   one is like an inchworm that flashes as it crawls, the other is just a bar of four or five lights in a row……….irregular for stars………no clue what that one is

   Dee, hope your girl is feeling better & that you stay healthy.

   Seems like there is illness everywhere. Now my youngest son is sick. Got tested today. Now the waiting. Also, picked up baby girl at daycare as they were short-staffed. So that was my day. Thought I was going to do my Kroger run today. Actually, I went there to buy diapers, but not for groceries. But had special time with lil’ girl! ♥

   I am hoping to grocery shop tomorrow unless I need to be on call again. Oh…and booster scheduled for Friday. Crazy timing, but we are celebrating Christmas a day late, so I will have Christmas day to do last minute things around the house….I plan to bake a sour cream pound cake.

   We visited my m-i-l last night to celebrate Christmas with her. We took her around her town to see the Christmas lights.

   April – Nice to see a pic of Stella! She looks nice & cozy. Hope you & dh are feeling better soon.

   cmpets – Sorry about the loss of your friend’s husband. Such a hard time of year when things should be joyful. Also, hope your m-i-l is feeling better soon.

   moms.. So happy that you tested neg…. but so sorry that your community has had tragic losses… So difficult but especially this time of year. You can all lean on each other for support and comfort.

   Sheba.. How nice you were able to spend some time with your granddaughter. I hope your son’s test is negative ! Congrats on your 750,000 family points ! Have reached the one million points on one account but in no hurry to do it again !

   dee… good luck deciding on your Christmas menu ! It is really cold here but thankfully got in and out at Honey Baked Ham store… Line is usually so long and hate to stand out too long in to cold… wind chill yesterday was in the teen’s !

   Himself was able to move home last evening…Had windows open for 2 days and said he “deep cleaned ” twice.. He is so happy to see his cat and be able to sleep in his own bed… It was so nice of his neighbors to offer their home for past week… His dad apparently is still pretty sick but continues to refuse medical intervention…

   To do list done… Running to bakery to pick up traditional sticky buns and dessert ! Will be there when they open and should be quick trip. My mom was found to have an ulcer on her toe… antibiotics and daily treatment needed… Only one caregiver I trust to do treatment so looks like will need to visit more often…

   Hope you all stay well and stop in here when you need support from your Gymbos family .♥♥♥

    i did a bunch of chores this morning & am kind of tired, but i feel so much better – just a little congestion & sore throat still, so i’m way better

    Glad you are feeling better, moms! I can see why you are reluctant! I need to pick up some groceries today and not looking forward to it. I’m going to try to be quick about it! I thought of putting in an order and picking it up, but I like to pick out my own produce.

    Just got word that our one son is confirmed positive….so Christmas gathering will look differently this year. 🙁 He has a mild case. My niece also has a mild case. Looks like it is making rounds with young adults…. my dad is getting an infusion today, so hopefully that will help him to feel better soon.

    Gaga – I was impressed with your nephew’s cautiousness in entering his house. Hope his dad recovers soon!

    Platynick – Christmas tree fence is so cute! I’m being tempted, too! 😉

    I can’t believe it is Christmas Eve !
    Making a to do list… seems to be keeping me busy for now… Got a call from my brother yesterday… He invited a cousin who I have not seen in years to Christmas dinner tomorrow ! ( he is not coming )… Should be interesting …

    moms.. Happy to hear that you are feeling better ! I know you have lots to do to get ready for Christmas.. I hope your dh is feeling better and the boys remain asymptomatic…..Asked the caregivers to mask up again when in close proximity to my mom… I arrived early yesterday to find the caregiver had arrived in her pajamas… sitting there arm in a sling.. chatting with my mom !
    I have no problem with sitting down to chat … however… there are things that we have asked them to do and they need to be done… She had arrived to find that my mom had gotten up during the night and heated up a container of lasagna in the over……….but it was in a plastic container which or coarse had melted …
    My mom is not supposed to use the stove or oven for that very reason.
    The time I spent there made me question this woman’s mental stability !
    Hate to be the gestapo but feel the need to keep a closer eye on what is happening .

    Sheba.. sorry to hear that your son tested positive…Hope your Dad is doing better… Seems like so much is happening in everyone’s RL !

    Merry Christmas Eve! So weird that it is finally here. I’m having the same issues as you are, April. Just kind of blah about it all, but happy my kids are back to visit. I need to watch The Christmas Chronicles again with Kurt Russell to get me in the spirit. Best. Santa. Ever. My new favorite Christmas movie.

    I did break down and buy that Plushie Holiday Tree Fence a few days ago. They are adorable! I didn’t have enough to buy a whole fence line of them, but I added them to my Christmas tree collection. Maybe Momz can add the pic for me, but here’s a link:
    

    Congrats again on the retirement, gaga! I hope you get to do all the things you want to do with the extra time! It sounds like you will be very missed there.

