QoS – the whole book situation is interesting for me because sometimes i’ll watch an old movie with my sons & see something that is homophobic or racist & can tell them how that was “normal” growing up in the south & explain what things were like for generations before them & how much this country has progressed but how far we still have to go . . .

I’m like that, too, Moms! I like to use those kind of things that pop up as teachable moments. And you know…there are things that we would watch and enjoy before children, but after we had them….well, it was a different story. I will never forget the time that my husband decided to watch a particular movie with our three sons. (Sorry …can’t remember which one). He remembered it as being hilarious, but as they were watching he realized that it was highly inappropriate in places for their age (and/or maybe for any age…LOL). He was like….I didn’t remember that!
Well….any luck with the leprechaun yet? I haven’t started my search yet.

So been reading back on the Seuss comments. I feel he had a way of getting to simple truths in an ingeniously entertaining way, I have many fond memories of reading the books when I was little, as well a watching the cartoons and then reading the books to my son. I am not defending the drawings but I am seriously concerned about what’s happening with books being removed. I feel it could be addressed & discussed as an opportunity for growth. Racism/percution is never okay. Sadly, it has been around for thousands of years & it is not inherent to just one race. There are historic examples of it with ALL races & until ALL racism is addressed in an honest way we as a country cannot heal and move forward,

Good Morning !
The leprechaun was very elusive early yesterday morning…Was able to log in last evening and got a couple of accounts done and received a red gummy coin … This morning did not have to wait long before he showed up… reading room seemed to appear quickly…
Left work early to revisit the dentist for persistent toothache… decision made to do a root canal…after an hour and a half my dentist decided to send me to an endodontist…He made the arrangements thankfully have an appointment Monday but once the Novocaine wore off.. very painful…Now Monday seems like a long way off !!

Having much better luck finding the leprechaun ! Wait in the game room and it seems pretty quick !
moms.. not having any backup is one very big disadvantage to not using an agency … They should notify my brother when they are unable to come…. but they don’t… since I have a new work schedule I am a more available. If it weren’t for my dental issue I wouldn’t be so crabby about it but I was up most of the night and am not tip top right now… Looking forward to get it taken care of on Monday… I was able to keep my haircut appointment which I was thrilled about !
dee.. what do you have cookin this weekend ?? Planning on grilling tomorrow for Sunday get together but not sure what I am serving… Will be heading to grocery store and hoping I get inspired !
