   I had a friend bike 50 miles in support of autism and I thought that was a lot! But 200 miles? Wow!

   Saturday I watched baby girl for seven hours. She is a living doll!

   mrd … Congrats to your ds on his 200 mile bike ride ! I can’t imagine…
   Happy to hear that all of the money is donated to the cause…that’s the way it should be.
   Sheba.. sounds like you had a great day babysitting your new granddaughter
   moms.. I was wondering about the upcoming seed boxes too ! I guess we will just have to wait and see… My sister and himself went down to pick up the keys for his new off campus digs… I asked them to send some pictures once they were in the house….My moms were really anxious to see his new home away from home……………My sister never did send any pictures and when she got home she called and described the place as ” uninhabitable” She was close to tears… She said the place was filthy ..full of mold.. and a total disaster… One of the other boys had all of his things intending to move in and his parents would not allow him to put his things in the house..
   Move in day was expected to be next Saturday but not sure at this point what will happen… They drew numbers for the bedrooms… and himself got the smallest room… No room for a dresser…Very tiny.. The kids took a lot of pictures and attempted to contact the landlord…The whole day sounded like a catastrophe ! I tried reaching out to himself by text but he was in no mood to “talk” about it…. The only thing he said after I said that a little elbow grease goes a long way was in reference to the mold… black only gets blacker ! I feel terrible for all of the boys…Will see what happens this week.
   To top off my day…..my mom was in no shape to enjoy the grilled shish kebobs I stood in the rain to fix… Either someone is giving her extra wine or she is using the barbeque tongs or her “grabbers” to get to her wine !
   All in all not the best day… Very disheartening… Will have to play Nightbird’s song ” It’s OK” and get an attitude adjustment.
   dee. Didn’t realize that you don’t eat cheese ! OG serves a five cheese ziti which is my favorite.. but won’t work for you !

   Good Morning All-

   Back from dropping off the kid at college. Would not recommend driving across the country in 4 days. With stops to see sites along the way, it may have been fun, but this was basically 34 hours of just driving and stopping to sleep. She is very grateful and happy to have her car there though, so makes it worth it.

   Got to see her apartment, but not her room. Technically her lease starts next week, so it was locked. Sad about her moving in on her own, but just the way it worked out. Luckily we have FaceTime and online shopping, so I can still help her decorate from here.

   gaga- That whole situation with himself and that place sounds awful. What a thing to have to deal with when trying to get settled in before classes start. Hoping that whole thing gets sorted out quickly.

   I will have to try and catch up on the wacky prizes. I think I have missed several of the new prizes from 2019 & 2020, so clearly it is not a priority for me. I did manage to get 1 packet of seeds from the cobs so at least I have those. And luckily we have a few days left.

   Off to get some work done. Hope everyone has a nice day.

   Gaga – Not happy about your nephew’s situation! That is SO terrible! Mold can ’cause so many health issues! I hope he can find a different place to live.
   Sorry about the bad day with your mom. And the “It’s OK” song is a good way to get encouragement. I’ve enjoyed listening to it since you told us about it.

   Cmpets – Sounds like your dd has a much better living arrangement. That is a lot of driving!

   cmpets – thank goodness for technology that you can share some of her experience ♥ where is she staying until her lease? i have an emotional time sending my younger ds to high school down the street, so you can imagine how much i have to suck it up to send the one to college – luckily he’s only a 7-8 hour drive but still too far for my liking 😉

   gaga – boooooooo! boo on your whole entire day! that STINKS! (literally & figuratively) – mold is not okay & takes a lot more remediation than elbow grease – so frustrating & horrible timing

    my dd has had some…………..um seedy apartments
    college budget ya know…………she has had critters, mary jane wafting in from other folks patios, broken and took forever windows…..no heat/too much heat

    but ya get what ya pay for and sadly the college approximate places are usually much much higher than regular places………….
    she is going to a new one 1 sept……….we have only seen pics online…….
    granted it is boston which is expensive anyways. Just happy that dd knows what “real” prices are away from the cities/schools

    Moms – I thought that maybe that one code was already listed! My eyes were going crazy looking at all the codes. In fact, I entered so many codes today on one account that I was banned from the code shop for 24 hours (not because I entered many codes, but because of all the mistakes that I made when entering them). But I took that as I sign that I had spent enough time on Webkinz. Besides I was procrastinating with my RL “To Do” list. LOL!

