   hey all
   next storm coming in later……..supposedly just going to be snow
   but it is the south. so everything is closed………..garbage men even gave up and said they will start regular routes next monday

   oh yeah – when it was really cold, i took some of the split pea soup i had made out of freezer………..it was soooo good

   moms.. Unanimous ! Chicken soup sounds delicious.. particularly in this weather ! More snow for us today too.. but hopefully not too much.
   Did anyone else notice that it is Spring in WW.. No more snow… wish it were that easy.

   dee.. I hope you don’t get too much snow either ! Saw a kitty running around the neighborhood yesterday and felt terrible that it was not in a nice warm home.
   My mom is getting her second vaccination this morning.. So happy for her..Was single digit temperature yesterday morning… It has been so long since she was out in that kind of temperature !

   hey gaga

   we have a kitty that has been wandering around lately, but it is skittish – i’ve put out tuna a couple of times, and it will eventually come eat it, usually in the middle of the night, and very “on guard”

   i put out a can yesterday afternoon because i saw it, but it ran & didn’t come back for it, so the tuna got rained on 🙄

   i tried putting out a styrofoam cooler with a blanket in it with catnip, but it never got near it – i worry about it in the cold, but our cold isn’t anything like yours

   QoS – i hope no school means you could sleep in this morning! you’ve become our night owl!

   the soup was delicious – totally hit the spot & tons leftover to do again today 🙂

   i bought 2 more tender heart boxes yesterday & finally got a bed in one of them! that’s ridiculous – i’ve ended up getting 1 bed out of 14 boxes. *sigh*

   i’m going to try to resist those ?? themes now – that was frustrating, but luckily 10 of those boxes were at least on a good sale . . . but still those are terrible odds

    Eating Chicken Soup….;) But mine is from a can.

    No sleeping in for me….I can hardly sleep in anymore. The latest is between 8 to 8:30 a.m. So I have felt like…well…not so great.

    Glad you finally got a bed, Moms! The odd are ridiculous!

    Yesterday was one of those days that I didn’t get on Webkinz at all. So unusual for me, but I was busy.

    Oh…just got word that another one of my husband’s aunts died. This is the 2nd one this month (sisters). The first from Covid; the 2nd I don’t think was Covid related.

    3 family members got their 2nd shots last Friday. M-i-l, one of my sons & one of my daughter (the latter two in the health care world).

    Another note for whatever it is worth…..it is very icy here. I have some letters to mail, but I decided to wait a day until warmer weather melts the ice off of our driveway. My dh went out to day to get the paper and slipped, so he said that he purposely slid the rest of the way. I decided that I don’t want to do that! 😉

    Good Morning All !
    dee.. Will have to look for the Lady Gaga Oreos … maybe they are meat flavored based on the dress she wore for one of the Award Ceremonies…sounds horrible.
    I don’t really eat Oreos anyway.
    moms.. I know how frustrating it is to buy bags..boxes..in an effort to get one of the items.. I don’t know how many bags I bought to try for the peppermint glasses around Christmas !! I never did get them.. and finally gave up..
    I see there are new ? Spring bags being released this week.. Wondering what items are in them ! Can’t wait ! Thirty days till Spring !! I know we are all looking forward to a change in the weather.
    Sheba.. sorry to hear of your husband’s second aunt passing away.
    Hope you get to spend some time in WW ! Always therapeutic for me.. Right now I am still focusing on getting the one million family points.. I am up to 70 pets that I am trying to keep fed and exercised ! Very time consuming but I am on a mission !
    I have started my new work schedule.. Working 3 days a week and loving it !
    Still trying to adjust to financial aspect of things but so far it is working out.
    Dreading the Dashing Dolphin’s Challenge.. I am really terrible at that game!

    Oh my god!

    I vaguely remember finding this blog a few years ago and thinking it was such a nice, warm place. I’ve been on and off due to life but frankly, Webkinz has always felt like a good old friend that’s always ready for me to come back.

    I’m so glad to see this blog is still up and running! I’m now a bit more able to get back into Webkinz (I am waiting for the storybook rabbit to show up in the eshop…so im on the lookout right now, haha)

    I decided that program I loved just isn’t going to work. The funding is very limited and I can’t justify the size of the loans that would be needed for it (we’re talking mid-5 figures).
    I did my interview today with the other program I mentioned, the one with the almost full funding and I have mixed feelings about it. They didn’t ask that many questions or give us many opportunities to speak about ourselves or why we would be a good fit for the program. I was left feeling very frustrated after the interview portion because I don’t know how they are gonna be able to narrow down the choices based on what was asked. There were 32 students being interviewed for 6-8 spots, so they have a lot of narrowing down to do.
    After the interviews they said that decisions wont be made until late next week and it’s very likely that everyone who isn’t given an acceptance offer will be placed on the waitlist. I’m unsure about what I want to do if I get put on the waitlist. I do have an acceptance to another program with similar funding, but that funding is not guaranteed. If I hold off on accepting that offer because I want to see if I get offered acceptance off the waitlist at the other school, that could jeopardize my chances of getting funding.
    And this wouldn’t even be an issue if it weren’t for one stupid little detail about the school that already accepted me, and that is that I’m 95% sure they don’t offer health insurance to students. I’m gonna confirm that on Monday when I call, but based on the info on their website, they don’t seem to have any. I will most likely not be working during the program, so I can’t get insurance through a job, which means I’ll have to look elsewhere for insurance programs and that can get expensive.
    I have a meeting on Monday with another program I got accepted to and they also do not offer health insurance to students. This is nonsense. They also have funding available, but it is slightly less than the others and not guaranteed.

    Update: they do not offer insurance. They stopped offering it a few years ago, but were kind enough to leave a misleading page on their website making people think they might still offer it.
