   Wow, Quite a lot of neat events we are having in Webkinz. I am really looking forward to all of them and getting the snow puppy especially. Though I do wish they would offer a new pet as we have had the puppy 3 times in a row.

   Good Morning !
   Arrived at my mom’s with her groceries and lunch to find the ambulance in her driveway ! She apparently had fallen and couldn’t get up ! She had pushed her medi alert button and was able to talk to dispatch…They had already gotten her up and walked her to her chair.. She had refused transport and paramedics were ready to leave… She seemed ok except she had hit her head on the tile floor when she fell. I was comfortable with her not going to the hospital….She seemed otherwise uninjured and much safer at home.

   Miracle.. The Amish community closest to my home is in Ohio about 2 1/2 hours away… Have been going to Berlin for over 20 years and have found that gradually shops have become more and more blingy… being taken over by non Amish vendors….There are about 4-5 shops who have remain unchanged and that is why we keep going back … not to mention a very good home cooked lunch ! There is I hear a large community of Amish in Lancaster PA but have not been there… Hope to get there but I think it may be an 8 hour drive from here and would most likely be an overnight or two..
   Maybe with upcoming retirement will find time to venture out of the state !

   Sheba… I really don’t know where my sister comes from ! Here political beliefs are so far from mine and pretty much the rest of my siblings that it really baffles me ! She is forever poking the bear ( me) but my reply is always
   “we’re not going there”…. or ” don’t start ” ! Thankfully she is on board with being vaccinated… and boosted.

   moms… I love my porch gnome.. Its hat has sprig of evergreen and it is painted a nice muted red ! I guess gnomes are my outdoor theme this year..
   welcome mat and garden flag as well !

   ll.. happy you are hanging in there with the challenge… The tree is really cute
   I have tried to block off a half an hour to do Ice Capades and just play it over and over getting only one or two kc per game…

   Dragonkinz.. I agree with you and moms… Wish there was a new pet instead of the snowy retriever… How difficult would that be for Ganz !

    Miracle, Kiddo and I have a few of the PSF items you need! However, we need to purchase a pet to reactivate our account (it’s just a free account now, and we can’t send items). I tried to purchase us each a pet, and the eStore is refusing every card we own. They must be having a hiccup on their end. As soon as it’s resolved and we can send things again, you’ll have some collectibles coming your way!

    I’m a little underwhelmed with the SantaKinz gifts this year? I guess I’ll go for the music box.

    Kiddo got his first loose tooth a couple of weeks ago, and was stoked!! It’s still a little stiff in there, but this morning we realized that his permanent teeth are growing in behind the baby ones! O.O I guess “shark teeth” are a pretty common thing in littles, and as long as his teeth are loose, he just needs to keep wiggling them and they should come out just fine, and his permanent teeth shouldn’t cause any issues. Hooray? XD

    Gaga, how scary about your mom! I’ll bet you’re all very relieved about her Life Alert system doing it’s job perfectly!!

    We’re going to visit my mom around Christmas, and she lives very close to Shipshewana, a very large Amish community in Indiana. She’s newly retired and itching for things to do! She’s learning quilting from her neighbor, and has asked me to teach her how to knit and crochet. We’re going to hit up Shipshe to see if there are any great yarn shops! *rubs hands excitedly*

    Another place I LOVE to visit is Lehman’s store in Kidron, OH. I love their catalogs, too. All traditional, non-electric devices, and so fun to browse and marvel at!

    gaga – i am so glad she is okay, was able to get help, and was well enough to refuse transport – i hope she continues to feel fine, and your bp has returned to normal 😉 – the stress!!!

    okay, lady, you’re going to need to send me a photo of that gnome – it sounds so cute

    i got myself an inside gnome this year that made me so happy that i got a few smaller ones to make myself a whole little display – they are like weighted plush ones ♥

    OMG moms… That picture is so adorable and your comment really did make me laugh out loud ! Humphrey is so cute… hard to believe that cute boy is naughty! The picture totally made my day ♥ I love your gnome… for some reason I started seeing them everywhere and each one was cuter than then next…I would like to send you a picture of my porch gnome but unfortunately I just recently learned to send to people on my phone..
    My email is very wonky these days and I am really frustrated with it…. never had trouble before.
    Puma.. My mom is one tough lady ! I don’t know if you read back but she is 95 and is hanging on to her independence in her own home… ( by a thread ! )
    I have been to Kidron/Lehman’s a few times and you could probably spend a half of a day browsing at everything…. I can’t believe your little one has a loose tooth…. Where does the time go ?

    we went to a flea market and then an epic search for a certain brand of cat treats that i can not find in my town…………FAIL
    also looking for cheap cat scratcher boards…………FAIL
    i see no sense in paying big money for things for them to scratch. dollar tree used to have them, but the FOUR we went to today did not

    altho i did score some really pretty christmas paper that looks like candy cane stripes!

    puma – do you do the tooth fairy? SIL had given us this adorable little fairy box thing……..at the time i had dh go to the bank to get the sacajawea (sp) dollar coins………..so we were ready…………….and the teeth are crazy until about 11 or 12 and the dentist can tell ya what to expect………..be thankful that sometimes they are wrong (moneywise)
    no clue what to cook next……………really……….stumped………..need to watch a diners drive ins and dives or something………..i look in the freezer and see frozen meat……….no inspiration………….altho i have googled some good looking vegan cookie recipes!!!

