Hi everyone! Merry Christmas! Happy boxing day! And happy holidays to you All.
Sorry I’ve been MIA.. I’ve been very busy trying to bring some light in the darkness we are dealing with from covid to family and close friends that we can’t visit with or hug. .it’s been terrible for everyone! So I spent a week baking…only taking naps in between recipes …I made over 15 different cookies and sweets..also a week of making jerky too..then I packaged them up and it took two long days to delivery as we have friends up to an hour from us..I got shocked by the reactions to my gift.. big smiles and lots of tears!! The tears tore me up…literally..I came home and cried myself I was totally overwhelmed. Most of those I delivered to have become reclusive like us. To me it was just a little gesture letting them know I miss them all…I also sent out home made cards…to that I got flooded all christmas day with calls and texts and few of those people told me mine was the only xmas card they got this year!!! Now that shocked me..I’m glad I got off my lazy arse and pushed myself to do the things I did..just made it all worth it to just see the smiles! A few said, and one of my sisters was one, oh I wish I knew you were coming I’d have done something for you too. ..I kinda got mad at that…I wasn’t looking for anything in return except a big smile…it was a gift from my heart…not something that needed something in return..
Am I wrong to be slightly offended at that??
Plus covid hit my family..one of my sisters got really sick but is doing better now. But her husband though testing positive never got sick…he is a carrier! So weird. Plus my sister broke her foot raking leaves 5 weeks ago…she so did not need to get sick when she can’t walk…I felt so bad because other then bringing medical equipment so she coukd get around her house I haven’t been able to help her! I’m just so tired of not being able to even hug my parents!!! Praying the vaccines really work when we can get them.. I don’t know how much more we can take emotionally..
I have to keep reminding myself it’s for the goid of my parents..but when I dropped off stuff for my mom, and she cried and stood there reaching out for a hug then pulling her arms back and reaching towards me then back again and again like she was hugging me…I lost my composure…that was one of the toughest things to do to not just grab on and hug..
I know a lot of you must be experiencing this to some degree too.

Yesterday was very quiet Christmas… Almost did not get out of my garage !
The snow was so high and the plowing company had not come through the development. I went outside and saw a kid with a shovel.. offered him some money to shovel me out and the next thing I knew he had gone and got the man with the snowplow ! Within a few minutes I was on my way ! The roads were really bad but I took my time and arrived at my mom’s with white knuckles and the beef tenderloin ! She was really happy to see me ! No caregivers scheduled yesterday ! My younger sister opted to say home and not attempt to drive.. probably a smart decision…

Good Morning !
Celebrating Christmas with himself my sister and niece today at my moms’
I am serving spaghetti ! Seems to be everyone’s favorite… mousse for dessert.
We will have a few tables set up …. to be safe…and looking forward to watching the Browns game with the kids !
moms thank you ! Tenderloin was so good .. almost melted in my mouth.. my
mom ate everything but the plate !
Was able to stop to see the newly weds from Connecticut for an hour… have not seen them in a year… Relocated from Florida to Connecticut on Thanksgiving Day… My nephew had on shorts and a t shirt yesterday … despite very cold temperatures ! They drove though the snowstorm on Christmas Eve Day….Took them 13 hours… “white knuckle ” driving… They will head back today… Hopefully will have a better ride home !

I am trying the app today… I’m on my daughters Mac. she was sweet enough to drop it off yesterday for us to use till we get a new one. ours died the day before Christmas. 🙁
anyway, I noticed that the dock doesn’t have all of my stuff in it. it stops in the “C’s” soooooooooooo idk where all my stuff is? anyone else have this problem?
