gaga – i was excited for your browns! a win with all of the injuries is extra sweet! we are in Braves mode right now, i get bored with baseball, but dh is a big fan, and of course i’m tuning in for playoffs – we need to beat LA one more time (Saturday night?) to go to the World Series 😀
dee – i need to do a pot roast soon – that would be easy & tasty – i hope it’s cooling down again now – it has been humid all week

Gaga – Unfortunately, my room is NOT ready! I will have yet a THIRD room (better than last week at least for tea party). The thing that is driving me crazy is that I don’t know the dimensions of the room. I have three classes that bring in stuff (dolls, decorations for their tables, accessories, food) and I have to have different spots for each. Plus, the buffet table. The one advantage to new room is that it has a counter that I can place the tea cups & plates on & other needed items. On top of that I teach two other classes that meet in the same classroom and it is very tricky. Anyway, I’ve been making party favors for each girl. A little basket with a double sided cloth insert, a ribbon with anchor charm, and a piece of play food (erasers???). Anyway, it is taking much longer than I thought. But they are cute!
I never thought to garden in Next for $$$. Great idea, Boper!
And one more candy bash challenge to go….. (Not anymore! I just finished it)
Oh, I got to watch baby doll today (Friday) for a couple of hours!

Browns have a week off to give players a chance to heal… Did you happen to read that the running back that did so well on Thursday was taken off a fishing boat in FLA. !! First NFL game and his interview said that it was a dream come true for him..not sure about his hairdo though ! How in the heck would he get a football helmet on !
Sheba… your tea party for the girls sounds darling ! No wonder your time is very limited to do WW !! The party favors you are making is such a nice added touch for them ! They are lucky girls to have you for their teacher !! ♥

dee.. I use an envelop of Lipton’s Beefy onion soup with a dash of gravy master as my base for the pot roast.. makes great gravy for some mashed potatoes ,,
Boper.. I have another question about Webkinz Next… How do you get those pink jewels ?? Still trying to learn all of the ins/outs of the site !

I think there might be a varmint in one of those traps !! Thankfully the retriever is coming to get rid of it !! Despite not being able to see anything in the trap………I can’t bear the thought of picking it up .. even with one of those old lady grabbing devices…

gaga – yes, johnson was really cute when he found out that lebron tweeted about him, too – i hope he gets more chances. did you see how he had dm’ed every single team for a chance in the old AAF or whatever it was called? he seems like a go getter

i did my roast with beef stock, onions, garlic and pepper
no salt beef stock and i did not add salt……….dh said it was very good!
hmm
maybe i will do split pea soup on thursday…….have a hair appt in the middle of (my) day at eleven……….we shall see
it is good……….has carrots and taters in it and i have some ham that i chopped and froze …………….just gotta remember to soak the peas overnite prior

I am looking for a soup that can function as a meal. The main restriction is that the soup can not contain shellfish. Does anyone have a bean soup recipe that tastes good without sausage/bacon? I am looking for a healthy soup recipe.

moms.. congrats to the Braves ! Read that this will be their first World Series appearance since 1999 ! How exciting for the fans and the city !
OSU won big… not really even a game… I should have watched Illinois vs Penn
State… triple overtime.. would have been a real nail biter..
Gravy Master is a seasoning and used in caramelizing .. Comes in a very small bottle in spice isle… only need 1/2 tsp… I used to use BV Upper but must have been discontinued..

beef and vegetable soup
1lb ground beef
1 lg clove garlic
1.2 tsp pepper
2 -13-14 oz cans of beef broth
1 14.5 can stewed/diced tomatoes undrained
1 c 1/4 inc slice carrots
1 15 oz can cannelini/northern beans rinsed and drained
2 c torn spinach (washed)
brown ground beef. add pepper. add broth, tomoatoes and carrots……….
i cook for 90 minutes and add spinach at last five minutes
to veganize = use three cans beans and vegetable broth
recipe says put it all in crock pot for 4 hrs, so you have that option
and i just use a 32oz box of unsalted broth/stock
dh loves it with parmesan on top and i have been known to throw a handful of pasta in the bottom of my bowl.
as far as the garlic, i just use a teaspoon of the jarred minced stuff
freezes well

just gotta worry about finding the fresh stuff closer to the day
and moms, i would start small and unadorned………we are worried about our new addition……….we do ornaments starting a few feet off the ground (except for cheapo non breakables taht are pretty)
i am worried about stockings over the fireplace as they sooooo look like cat swinging devices………..we shall see
thankfully we have a lot of glue
