   i got a gigantor whole chicken and some chicken lady parts…..

   Long day! I haven’t gotten to play Webkinz today. Sigh! I seriously hope that I’m able to get online on Father’s Day. I want that mug! Plus, the deluxe gift. It really depends on how long we hang out with baby. I can probably catch the mug on my phone…

   And Dee….my dh had to clean the window slats on our screened in porch today. So sounds like the hubbies have the cleaning bug.

   Moms – nice your son has a job! 😉

    Well got bad news to share…dh is in hospital again..
    Long story short… he went to ER sun. His right arm was hurting bad. .They said..oh its a pinched nerve, sent him home told him go to ortho dr.
    Monday, In shower getting ready to go to ortho dr. BP plummets and he collapses on me..BP was 68 0ver 46!
    Rushed back to ER…they can’t figure out what’s wrong. I start looking at h is arm very closely. ..realized it was turning red next to his tattoos and felt burning hot..thought I saw spider bite..dr comes in, I show him, he concurs…then says…good call, I would have missed that. .wth!? I’m not kidding..I was speechless..
    Anyway..he has infection bad in forearm..worse because it was missed 24 hours previously…
    So they stabilized him and admitted him.

    They weren’t giving him enough pain meds to help the pain, so he didn’t sleep so he started acting weird…I didn’t realize till today it was sleep deprivation. ..ugh…
    anyway they did ultrasound to look for a DVT..it wasn’t that.. now they had to unhook his IV meds to do it..

    They never hooked his antibiotics back up..only no one realized..
    I was getting ready to leave when I realized his arm started looking worse then it was earlier…I start looking at IV…realized he wasn’t getting the meds!!!
    Now at that point it was 7pm…no meds since 1pm. 6 hours off antibiotics. .the night nurse started panicking a little when I brought it to her attention..she tried to get him hooked back up and realized his IV port was no good it had blown the vein when she pushed his pain meds in .now he also needs anti nausea meds so he don’t throw up..and she couldn’t give it to him now…
    I then realized there was a reason he’d gotten sick during ULTRASOUND earlier..they put bag of nausea med on pole…BUT, never hooked that up either!!!
    So nurse was getting things ready to move IV needle site..I had to leave..dh calls me 11pm.
    They blew another vein, then it took 13 more tries and 5 other people and finally another ultrasound to find a vein that they could use! ( 10 hours without antibiotics)
    Now we wait to see if he was off the antibiotics long enough to make the bacterial infection resistant to the ones he was on.
    that’s why they tell you take all your antibiotics. .because stopping them too early before infection is beat can make it impossible to use that particular antibiotic(s) as the infection can become resistant to it..dh didn’t know that..and I told him and the nurse confirmed it. I’m so upset. . he was going septic! This could kill him… I’m just floored with all of this..it’s so similar to when he almost died a few years ago..and I’m more scared this time..
    I can not belive how fast he got sick again..just when it seemed he was going to be well enough for the weight loss surgery, that according to the dr. Would save his life and turn it around..and we could get our lives back to some kind normal.

    I couldn’t make this story up if I wanted too.. both of us must have really done something bad in past to have to go through this !
    Life can take a detour so fast…I thought I was gonna lose him this time for sure…
    Please pray for my dh…

    Don’t forget to tell your loved ones you love them everyday..
    Take time to enjoy life with them…do those things you’ve talked about doing!
    Don’t put things off..because in a split second they could slip away from you…life is too damn short.

    And thank you moms and everyone that helps her with this blog for keeping it going all these years, and giving us a second family to run to and share the good and the bad.

    Have clogged kitchen sink… Tried baking soda/white vinegar… anyone have any ideas.. short of calling a plumber which I will do today if nothing works.