    Gaga, I do recall that your mom was still holding her own at home! That’s amazing- good for her!! 🙂

    I ended up being able to buy points and pets. I switched to Google Chrome instead of Firefox and it worked. *shrugs* Might be something fritzy with Firefox today. Now I just need to decide who to get!! Tanuki, Kiger Mustang, Snowball Bunny, or Moon Fox? Hmmmmmmm…

    Kiddo picked the Blue Spring Kitten and named it… Small Puddle! XD (The first name choice was “Water”- I’d let him name it whatever he wanted, but I’m secretly glad it’s not Water!)

    Dee, we will do Tooth Fairy, though Kiddo knows the “secret” to all those- Santa, Easter Bunny and such. He thinks he’s getting $10 per tooth. HA probably not. XD When I was young, we were given Susan B. Anthony silver dollars, and Kennedy half-dollars and then told “they’re special so you can’t spend them”. I kept those things til I was in my 30s, then finally realized I should probably do SOMETHING with them, and money’s money. 😀

    Gaga – Glad your mom is okay! She is one tough lady! She reminds me of my mom. My mom is eleven years behind yours but very independent!

    Puma! So good to see you! I can hardly believe that the little one is 5.5! Amazing! And I love the name Small Puddle! Much better than “Water”. 😉

    As far as the tooth fairy….my kids were always trying to trap “her”. LOL! The things they did took every pot and pan out of my kitchen and lots of string! They never did catch her! (How cool that you had a tooth fairy box, Dee!)

    Oh…and my husband used to have relatives in Shipshewana. We haven’t been there in a long time, though. If you want some good Amish cooking go to Das Dutchman Essenhaus Restaurant! Gift/Quilt shop attached. Lots of fun! (Gaga – you will have to put that on your list of somewhere to go once retired).

    I was forgetting about visiting Santakinz! I can hardly keep up with everything! Thanks for the post about it, Moms!

    Well, back to prepping for my classes. Done with one and wrapping up the other. I have a project in three of my classes that involve taking in lots of stuff! Sigh! The girls will love it though. They are making rag dolls. ♥

    Morning! I ended up adopting the Snowball Bunny after a bit of input from Kiddo. I DIDN’T ask him for name ideas, though (LOL) and ended up naming the little bun Cassian.

    I’ve been focusing hard on Family Score these past few days- yesterday I got 17 pets with full hearts! Well on my way again with 8 already today. I run them through my pet care room (trampoline and treadmill, then a swim, then a bath and a brush, THEN a snack of their PSF), and then I knit my mom’s Christmas socks while I wait for them to chirp that they want something! ^.^

    Woke up to a cold, grey day, rain forthcoming the rest of the week, a nail in the tire of one of our cars, and nothing planned except homeschooling and baking! 😀

    Here’s our recipe we’re going to try to do today or this week:
    Pumpkin Chip Cookies (my grandma’s recipe!)

    Ingredients:
    1 small can pumpkin
    2 tsp. milk
    2 tsp baking soda
    2 eggs (beaten)
    2c. sugar (I always reduce this)
    1c. vegetable oil
    4c. flour
    4 tsp. baking power
    2 tsp. ground cinnamon (I always add extra)
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. vanilla extract
    2 c. chocolate chips

    In a large bowl, mix pumpkin, milk, and baking soda. In a separate bowl, mix eggs, sugar, vanilla, and oil well. Add to pumpkin mixture. Add flour, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt. Mix well. Stir in chocolate chips. Bake on greased cookie sheet at 350F for 10-15 minutes.

    I just wanted to share an activity I used with my kids when they were little to help them understand that Christmas isn’t just about Santa and the toys.
    I wrapped a box in white paper and cut a slot in the top. I had on had a bunch of different star stickers. Everytime one of them did a good deed they would write it or “scibble it” and put it on a slip of paper and in the box. They could then choose a star to put on the outside of the paper. I talked to them about Jesus being our gift from God and these good deeds in the box was our present to Jesus for his birthday.

    Ice Stormshadow 0. I am so mad they dropped down the amount you can win from the flower, it is hard enough to earn kinzcash on there, so it seems like an odd move. I saw a panda running around on there yesterday, so someone in beta obviously got one. I thought about taking advantage of the diamonds on sale, but after the whole flower thing not sure I want to. I need to figure out how to stop my baby from asking to grow. Finally saved up enough diamonds to spark my pets, but I don’t know if I want to grow the weird green husky to an adult yet, but it keeps asking.

    Puma – I’m doing the same thing this week! I’ve been working on family score! Crazy how I do it for a while, then let it go, and now I’m picking it up again! The Pumpkin chip recipe looks good. I’m debating whether or not to make Christmas cookies. I went shopping for some gifts for people today (as thank you’s) but didn’t find anything. So I thought maybe I should just bake cookies to give away. (You all know that I’m not much of a baker….) We will see!

    I missed out on ww activities yesterday. It is very unusual for me to me a day, but I was extremely sleepy when I got home last night!

    Cmpets – my next name is Lil Goldenflower 1 and I believe that we are already friends! ♥ I have Ice Stormshadow on my list but there is no 0 after it. But when I put in a request for your name with a 0 it said that I had already sent a friend request. So I’m assuming that we are friends. Yeah…I thought we were awarded 200 kc for the flower event, but today I only got 150 KC. It will take me forever to save enough KC for decorating pleasures. The glam theme wiped me out. I’ve definitely haven’t had KC for any of the rare stuff in the curio shop. Part of it is that even though I play on my Next account some, I really prefer classic.

    Moms – Hope you had an enjoyable lunch with your mom & that the haircuts/trim are just right! 😉