    Praying for everyone who is sick this season … we are fighting colds, but not bothering to get tested because symptoms are so mild, and we aren’t going anywhere. Very thankful that this new variant seems so much milder than the first one, and hoping this will be how the virus goes down. So over it all.

    Thanks everyone who has been helping with sending candy canes and snowman items! Looks like they have Webkinz Next for Mac now, so I’d better go try it!

    going with pork loin (grilled), dressing, candied carrots, haricots vert, apple crumble and the nanaimo bars………dd has some vegan roast thing, but will eat everything other than pork loin and stuffing

    Merry Christmas Everyone !

    Thank you to the Secret Santa for the most generous gift ! You must have had a very busy night delivering all of the packages ! ♥♥
    My family celebrates on the Eve… however I must say that was very low key and I was home at 7 pm.. unlike years past where we would hang out and play some games.. No one was much into celebrating… We had a delicious dinner and was able to visit with my nephew and his wife who drove from Connecticut to join the family ! Himself arrived with his mask on and requested to sit at a separate table with my sister ! He has been so strict about all of the restrictions .. almost phobic… but that’s ok… So happy he agreed to join us… All in all a great night !
    Will be fixing dinner at my mom’s.. Strip roast mashed potatoes and fresh green beans with mushrooms… There will just be the three of us… unless my cousin visits and stays for dinner.
    Supposed to be a very mild day… upper fifties/rain
    Top off the day with the Browns playing Green Bay … Team still has quite a few players out d/t Covid Protocols… Hoping for a Christmas Miracle !
    We FaceTimed niece in Seattle and we all felt terrible that she was alone on the Eve… she is awaiting Covid test results but symptoms are mild.. thankfully..
    moms.. really sorry you were not able to spend some time with your mom.
    Hopefully she understands but I know it was difficult for both of you ! ♥

    dee.. I hope your dd is feeling better too .. Sausage stuffing sounds delicious

    gwenda.. Can’t image having the chaos that water main break caused so close to home.. but I am sure you are relieved to have the water restored..

    i have resigned myself to failure on the super wheel. I always seem to get the one prize I had haha. Of all the prizes, the only ones i had were the toy shop and the frosted window home, and of course i recieved the the frosted window home bringing my total amount up to 4 ahah. oh well!! theres always next year!

    super excited about the deluxe preview today!! hope im able to get the pineapple plush from the vacation wheel and the holiday elf plush from the deluxe wheel!! also cant wait to adopt the snow retriever, but no time to do it today with family coming over!!

    dh got 3rd results early this morning – that’s a negative PCR & a negative rapid, so we are supposed to assume he got a false positive the first test – all of the rest of us have tested negative twice . . .

    too late to change plans completely, but we did decide to see his parents & my mom later today for a small visit

    Happy Christmas everyone! And thank you, Secret Santakinz! What a fun surprise this morning! <3 I loved reading abut everyone's Christmas Eve and Day traditions and plans.

    We had a pretty good Christmas- 60-something degrees here in GA! We opened presents, ate pancakes, did yard work (my mom and I LOVE doing yard work together), and then we cooked an incredible dinner- roasted cornish hens with herbed butter, mashed potatoes with sour cream, stuffing, roasted vegetables, and from-scratch chicken gravy! And pumpkin pie!

    We had a good (and healthy) visit in MI. We enjoyed seeing my mom, but the actual reason we went up was to see my dad. (My parents are divorced long ago, and both remarried long ago.) In September, my dad and beloved stepmom contracted severe covid- they didn't partake in any methods proven to prevent it, if you know what I mean. They spent the entire month of October in the hospital, and my stepmother needed to be intubated. She ultimately succumbed to the disease near the end of October, and we're all still reeling from the loss. My dad is physically wrecked- this disease is atrocious. He might never be able to come off supplemental oxygen, his lungs are so severely scarred and damaged. Everything is very up-in-the-air with him right now, literally and figuratively. It was such a relief to be able to spend several days with him helping him, tidying the house, cooking for him, helping him sort my stepmother's special items. Its a really big mess and was an exhausting visit, but I was extremely grateful to be able to finally help take care of him.

    It does make for a strange Christmas this year without her, though.

    Gaga, I just read about your retirement send-off party at your job! What a happy day for you! And do nice of your coworkers to throw you a shindig!

    Had a quiet Christmas. Hubby and I spent Christmas eve with MIL and the girls. Christmas day we stayed home, played board games and watched a movie. OD moved into an apartment with her fiance last week. YD has been accepted to three universities waiting to see if she got into the fourth to decide where she is going. Several of her friends were also accepted into State where her sister, and hubby and I all went.