    Hey dee… I am city… stopped to get some more baking soda/white vinegar to try again….Just arrived home and have put recommended ingredients down the sink…..keeping my fingers crossed that it works… if not one of techs recommended I take the “J” pipe off and check for a clog in that…. not sure I am brave enough but may try…. am just concerned that if I get the J pipe off …. I won’t be able to properly reattach ! Sounds easy enough but IDK !!

    next
    try the plunger if you have one.
    liquid plumber can be used since you are city sewer (versus septic)
    dh also has this thing he calls a snake that goes down in and fishes up ickies. altho he mostly uses that in the bathrooms when dd was living here to get gobs of hair out………blech
    if you do take apart the pipe……….take a picture first so you know what it is supposed to look like and make sure you have a bucket underneath it all

    after that………….sorry babe, looks like a plumber will come in and fix it in ten minutes and charge you a bunch of money………..but hey you will get to see that pants effect!

    Hey dee. Appreciate your help….called plumber… they are so busy they told me it would be at least a week and a half before they can come and told me to call somebody else….drain is completely clogged… I do have a plunger and decided to give it a try….. Seems like the kitchen drain is much larger than the plunger suctioner so I was unable to push the plunger down to get any suction !!! totally frustrated… debating whether to unscrew “J” pipes under the sink and hope for the best… but visions of disaster dance through my head !!
    Not sure what is next… will have some dinner and decide..

    good news – my vehicle is clean! i told him this morning to get up and wash it today before he did anything else – he washed mine & his – yay!

    make sure you have that bucket ready…………sadly we have the two sizes of plungers………….don’t ask

    kind of cute tho, as when dd got her first apt, a plunger was on her list of must haves!

    i have only used vinegar/baking soda for “freshening” up the garbage disposal.
    You could dump a can of coke down there!
    ask around for other plumbers………….here there is a buy/sell site where you can get recommendations. I wish my dh was closer for you.

    re 21 – so you agree she needs to drop her pants lower and squat to channel her inner plumber????

    cassie – i thought i got on there & sent it already when i saw your comment – can you check & see if maybe i already sent it??? i’ll look at your wish list too & try to figure out what i was doing 😳

    wophy is “nitabuggy”! we had a list, then someone was concerned about it – i don’t remember why, but we just quit doing it – does anyone have a list they keep for themselves that they could email me as a starter? i could always make one & email or password protect it . . .

    QoS – i’ll do my best to get extras to share! & yes – it’s kind of interesting – they are both working!

    chant – oh NO! i’m so sorry this is happening – that sounds like a major mistake! how could they just not connect the meds and not reconnect the IV? somebody dropped the ball big time – i will pray for effective antibiotics and a fast and full recovery. ♥ and thanks for the special words about the blog – that is what makes this place SO special & dear to me too!

    i am guessing that you do not want to hear about how i cooked/baked out of dhs hotel room in korea??
    we did dishes in the bathtub……….non potable water
    dh bought a teeny weeny toaster oven that i baked cookies and whatnot in and the korean maids loved me like nothing!
    and his place was a thousand percent better than mine.

    adapt and survive…………good times………..needless to say we were both quite popular due to baked goods! ha ha ha ha ha
    and he lived in the hotel for a year due to housing shortages on the base

    no clue how this blog works moms! honestly……….i just know how to make random posts and get comments out of trash.
    just chopped an onion and red pepper………gonna try a new pasta salad and make healthy baked beans in crockpot…………….did it tell you all that my fave crockpot died? dh was unable to save it……………..so sad……….it was the regular size with a cow pattern that i bought in the early nineties………..yeah yeah

    loved that crockpot……….cooked on low well
    i have another bigger one, but it cooks quicker, which defeats the crockpottedness!

    Chants. so sorry that your dh is struggling with an infection… Hopefully things will turn around and he will get better over next couple of days. Will keep him and you in my prayers !
    dee.. sounds like you have lived in many places around the world.. really interesting to live among different cultures..picking up recipes from many places… No wonder you are such a good cook ! Sorry about your favorite crockpot….
    moms… happy that your ds cleaned your car and his too ! Himself is taking his driving test today… he is very nervous about it but has done lots of driving with his mom/maneuverability practice so I think he is prepared..
    Hope to get a call from him later today to say that he passed !
    Planning to call plumber today… and will get a new plunger in case they can’t come today…
    Want to mention that the e store is giving FREE berry baskets ? each day in preparation for berry fest which starts tomorrow !
