Can someone please help
I cannot get into Webkinz for days
Every time I go there it asks me to download the classic game again
I have done so over 15 times
I am beyond confused how this new system works
Does anyone else play Classic and have a problem

KinzGram – That sounds so frustrating! I had to update my Webkinz Desktop App after the “login issues” recently. But when I said “I had”….I did nothing. I just clicked on the Webkinz Desktop App icon and it automatically updated! I wish I knew how to help with your problem. The only thing I know to suggest is to clear your cache, reboot, download again. I know you said you downloaded it 15 times…I just don’t know if you cleared cache and rebooted in between each of those downloads. Sorry if I am not helpful. 🙁 I do know that I “Pinned” the webkinz app icon to my desktop so all I have to do is click to log in.

By the way, I have used the desktop app for about a year now and I haven’t run into the problems you are facing, Kinz Gram. I did have a bit more trouble on an older PC that I have….but I’m not sure that trouble was Webkinz related.

Gaga – You asked about my thoughts on Dr. Seuss. Well, I’m not an expert on his books by any means, but I grew up with them. I enjoyed his books, overall. I love the rhymes and whimsical illustrations. I was fairly familiar with five of the six books that will no longer be published. My impression of Dr. Seuss is that he saw the value of different kinds of people and respecting differences. That became very clear to me when I read his “Butter Battle Book” which I think teaches important lessons. I also love Wacky Wednesday and so many others. Dr. Seuss had so much fun with words and I used to love the rhythmical pattern of his writing. Some of it was pure nonsense and it was magical to me. The art work held my attention for hours. I understand that my viewpoint is from a child’s perspective. But because I enjoyed them, I read many of my favorites to my children.
So anyway, it has come as a big surprise to me regarding the latest controversy. My first thought is how sad that Dr. Seuss is no longer living to respond to the issues that are being raised.
I know that Dr. Seuss issued apologies later in life for some of his political cartoons (in reference to the Japanese). After Pearl Harbor there were many Americans that were biased against the country that had attacked us. The sad thing in U.S. history is the way Japanese Americans (U.S. citizens) were treated by other U.S. citizens. That was something I didn’t realize until later in life. 🙁

glorious here today
70s and sunshine………..dh did a man trip, which was nice
love him, but sometimes he needs to go away
got floors done, laundry done
cooking up some italian sausage for dinner
made a side of fine sliced red and green pepper, onions and garlic
sauteed in olive oil, threw in some fresh spinach and penne
looks pretty……………needs salt………….but that is add your own here
we may road trip tomorrow to go look at a lake…………something to do and dd has remote work and wants us OUT!

gaga – we only have 1 of the dr. seuss books (mulberry street) that was always left on the shelf when we read to the boys for some reason, but I took a look at it now – here is my opinion:
it does have a racist image – when i saw that part, it was like “ooooooohhhh” glad i didn’t read this one . . .
it is this kind of thing – similar to what happened this week with a Miami Heat basketball player – that is part of the “inherent” racism that we are conditioned to so that it doesn’t seem as blatant as other racism, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t acknowledge it, recognize it, and do better . . . i wouldn’t want the book printed today if it was mine, I won’t burn it or anything, but i also won’t be reading it to my grandchildren one day if we have them . . .
i try to live by maya angelou’s saying “we did then what we knew how to do, and when we knew better, we did better.”
