   i like gymnastics, the new skateboarding, swimming – actually i like most of the events – i’ll watch any of it

   I’ve been so busy lately. I just go to my new apartment the other day and there’s so much to do. I came here without a lot of furniture so now I have to buy and build all of it and I am sick of building furniture! It’s gonna be a slow process getting this place set up, but I’m really excited to decorate. Unfortunately, I have to be very careful with my decor choices because kitty loves to get into everything. He does seem to like the place, especially since it’s just him and he doesn’t have to deal with my parents’ dog.
   Classes don’t start until august 23rd, so I still have pretty of time to get settled. I want to explore the area once I unpack a little more. It’s interesting to see the different stores that they have here that we didn’t have in MI.

   Moms- I haven’t had to watch the Olympics yet. I decided to skip cable and just go for internet (Comcast wanted and extra $60 just for basic cable!), so I haven’t seen anything besides a few things that I’ve come across alone. Comcast gave me peacock premium for free and apparently you can watch the olympics on that, so I’ll have to get that set up. I mostly like watching the gymnasts, but I’ll put any of the sports on in the background.

   choco – did you tell us where you are – generally not specifically??? i can’t remember right now. i’m glad you have plenty of time to put together your apartment – it’s so fun doing all of that! and i’m glad that your kitty is happy ♥

   yes – set up peacock! that’s great you have that. we don’t have cable, but we have a couple of streaming services – i’ve only used the free version of peacock though so far

   Momz – I’m in Indiana. I told Dee the specific area and school, I could email you that info if you want it.
   I used peacock a few times because we had it at my parents house, but I never spent much time looking at it. I’m thinking about getting hbo max or paramount+ since I don’t have cable. I have pretty much all of the other streaming services.
   I’m so glad I got my cat before coming here. He is the best cat and has such a sweet and goofy personality. I’ll have to add more pictures of him later because he’s a cutie.

   I haven’t gotten into watching the Olympics yet. This year is the first year I’ve had a full time job while the Olympics have been on, so I don’t feel like I have much time to watch. My favourite events were usually the different swimming ones or gymnastics.

I think I mentioned it earlier in a post but Bruce Springsteen’s daughter made the Olympic Team after years of trying ! Watched some of the men’s basketball defeat to France yesterday.. Not doing well at all .. I think it was there second loss.

    I accidentally watched some Olympics yesterday. Dressage and table tennis. The only interesting ones for me are swimming, gymnastics, and track, so hopefully I will catch some of that.

    Hi everybody! Today is my first day back at work since being sick, and I’m on my lunch break. I logged in to do my dailies and I also bought the crystal falls building kit and I’m a little bit confused by how it works. When I send requests, do my friends have to have those items? Or do they just press send and I get them without them having had ex. gallons of water to give away? Can I ask each person only for one of the building materials I need?

    You guys have been super generous to me, so I have a few items to give away to whoever wants them: jumbleberry wreath (from jumbleberry farms, would also love to trade for a different jumbleberry farms item), spa robe (vacation island), hot dog cart floor tile (marshmallow collecting), beach house towel rack (bake sale), kinzpost postcards and racecar chair (can’t remember where i got either of these and whether they’re rare items or not, but i don’t want them so anyone can have them if they have any value). Just let me know what you would like and your WWID!

    the giveaway acct for gymbos is kinzheads, if anyone wants to just donate stuff………..moms reaches in their with her big skeleton claw sometimes and just throws things out at folks……….

    and for the building, you just ask. If i remember you have to have x amount of brick, x amount of wood etc
    just ask folks everyday for whatever you are missing and when it is full up of supplies you can build it

    Adrien- we just press send. Like the marshmallow collection, it just shows up in our notifications and we hit the send button. You can only send out one request per person per day.

I think you and I must have a similar WW history … played early on, took a break for a few years in the middle, and then came back. So I am missing a lot of the same things that you are. But our years must differ slightly because I think I still have a few things for you … 🙂

    I have totally missed watching the Olympics … have barely even kept track. I used to care a lot more about them, but not so much these days.

    Someone just told me yesterday that teacher in-service starts in two weeks, so I’m freaking out a bit. I just felt like we had so much more time left! Not ready for my kids to go back to college either.

    LOL, gaga, “very fine house …” And loved Dee’s club sandwich. That’s definitely my type of club. 🙂 You guys are great. 🙂

    Also since my favorite part of Webkinz has been decorating my house and I’m pretty proud of how it looks 1 week into playing this game, I uploaded a little imgur gallery to show it off to you guys: https://imgur.com/a/s0tVXkQ. I’d love to see your houses and pets! I only have a free pet, a leonberger named Rutherford (in honor of the chemist who discovered the structure of the atom; I’m a chemist).

    Being back at work is stressing me out, but oh well. I had a very nice evening last night where I went in to the city and hung out at (insert famous park) and listened to some live music and read. I’m reading Anxious People by Fredrik Bachman. Trying to spend more time reading, and taking a book with me on the subway every day to make good use of that time; if anyone has book suggestions let me know!

    Thank you Secret Santakinz for the very generous gift!!! And thank you moms for delivering all the gifts to everyone!!! I was just as confused as littleleaf at first… lol!

    Well, I must have been pretty tired the other day because when I came by to check the blog quickly, I did NOT see my name in that list up there for the winners of the Cassie 101 contest. I was all ready to congratulate everyone who won a pet from Cassie’s contest, and now I see that apparently I won one, too! Oops! Thank you, Cassie!! And still, congratulations to all the winners! I hope everyone who didn’t win this contest wins next time!

    I am SUPER proud of myself today… I went through and entered all of the current email and community codes all the way through October!!!! For the first time in history, I am both completely caught up AND early with my codes!!     dee… can’t image working on a car in this heat ! Expecting some thundershowers tomorrow..just increases the humidity ! Thanks for adding to the codes ! End of this month is fast approaching.
    Miracle .. so much discussion about kids and teachers heading back to school and whether to mandate masks or not.. Our governor was very adamant about
    mandating masks for 15 months… now he seems to have stepped back and leaving it up to individual school systems…
    moms.. received a call from my sister last night.. concerned about Amish area not being safe ! We are supposed to head out tomorrow…She had heard on the news that the county we visit is surging … After some discussion .. We are a go ! She and I sit on different sides of the fence politically so always remind her that it is not a subject up for discussion…period……….
    Taking himself early this morning to renew driver’s license… Plan on inquiring about how far out they are booking testing for licenses.. Would really like him to take the test again before he heads back to school… however that whole experience really soured him… He won’t even go to the same testing center !

    gaga – i am worried about the surges lately too – i don’t want to see anything like last year with businesses being closed, so i feel like we need to wear masks & make safer choices so that we can slow the spread & prevent things from getting more out of control . . . i don’t want to get to the point of government mandates – for me it isn’t political, just cautious so that we learn from what happened last year
