quickly, but never filling up a heart?

    Bitter cold here this morning and wind warms remain in effect !

    Sure was quiet here on the blog yesterday !

    dee… nobody can eat just one ! At least that’s what they say about chips !
    I guess my go to favorite is chocolate chip…

    Puma.. I appreciate the info on King Charles Spaniel… I feel when the time is right I will shop the shelter and find a dog that “speaks ” to me…Grew up with Irish Setters… they are so beautiful but my space is pretty small now so will have to see … generally like big dogs…Have had an Old English Sheepdog and a Dalmatian… I am also wondering where the care room is in NEXT..
    I don’t spend a lot of time on that site but rarely able to fill the heart.

    moms… It is very difficult to see moms decline.. but happy you were able to take your mom out to lunch ! Yesterday received a call from afternoon caregiver being unable to get into my mom’s place…My mom had locked the access door from the garage which is NEVER locked…I ran over with a key and mom did not want to see me ! Raised her glass and said sarcastically
    “Cheers” So done with it all !!

    Making a to do list for the day… Trying to stay busy.

    i brought a snowball in for the hell kitten
    funny! she touched it and pulled her paw back and looked at me!
    she has never felt cold before! lucky cat
    bigger kitten is peeved that we made the sky fall and he does not want to go out in it………so glad i filled my bird feeders yesterday. we have lots of customers today………

    we have at least four inches……..hard to judge without sticking a ruler out there
    whole area is a mess as idiots are going out driving to look at snow ( I am quoting from local police twitter……….but they said folks instead of idiots)
    so LOTS of wrecks/closings etc
    it will stick around until it warms up saturday………..gonna be single digits tonite

    so more wrecks, because people are dumb

    Hey, signing in while I can! We mostly don’t have internet! It seems like we don’t have internet in the morning, spotty internet in the late afternoon, and then it seems to work in the evening. Not sure what is up with that. More snow expected tonight, but not much.

    Fortunately we had internet tonight for our Three Kings Day Zoom call. Most of us fixed Puerto Rican food (or what we had on hand). I fixed Puerto Rican Beans & Rice, we had guava paste with cheese/crackers, my son’s m-i-l fixed plantain. It was delicious! We actually ate after the zoom call. (Some of the family had various traditional dishes, such as pasteles, which is something that I had to acquire a taste for, but now I like it a lot.) We sang Christmas carols in Spanish and my husband fixed a shoe box filled with hay. At the end of the time, it had gifts in it. He had set up a display with the three kings and shared stories about the tradition growing up. My daughter told of the Three Kings Day traditions in Spain. Some of you may be familiar with the special cake that has a baby Jesus & a bean placed in the cake. Who ever gets the piece with the baby Jesus wears a special crown for the evening. And whoever gets the piece with a bean has to pay for the cake! This is what is done in Spain according to my daughter. Anyway, it was a fun evening.

    We still have our house guests! And I’m so tired (says the usual night owl). I may be crawling into bed soon, but I’d like to check in on my Webbies and see if they are behaving! 😉 If I can keep my eyes opened.

    Dee, enjoy the snow. Try to stay warm!

    dee… Is it unusual that you get that much snow ? Nice that you are all tucked in and enjoy being inside looking out that the snowfall ! Ours expected overnight and is supposed to continue throughout the day.

    Sheba.. What a nice tradition ! Was not familiar with Three Kings Day. It that the same as Little Christmas ? Enjoy your house guests… I am sure you very much enjoy the additional activity… and can catch up once your household quiets down.

    moms… phone lines burning up here…a late night at that ! If I knew how to do the emojis I would make a cuckoo face ! Kind of funny….. but not really !

    Where the heck is Boper ?? Anybody heard from him ? Chants too… seems like it has been quite a while since they checked in..

    Gaga – I’m not familiar with Little Christmas, but I know that some people in the U.S. call Three Kings Day, “Ephifany”. I didn’t grow up with the celebration, but my husband did. Yeah….it does feel like a John Denver type of a day. The soup sounds delicious!

    I ended up getting sick during the night and baby girl has a fever. Today has been a pajama day for me.

    LL – Thanks for update on Boper. I guess we all need a break from time to time.

    Not sure if I will get to Webkinz or not today. There is so much going on.

    Bitter cold here this morning ..3-4 inches of snow but really not too bad..
    Himself heading back to OSU today but in person job orientation that was scheduled for tomorrow was cancelled…Stopped over to see him last night to give him a hug… Very emotional for me but he is planning on coming home d/t 3 day weekend to continue cleaning out his home.

    Puma.. Just wondering where the play room you speak of is… to raise the heart level.. My heart remains empty.. Happy your little kiddo loved his new
    pet !

    moms.. thankfully made a grocery run yesterday… Hope all is well ..

    Gaga, there’s no real Play Room in next. When you get a baby, you are given a crib and the baby lives in the crib. You can click and interact with the baby (feed, diaper, play, put to sleep, etc), and once or twice a day, your baby will ask for something it needs, and that’s a Growth Moment. 15 Growth Moments and your baby can be aged up to a kid, or you can keep them a baby for a while. The baby’s heart always was empty until it became a kid, and then you can move your kid about like a regular pet and feed it and fill it’s heart up. After a while I presume it’ll grow into a standard pet, but I have to research how that works. 🙂

    when you have a kitten and you have webkinz clothes and the kitten will NOT cooperate
    i did get a witches cape on her……….no way am i gonna try hats or the bridal gown………they be treasures
    gaga – officially we got 7 plus inches…….at my house, i would say five and a pinch
    most snow in past three years combined…….it is the south ya know.
    grilling burgers with cole slaw and roasted sweet/white taters

    watching stuff melt finally…………but cold comes back tomorrow nite
    we have been hanging by the fire………cats and all

    Good Morning All !

    moms.. happy to hear that our ds arrived back safely.. Always a worry until you know he is back on campus… especially in the winter. Himself texted me of his safe return.. My sister got a room for the night and she will get him resettled and get needed supplies before she heads back today… Will just be my mom and Nurse Crachet today… Will do my best but she is still very angry… Thankfully my brother was able to replace me this week except for one shift…
    Taking the week off… and so happy to back off.. Hope that helps her mean behavior.

    dee.. Got a chuckle out of you and moms dressing up your kitties !
    Hope the is gone today… Woke up during the night with lots of rain ! Wasn’t expecting that.. Dinner sounds really good. May grill something today.

    Gaga, coincidentally, what filled our pets’ hearts fastest was caring for a baby! 😀 I haven’t spent that much time with Family Scores/Pet Care Scores on Next until we HAD the baby, but I’ll begin paying more attention and see what helps, Especially now that Rainbow has a heart to keep full.

    Super chilly days here, and we’re enjoying a normal weekend (no family, no holidays, nothing unusual) to get caught up on games, chores, and projects. I’ve been able to plop in front of various Webkinz accounts and bulk up family scores. I restarted violin lessons yesterday- my lessons are on Saturday, and the last 2 weeks were taken up by holidays, so no classes. This Feb begins my 3rd year learning!

    Our new washing machine arrives tomorrow! Which is good, because I’m running out of socks! 😀 I actually love handwashing and hanging clothes on a line outside, but today is 100% chance of rain, so BOO.

    Baked potatoes and salad for dinner tonight! Trying something meat-free because of food prices, but husband won’t touch most seafood so…. potatoes it is!! LOL
