   Dee, I have a pantry. I stock as much long storing stuff as possible, like a special whole milk in a carton I think the name is paralament, sorry not sure on spelling. Anyway, it is good, and only needs to be refrigerated after opening. I stock rice in huge bags and put the bags in big plastic containers. Rice can last for years if stored correctly. Evaporated milk, condensed milk, canned stuff like mushrooms, water chestnuts, bamboo shoots, baby corn, canned beans, AL kinds. I prefer fresh or frozen veggies, but also stock canned veggies, which can also last well beyond exp. Dates, lots of people don’t realize that. Those dates are really a best if used by…just saying. Also buy things in bulk like condiments but not too much as they don’t have long shelf life.
   I put up preserves,and jellies, pastas of all kinds I store these in tupperware modular mate containers. Flour, sugar, also in tupperware. Salt, I also grow herbs which I dry and store in tupperware too. Also melting chocolates the kind you melt to make molded candies erc. This chocolate can last a long time and be regenerated with paramount crystals which I also keep, I can use this chocolate in baked goods. Cocoa powder, I also stock paper towels, napkins, toilet paper, cleaners etc. This is just a little bit of it..I try to buy in bulk and sales, I rotate stuff and I’ll tell you this, I didn’t need to fight in the stores when covid hit, I was actually supplying family and friends for first few months my dad is only other person in family who stocks like I do, yup learned from my dad! Plus I have a cabinet of just baking supplies, I don’t stock much boxed goods and any creaks I buy also go into tupperware. I swear that tupperware helps to prolong the life of a lot of things! Plus they look good and stack nice which makes room to store even more. They were expensive, I’ll admit, but the best investment ever. Plus spices I don’t grow I buy in bulk, and those plastic containers are nice, and I just use them to refill my tupperware spice jars as needed.

   Meats can also be bought in bulk, and I vaccum pack those which again gives longer life and prevents freezer burn.
   I used to have dinner parties weekly and learned to stock enough to feed an army. Plus able to add fast to any dinner if company should show up unexpected. I probably sound like a weirdo, but it works for us,

   That is one of the things I love about all the people on this blog! The trust and family like feeling here… I’ve tried other webkinz places…didnt care for them. Here it’s not about how much something is worth, it’s about helping each other, and giving freely just because.. and knowing that we can trust each other..

   Thanks for all the info on vegan/plant based stuff! I’ll just figure it out when she gets here. Not sure when. She is at my parents place now. She will be bringing her dog with her! I wonder what my cat will think. My cat is blind and deaf, but she has not lost her sense of smell. It will be interesting.

   April – Nice to hear from you! Good thing you got mole checked out. And that’s great to hear that work is being done on new deck! One it will be done I’m sure the grumpy stuff will go away.

   Gaga – I can see why it bugs you about the cheese especially because of the long line you had to wait in to get it!

   Well…heading to bed. Decided not to risk colliding with Gaga in the morning! LOL!

    April…very fortunate that you had your mole checked out when you did !
    Happy that no further treatment is required !! Once your deck it finished I am sure you dh will be his old self again ! You will have a great place to hang out for the Indian Summer ! Hope Stella is doing better with her allergies.. Maybe the cooler weather will help !

    Hello, Happy Monday.

    Thank you for the codes!! There were a few I was missing.

    Does anyone need the Soft Gray Dining Table? I think I have 5 extra. Could not get one of those dining chairs to save my life in August, but I have a plethora of the tables.

    Good Morning !
    cmpets.. found a couple of chairs !
    Weather has done a complete turnaround… rainy and chilly.. The city is getting ready for a big night tonight… hope to be able to stay awake and catch some of the debate.
    moms.. our governor is going to allow indoor visits at the assisted facilities starting Oct 12th…I guess he felt it was important for the residents not to go through fall and winter with “window waves “… Still feel so badly for all those who are so isolated from loved ones…
    Himself is heading back to OSU tomorrow… he is anxious to get back and get through the rest of the semester.
    Looking forward to a new month of WW activities !

    dee—I’m sure telling dh the hgtv peeps could have done the railing in an hour would have been super helpful! LOL Dh is actually kinda funny when he’s cranky. He chilled out once it was done and they decided to hire out the stair railing because those panels are $300 a piece and if they screw it up momma not gonna be happy. *Also panicking about codes.

    Thanks gaga! We tried weaning Stella off of the allergy meds, but she went right back to licking and licked a sore on her paw. We will have to wait until a hard freeze to try again. Hope you mom is doing well back at home. I hope you get some time with himself before he goes back to college.

    mine had a fever & had to get tested, but once he got the results, they told him he didn’t have to isolate once his fever goes away – i had prepared him that they might make him isolate for 2 weeks, so that was welcome news to him

    Hello, all! My sis will be here in a less than an hour and I’m scrambling! Yep, I always seem to do things at the last minute. Anyway, I got all my codes entered on all my accounts. Some of them I skipped on my extra accounts. I still have codes to enter with Dec. expiration date.

    Dee – Are you telling us that leaves will float during the Eager Beaver game while you are playing?????? I had no clue!

    I won’t be catching leaves tomorrow with sis here. So this is my last hour to find them. I have plenty of stuff, you know. It is the obsessiveness of it and the memories of fun times with my girls during fall fest.

    Well…nice pic of Stella…even though she just got up from nap. And I wish I had a pantry like Chant.

    Glad you son is okay, moms. We have a young lady in our church who is having a rough time with Covid (in her late twenties), but she is home from hospital now. So far, we have mostly been isolating. But we will get with family here and there.

    Not ready to go back to in-person classroom. Gaga – those zoom meeting went really well last week. 🙂

    Gotta’ go make some beds! Just need one made, but there are two in the room and I’m not sure which one she will choose! 😉

    not a lot of games that will hold my attention for that long as i get bored, but that one i like and it makes money!

    ya’ll would like to think i was up baking bread or fritters or something
    but neh, it is my quiet time with the desktop. dh hogs it during the day, but i just the whole keyboard thing! a few of our letters are worn down and over the years dh has tried to find new keyboards, but we hate them all!

    got salad done, grapes washed……….house is clean

    dds cat has her vet appt……………pretty sure that covered my list for today

    I love the fall…and Halloween has always been my favorite holiday..but this year no kids. Sad what has happened to our lives because of covid. No costume this year…sniffle snffle…
