Hi all,
Just checking in… Very glad to be caught up on codes and that the Super School event does not require a lot of my time and energy right now. Things are really bad in my real life at the moment….. I know I can talk/vent here, but I’m just not in a place where I really want to talk about any of it right now. I don’t know when I’ll be able to check in again; Just wanted to give everyone a general idea of where I’m at, though, it case you all don’t hear from me any time soon… 🙁

dee… thanks for the pep talk ! I did get a couple of different kinds of apples yesterday and carrots and celery to cut up for snacking !
moms..hands of time clock is really cute ! Where does the time go ? I have to remember to log in the kiwi plushies…Heard from himself last night ! Loves his new jobs and is getting settled into his classes and getting more comfortable with new roommates and living arrangements.. Plans on catching a ride home next weekend with one his roommates and will be great to catch up in person…. and yes I will be making his favorite dinner on Sunday… spaghetti !
My mom’s new caregiver will be spotting over this morning for a meet and greet .. I hope that all works out… but as I have said many times…my mom can be quite challenging, Hope things are good with your mom…

i am watching radar & the storm info too dee – i feel so for those people
there is a place called Venice, LA about as far south of NOLA as you can get & still have some land that is near & dear to my dh’s & ds’s heart – they love to go fishing there – dh has been a few times, & our younger one has been once with him. they have a trip planned in October that they have been looking forward to months, and we just don’t know if it will happen – i feel for those people down there – it’s their homes and their livelihoods ♥
gaga – i’m glad himself seems to be settling in well but that you’ll get to have a visit soon too – i could use a visit with mine & might need to consider a quick trip

Speaking of new things… Went to Kinzville Academy today and won the new bathroom stall ! Love new prizes too !
moms.. I watched the weather channel for a bit yesterday… So scary ! I feel badly for all those people who are who are going through Ida ‘s wrath…I also can’t believe the weathermen who were broadcasting right in the middle of raging winds and rain ! Hope you are able to get a quick road trip before too long !
dee. I am sure the humane society appreciates your paper donations..they can use all the help they can get ! I had a 4 am visitor a couple nights ago.. two eyes peeping in through my patio door !! Was sitting at my computer and looked over… startled me… was a stray cat who took off as soon as I stood up to investigate…it returned the next day but I have a feeling it is a feral cat because it took off when I tried to go and see it… no collar

did errands with dh today. we actually got a lot done and did not argue!
not that we argue a lot………….just occasionally when we are trapped in the car for hours mostly…………
got a big stack of library books for the rain that is a comin, and with him going out of town. Got Dune at the library…………guess there is a reboot coming out soon………….i think all the real science nerds have abandoned the blog, so i will not even try to discuss it…………..
off to kroger tomorrow to get deli stuff for him for road food. healthier and we know who made it…………ewwwww
hope all are well……………only a couple things left to pack……..need to skype the computer around to show dd what is left in her room

Recently did some cat sitting for my sister… She is 17 and really is so skinny !
Was instructed to give her one can of wet food per day… that really was the worst part… smells terrible ! Tried to give a different one each day and each one smelled worse than the day before !
Otterkinz… hope you are doing OK !
ll… I usually don’t do the Academy every day but was a bit more motivated because of the new prizes !

gaga – my kitties are great – i love them very much – yes, they do eat wet food – they only eat one kind, and i’ve smelled worse, but it’s gross! i only feed it to them because the vet said it’s really good for them to help prevent kidney problems

dee – my cat before only ate dry food – we will see what happens, i’ve heard at lot of people stop wet food after they are a year old? i’ve never fed wet before, so idk except that dolly loves it

all of our kittiez would get wet food at christmas or their bday
or if we were trying to slip them meds
as our last kittiez got older, the doc recommended due to age
we do whatever………..dds cat gets a tbs of wet food each day to take her meds.
i know a couple brands of dry have “recipes” with adding water or broth
just make sure you use the no sodium stuff if you go broth……
i am not even sure how long to do kitten chow……..little buggers just usually horn in on the grownup food…………
planning my dh will be gone menu…………ha ha ha ha
lots of veg………maybe a burger………..maybe some tortellini…….def some black bean and jalapeno nachos………….you guys would not call them nachos as there is no cheese or that stuff………..but they are good!
