   Love the Wacky Pool !
   Sheba.. I decided to bake the Salmon.. My mom said it was good … and she has no filter when she doesn’t like something ! On the other hand the sweet potatoes were not done even after one hour.

   moms.. you have a very good way with words.. much nicer than I ! Just my way of defending the blog and all of the generosity of all those who gather here.. Not to mention all of the time and energy that goes into making this the best place to share and support each other.♥

   Trying to figure out the complicated mess of refunding $ to those who dropped my classes due to covid policy and collecting $ for those who added. Should be simple but for some reason it hasn’t been easy.

   i know some time new visitors do not realize that we do not profit in any way for the blog, and all prizes are donated by people who buy them themselves with their own money to show their appreciation to the people on the blog

   gaga & dee – thanks for the compliments, but you know i’m not that nice so that makes this gesture all the more surprising, huh???? 😆 i’m just trying to follow cassie’s lead of awarding prizes to everyone in her contest ♥

   I saw someone post that they were preparing for our school system to have a closure, but I am wondering if that is speculation, a rumor, or someone with inside knowledge because we have heard nothing & the system is keeping mum . . .

   the way the numbers are in our state, i’m so glad our schools are using masks because the two other really big systems by us are publishing their stats – the one without masks has double the rate of positive students than the one with masks – i know that isn’t a scientific study, but it seems telling to me . . .

   an acquaintance lashed out at me the other day for supporting masks though and compared wearing a mask to trying to stop a flood with a chain link fence. i bit my tongue & didn’t ask if he was okay with hospital staff not wearing masks if he, his wife, or his daughters needed surgery, so maybe I’m getting soft idk if masks work, but i don’t think they hurt – can’t hurt, might help??? i am sure some disagree though, so *shrugs*

    No, it isn’t automated. I’m the “automation” and that is why it is faulty! LOL! I work independently. But I have figured out how to refund on the APP finally.

    I’m choosing to wear a mask where I teach (one day a week), but masks are not mandated. The rates of Covid in our area are low due to high vaccination rates, yet that could possibly change as we know that the Delta variant is hitting the unvaccinated hard, and sometimes the vaccinated. There are so many variables as to what could happen in this upcoming year that I find myself tied up into knots. I have come very close to quitting and some teachers have.

    I try to avoid discussions on this and respect differing views than mine. But it is hard to bite my tongue sometimes.

    I sure hope I get to check on my webbies, today. They have been going around the town unmasked again. LOL!

    no ideas whatsoever on what to cook next….yes i do it for fun, but we also need to eat!
    what is everyone else having?
    debating on whether to do homemade pizza………….i mean i really do not know, I do not have a hankering for anything………….

    they do not wear masks here……..i figure maybe a month before they go back to virtual school (at least my county)
    this new thing seems to hit the kids…………..but we do not have any kid deaths
    just kids getting virus
    i would love to know (gaga)
    if i have the antibodies………….would i get them from the shot? or from having covid?
    sadly – this information is hard to find from reputable sources (sorry i do not count twitter )
    where dd is, masks on! vaccine or no go to school AND school requires every 72 hr tests (they pay) even if you are vaccinated…………so

    i do not believe any one has a handle on this and feel free to prove me wrong

    and that prolly broke all of moms – keep politics (but is it politics?) out of gymbos

    Dee – I seriously need to get groceries….but will probably wait until Monday. We will probably have leftovers tonight (aka, hamburgers, veggies, and salad).

    are you asking do antibodies show in the antibodies testing for vaccinated people??? i know people who had covid that were tested for antibodies & still had high values, but idk about the vax . . .

    Sheba.. I hope your headache is gone and you are feeling better this morning
    It would be very difficult to be a teacher right now.. so much controversy !
    Do what you feel is best for you to continue to keep yourself safe and healthy.

    dee.. I so agree with moms in that this is such a new virus/multiple mutations.
    I follow the medical opinions.. local infectious disease experts.. state medical experts and of course Dr. Fauci ! They are collecting the data… the research and studies on vaccinations.. The only thing I will say is everyone needs to mask up and get vaccinated !! Period .
    On a lighter note.. I am serving hamburgers tater tots grilled asparagus and sliced tomatoes today for family dinner.. Keeping it simple.

    moms.. think often about the college kids and them trying to begin school safely and still experiencing college life ! My heart breaks for the elderly too as I have mentioned before. So many unknowns…

    Mom’s I’m with ya on, ” I too respect differing views & try not to discuss too much …” While I always where a mask and wish more people would. I personally have concern for children wearing masks ALL DAY long. Children are still growing if they are wearing effective masks ‘correctly’ it is going to effect their ablility to see and sociallize with expressions as well as facial growth, nose, ears etc. Also, their oxygen intake over an extended period of time. And most younger children are constantly touching the masks when they’re whwearing them. So while it would make it safer for me…. I leave the descision on it up to to the parents….. There are just so many different feelings on it.
    Know this, I’m glad we have such an understanding Gymbo family. 🙂

    gwenda – i have the benefit of not having young ones. i don’t have an opinion and am not really informed on the issues there, but i can judge from my elderly toddler that wearing a mask properly, touching it constantly, etc. might defeat the purpose for sure

    i’ve had to tell my mom to not pull her mask down to talk soooooooooo many times, i can’t imagine being a teacher in a classroom full of littles!!!!

    dee – i need to start cooking again – we are eating out too much & in a rut

    i’m thinking i’ll only plan a few meals a week of preplanned meals between travel plans & social lives – nothing here is the same on a daily basis. i like keeping cooked chicken on hand for wraps, salads, etc. too – sometimes i will have plain chicken, sometimes honey mustard, sometimes mexican seasoning, etc. grilled, baked, shredded

    i have tons recipes to cycle through, but please keep sharing your plans to motivate me – i wish i enjoyed cooking more than i do . . .

    Greek ck pita
    Cook ck brea sts with poultry seasoning (lots) and a dash of salt. cut into slices
    Place on warmed Greek pita, put a some greek dressing over ck then add crunchy romaine, White cheese blend, diced tomatos and thin onion slice and a bit more greek dressing then fold Simple & tastee. 🙂