    I wish they would put expiration dates on all the codes because it is confusing. I am keeping a notebook now with a list of the unexpired codes so I know what I entered (or not).

    Sheba.. your comment about notebooks made me chuckle ! I also use notebooks and index cards ! Since I have a “smart” phone I have been taking pictures of the codes.
    dee.. I am now learning that off campus student housing is pricey and not in the best of shape but it should be clean and in good repair… Land lords should do walk throughs after the students pack up and go home….. Himself said it looks like his place has been locked up for months with no attention to repair or cleanliness… It is a week before move in day and the kids are stuck ! I hope your dd’s new place is all that it should be… and it meets her approval and yours !
    moms…I saw a few pictures of his place… looks like there is some mold around the tile/tub….and definitely needs repairs.. Landlord assured the boys that everything would be fixed by Friday… we’ll see. Back to work today.
    Looking forward to seeing what is in the new Seed Boxes !

    Finally catching up! I try to read and catch up on the weekends, but we’ve been away or had company the last few, so I am really behind.

    Thanks for the gifts, LL and grandma! And congrats, LL, on your PSF collection! You are correct … I don’t have the latest items on mine. I think I updated the list last summer, but will try to check and update it this weekend.

    QOS, there is a trick I found for the Magic Mire collection. Momz probably knows it, but I can write it up and send it through her? Although she probably has it on the bat signal list …

    Still in denial that we are headed back to school so soon. Looking forward to seeing all of the kids, but I’m so over the whole covid situation. I’m still thinking back to “two weeks to flatten the curve” … I know so many people who are struggling emotionally and with mental health issues over this whole thing. I’m just keeping my head down and not watching or listening to the news.

    I need to spend some time on the Wacky game. It is time-consuming, and I think I skipped it completely last year, so I think all the prizes are new to me! Hoping I can get a few minutes this evening to spend on it.

    Gaga – Himself needs my dh as a landlord. He rents to college students and he is the best landlord ever! The apartments look practically look brand new after the old tenants leave and the new come in. He doesn’t own a lot, but enough to keep him super busy in the summer as he does most of the work himself. My dh just spent the past week helping one of our son’s turn over an apartment as a landlord. (Our son’s first experience with it).

    When I was part of WI, my friends there each had an index card in my file, but the file got too big and I didn’t keep it up. But I love going through the cards now as it brings back fun times. And once I started with collections which was late in my Webkinz career, my notes got out of hand. This summer I spent making 1/2″ binders for each category. They are on my desk: PAN, Jumbleberry Fields, Code Shop, Wishing Well, Kinzville Academy and Spree Mall. And then I have portfolio notebooks that I need to consolidate into my binders. I used to have a folder for my daughter’s account, but I find it easier to put everything into the binder system. OH, and I have one folder for current events with Webkinz. I keep the latest code sheet there, the latest PAN sheet (where I check off what I am getting), and any special events. After they are over, I file in a pile (ha ha) or the binder. As I am writing this I realize that I need a special event binder. But sometimes, I just through the old notes away (recycling the paper, of course).

    Two summers ago I went to my sister’s house for a week and worked on updating a lot of my Webkinz stuff while she was a work. She could not believe the box that I brought containing all of my “work.” LOL!

    It is definitely a BIG hobby! If I had of started this system from the beginning it would be nice and orderly, but I had no idea that I would get so involved and that it would be so much fun!

    Miracle, I am open to any tricks. I seriously only need one more charm to collect in Fairy Falls and Magic Mire on one account (my daughter’s).

    Miracle – Are you a teacher? You mentioned heading back to the school and seeing all the kids. I’m waiting to hear if masks will be required where I teach. I am assuming that will be the case.

    As far as Magic Mire – I know not to go down the Snowy Path to get the eggplant charm to complete the collection.
    For Fairy Falls – I know not to go down the Fairy Fountain Path to get the cupcake. Those are the two that I need! And this account has been established since 2007. I have gone on a regular basis (for me at least three or four times a week, every day when I’m able) since I started to manage my dd’s account over four years ago.

