   i have my thanksgiving groceries & most if not all of my Christmas baking ingredients . . .

   let’s talk thanksgiving – my family wants turkey & these are the requested sides: hashbrown casserole, corn casserole, macaroni & cheese, mashed potatoes, cornbread dressing, cranberry sauce (the can kind – must have the dents LOL), crescent rolls, pumpkin pie, pecan pie

   um . . . can we discuss the carbs here??? i added green beans

   Thanks for all the info, moms! I was originally leaning towards Dex until someone said that maybe the replacement for KC would be food. I’m not against food, but I think it should be equivalent value.

   I have always thought 15 days was too long for recess. 10 is better….

   Moms – You make a good point about Alyssa’s platform being different. That thought may sway me.

   Not tempted by Dr. Quack. Sorry Dr. Quack fans! 🙁

   Yeah…..Thanksgiving is all about the carbs. I’ve done a bit of shopping here and there, but I need to do more. (I have turkey, potatoes, stuffing and pumpkin for the pies). My dd said that she and her husband will do it for me, so I think I’ll let them. I’ll pay. LOL! They are coming Tuesday afternoon. I have been distracted with other things, but Thanksgiving is creeping up on me! It will be different this year. Small group. No more than six.

   I might skip the cranberry-raspberry jello salad that I usually make. I grew up with that, my kids have grown up with that, but I wonder if I’m the only one that really likes it.

   Hope everyone is doing well on the challenges. I managed to play a few roll call games today, but I’m mainly focusing on the other challenges. Cash Cow 2 for several accounts. I stink at that game! I’m afraid once company comes I won’t be able to fit it in and it ends on Wednesday. (I seriously could let some of the accounts go….I have the minimum that I want already).

   littleleaf – I know what you mean about there being enough to do in Webkinz Classic! I have tried the Webkinz Next a little. It is a cute game and I like some of the perks. But I don’t think that I can devote a lot of time to it. I prefer Classic.

   Would like to say Thank you for all of the teachers here on the blog.. It sure has been a difficult year with all of the challenges that go with remote learning !
   moms… it would take me all day to prepare all of the dishes on your menu !
   Will stop tomorrow after work to pick up turkey and last minute items.. Trying to keep it simple..There will just be three of us …which is OK. Planning on celebrating Sunday with Himself and niece . Will be ordering our favorite cake for the occasion ! I am also planning a special dinner … but not turkey !

   Hello all!!

   Sorry, it has been a while. Hope everyone is doing well.

   gaga—Stella and I are doing well. Things got busy in RL and dh is now having gout attacks on the regular, which we can’t figure out. He’s 45 and pretty healthy, he just changed docs so hoping that will help. He couldn’t even walk this morning. Reading up on a gout diet and it’s just confusing. Glad himself is home and you will be able to see him and have family time this week.

   dee—glad you found your phone. I lost my debt card back in the beginning of covid because I was carrying it around in my pocket so I didn’t bring my purse anywhere. It also got lost between the console and seat of dh’s truck. That must be the place things go to hide. Hope the kitten is feeling better.

   moms—Thank you for having all the ww info here. I’m so lost with all of these challenges. I decided not to log on this weekend and forgot it was deluxe day! oh well. Your Thanksgiving dinner sounds amazing! It’s the day to carb load. 🙂

   Not sure who to vote for. Probably Alyssa or Sophie. I love Dr. Quack and would love to see him back, but having another activity just to get a lollipop doesn’t do it for me.

   Hi littleleaf and Sheba, and everyone I missed! I hope everyone has a happy Thanksgiving no matter how you celebrate this year.

   april – my dh started having problems with gout about a year or two ago – same, he seems young, but he figured out that it is triggered by salmon, and he thinks maybe certain types of beer

    Littleleaf.. thanks for the info.. I don’t know how I missed that ! The prizes I was talking about ( Wacky Saucer) Zum plushy are going to be the gifts give out by Santa this year.
    April… Happy to hear you and Stella are well… I hope the new doc can figure out your dh’s frequent gout attacks ! Very painful I’m sure..

    Thanks gaga and moms. Dh cut out all beer about a month ago, will cut out salmon now too. He’s back on steroids now so ankle is much better.

    I don’t know Sheba. I only got the dog don’t know if the unicorn had an ice cream cone or something else. There isn’t a W on a paw. The box says first edition. So there are multiple possibilities for meaning.

    LL – by the way, the natasha’s kitchen instant pot mashed potatoes were delicious! i had to add seasoning, but this was the easiest mashed potatoes recipe i’ve ever used, & they were delicious!
