This Super School Giveaway officially starts on August 27, but the recess prize pool updates on August 26. Here is the giveaway schedule:

Merry Go Round – The Principal’s Office Desk is being replaced with the new Academy Tuba. If you click on the tuba, you can watch your pet practice for the school concert!

Good morning everyone! Happy update Wednesday!
I finally carved out a few minutes to catch up reading the blog yesterday, but then ran out of time to post. So since today is maintenance morning, I have another few minutes. 🙂
Most of our school parents wanted live classes, and teachers were game as long as the school kept them safe, so our admin ended up putting cameras in every classroom so that parents had the option. The cameras automatically come on in the morning when teachers fire up their computers, and it’s focused just on the front of the classroom so that students there aren’t really visible. The students wear masks in the hallways, and the classrooms are socially distant. Cost us a little bit, but we got a lot of extra enrollment because parents around here really do not want to do distance learning. Grades really tanked last spring when we switched. I feel like we have a lot of good safety measures in place, with the exception of the lunchroom. If anyone is going to catch it, it will be there because the kids just aren’t as careful with their masks off. They are so happy to see each other! Just praying for all of them that we stay safe.
Sorry, that was long! My kids are off to college this week, and it’s back to empty nesting again. I will miss them, but thinking I’ll enjoy the break. 🙂
Planning a little remodeling this fall, too, so looking forward to that.
Praying for you and your family decisions, gaga. Sounds like with all the issues in that nursing home, she’ll be safer at home anyway. I hope you all can work something out.

This year I’ll be working at the school I was at last year. Very happy about this. Don’t have much info about things yet, I’m just glad to be going back there.
We got a nasty storm this morning as well, but we’re too far for it to have been anything from laura.

inconvenience of taking down the old and planning and doing the update… it is all worth it !
moms… Very worrisome for all of the living on the coast where storm is expected make land fall..”. unsurvivable ” would be enough to make most people pack up and head out but news interviewed several people who were undecided about leaving…and all those bus loads of people heading to crowded shelters……..yet another big worry !

Setting up interviews for home care this weekend… Referrals from my coworker… and my mom’s previous long time caregiver has some time to give….Lots of time to fill up and for some reason my bro is avoiding the agency agreement…we’ll see how things go this weekend..

I think you can put the milkshakes in a room which is really cool!
If you forget to put the milkshakes in a room, don’t go looking in food to find them like I did. They are in Decorations, under Presentable.

The husband got a JOB yesterday! A really REALLY GOOD job, something certainly career grade, and he’ll be making even more money than he was before! We’re stoked, and he’s very relieved. We still have a good chunk of the severance package hanging out too, so we can get a head start on our 6-month emergency savings account. AND probably have enough to either put a new roof on the house, or get a new more-reliable car (both of ours are 14 and 22 years old, respectively, and neither has working AC in the SOUTH in the SUMMER). We’re still swooning with relief.
His new company was remote until labor day, then they are going to reassess the covid situation, and might return to the office. I hope they remain remote, or maybe partially, and mandate masks. :/ That’s about all I’m fretting about now. We’e so relieved.

I can relate to no AC in car! I ran errands all afternoon and was quite miserable. It isn’t on the list of things to fix for this year.
My oldest DD had job interview today. It went well, but she said that it wasn’t for her. Hoping that she finds something soon.
Gaga – Can’t believe all the stuff going on at your mom’s facility! Whew!
I grew up eating cinnamon sugar on toast.
FYI – Going on Vacation from Sat. to Sat. I won’t have a way to do the collection event until I get back. Just so you know. Any requests to Royalmajesty won’t be answered. But Once I get back I’ll be checking every day! WISH I could do everything on mobile and/or iPad.

moms.. My brother is going with me on the interviews..The ladies sound pretty good and hopefully they will work out… but what I dreaded most was trying to
piece meal the care… So difficult to replace for last minute call offs..I am going to stand firm on getting an agency for majority of care … but he seems to be skirting the issue…Hope I have support from the rest of my siblings because we were all in agreement about agency being primary…we’ll see.
Looking forward to upcoming events in September…

Stormy morning here ! Lots of thunder and rain !
Four scheduled interviews today.. Bro scheduled outdoor restaurant … Hopefully weather will cooperate and we can sit outside..
dee.. great idea.. will suggest my mom go live with my brother ! You can be sure he would have an agency lined up quickly ! I really don’t think he realizes what is involved in caring for an elderly mom with so many needs…especially at home

moms.. News from OSU says that they have 3% positivity for Covid… Kids are still being tested weekly.. and thus far some in person classes remain.. Sounds like things are being monitored closely but himself is worried and trying to stay focused on his studies…