    Sometimes I focus on KA, but I have put that aside for this past year. I was having shoulder trouble from trying so hard with the strength with multiple pets each day. Just waiting for another glitch for strength to make progress for my students. SO….occasionally, I try to see if there is a glitch. OR better yet some improvement!

    I am not trying for the charms on our extra accounts.

    Sounds like everyone’s moving their kids around for school. Sorry to hear about some not so great living situations. I got lucky with my apartment because I’m going to school in the middle of nowhere midwest where the cost of living it low, so I was able to find a nice, reasonably priced apartment. Then they raised the rent by several hundred for the other available units right after I signed my lease, so I’m sure my rent will go up quite a bit next year. Super bummed about that, but I’m willing to take a little extra out in loans to avoid moving because this place is nice.
    My only complaint is that I get charged extra for my roommate and he contributes nothing towards rent. Look at this freeloader!

    Yes, I’m a part-time high school teacher. So much work and so much fun. I think it helps keep me young, although it is a little harder to go in now that my kids aren’t there with me. But it’s also easier because I don’t have to worry about making sure they are doing all the things they need to do, staying late for practices, etc.

    I remember taking my dd down to college and helping her fix up her beat-up living arrangements. She was rooming with 4 other girls in a house, and we painted, rearranged, patched, repaired, etc. She learned a lot about fixing up a house. Paint helps tremendously, but mold is a little scarier. I’d be spraying bleach and then painting and sealing every crack with caulk. Eeek!

    Well, off to play Wacky. Wish me luck!

    moms-I don’t really have a wishlist. I didn’t get any of the items from 2020, guessing I was moving dd into her dorm??? I love the beach blanket, but it’s not something I must have.

    gaga-please keep us posted on your nephew’s move. I am all invested since I am at that same point. Getting housing was a whirlwind for us because dd was waiting to hear if either of her transfer options accepted her. The dream school did not, so she just decided to continue on where she is, so she decided late on a place to live. Luckily she was able to get a room where her friends are already living.

    QoS-you are definitely organized. I realized how much I need to go through my dock and clean out while I was looking to see what wacky items I have/need. If only I had started out more organized, or had time to spend on it. For now I keep up when I can.

    Sheba.. I have taken a break from Kinzville Academy as well… Just need the Strengh and Running Class to complete my Diploma… so difficult and a bit frustrating ! I wish your dh could be the boy’s landlord.. He sounds amazing and a great landlord… These kids spend good money to live in a place that they expected to be clean and in good repair…

    Choco.. so happy for you and your roommate that you were able to find a nice clean apartment…He is very cute ! Good luck with your upcoming classes
    cmpets..Sorry your dd transfer school did not…but I do believe that things
    happen for a reason and hopefully she will settle in and love it…My nephew attends a very large state school and housing is really hard to come by… The boys who found the housing did so with photos found on line…It should have been their first clue when they were not permitted to see it because the landlord said it was occupied….I talk to my nephew at great length yesterday and he seemed a bit better…Hopefully the landlord will have all necessary items on the kids list taken care of for them by Friday….
    Miracle… so many issues for teachers and kids returning to the classroom this fall.. So much discussion and controversy…
    Happy ( I think ) to say that I have made the decision after 47 years at my job to be RETIRING !! It was not a decision I made without much thought and sleepless nights… But I am ready… Nursing has changed so much since I began my career… Now….Every patient I go to take care of… I have to drag a computer on wheels with me… More eye contact on the screen than looking at my patient…Hearing that we expecting to get a new computer program in the near future….just can’t do it again… feel like I am just getting comfortable with this one ! I have so many good memories.. great friends and coworkers and no regrets. Plan on hanging up my scrubs in December !

    Hi everyone! Sorry I’ve Been MIA…RL is just super duper busy!
    Both guys finished all requirements for weight loss surgery. ..so just waiting for surgery dates.
    I’m heading in to surgeries again myself…never ends. My left thumb…trigger thumb, and laser surgery on both my eyes..trying to help get pressures down as I’ve exhausted all eye meds for tge glaucoma. ..surgery is last effort..so wish me luck!!
    Other then that just ssdd here..lol

    I’ve been able to keep up in ww so far. Though I missed last month’s appreciation day! But was able to buy in estore..so that’s good. First piece of wacky corn I fed to my pet gave me the popcorn tree seeds…fed tons since…and nothing!! So glad I at least got the one! I played wacky game..got the 3 new items but not the seeds yet..but not a big deal..I stopped playing after 4 games…
    I noticed a couple of you talking about KA and the magic mire..those seem harder to complete these days! I finished 1 account years ago…I only poke once in a while at the others not really interested…and I gave up on the zums…it takes too long to earn points to buy the items imo. I’d rather decorate rooms..

    Thanks for all of your well wishes on my upcoming retirement… Employer requires three month notification… however one of my co workers has been waiting for my announcement for quite a while…she has wanted my position.

    moms…I hope you and your mom have a nice outing ! I really relate to a mom being a trip and a half ! Fortunately one her caregivers always does a great job with my mom’s hair.. cut/color and making her feel beautiful !

    LL – Good morning. I sent Ponchos Jellybeans but not sure that is what you wanted. It was a prize from the jellybean challenge for a while but it’s not a food, it’s placeable. If that’s not what you wanted feel free to share it with someone else.

    QoS – I agree about the corn floating faster. I think it’s about every 2 minutes now. So much better! But I thought Wacky continued through tomorrow. Guess that means last day for the games.

    Okay, there are a LOT of comments to get caught up on… But is anyone else having trouble getting on the Webkinz Desktop App today or is it just me??? I just get a blue screen with some of the icons (KinzCash, Family Score, KinzPost button, etc.) at the top but I can’t actually click on any of them!! I am freaking out because I don’t know what to do to fix the app!!!! I’m pretty sure it’s just me since I see no mention of anyone else having problems anywhere….. Any advice??? I actually have time to play Wacky Zingoz and WackyER Zingoz today and I can’t get on!! It’s maddening!!!!!

    Grandma- Thank you for the gift regardless. I probably wasn’t paying close enough attention when I was making the list and thought it was food cause hey it sounds like it. But don’t worry it will not go to waste I love collecting the placeable food too haha. Makes me wish all the psfs were placeable too.

    I need to figure out what to wish for at the Wish Factory since I was gifted the Flowing Ribbons bed. I wish for it automatically….and now I need a new habit. Ha ha!

    Otter – Sorry about your frustration with the app. Sometimes I find that rebooting helps updates to be put into place. There may also be a way to go to the APP store and hit an update button. Not sure! But I hope you are able to have success!

    Otter – I just checked and I was able to log into Webkinz without a problem, but maybe it is possible Webkinz had some kind of an update this morning? Just thinking out loud with you!

    UPDATE: I emailed customer service, and they emailed me back about an hour ago. I had to clear all of the cache in a folder on my computer that I didn’t even know I had because I guess the Webkinz Desktop App has to store cache somewhere for some reason? The “instructions” they sent weren’t helpful at all, but I Googled key words from the “instructions” to find actual instructions that helped me figure out what to do!! I’m just so relieved that it was something “simple” that could be fixed and not something bigger like someone hacking into my account or me being banned for some unknown reason…..

    thought about miss gaga yesterday while we were out gallivanting
    stopped at an amish bakery………..suspiciously located close to an interstate (as in wondered if they wore costumes or really amish)
    anyways………….got some GIANT donuts and they were good as they were not super sweet and sugary. dh and i were both hungry so perfect
    anyways, bought some dusseldorf mustard off of them and now i MUST have brats! with sauerkraut…………..kroger day tomorrow, so hopefully they are in stock………….that sounds funny to type, but i am sure anyone who grocery shops knows what i mean……..

    Even though I’m trying to avoid donuts….those donuts sound tempting, Dee! I’d love to have a donut that isn’t super sweet & sugary.

    That said….the only way I will eat sauerkraut is with brown sugar and apples. LOL! Just haven’t learned to like regular sour sauerkraut.
