New adventure but with so many additional worries…My nephew arrived on Friday… still waiting for results of his Covid test.. They all must quarantine when they arrive..His classes start on Tuesday.

Hey dee… Don’t have much of a recipe… but I use Bob Evans original sausage for the meat instead of ground beef…packet of Durkee’s sloppy joe mix..a small can of tomato paste..1and 1/4 cup of water…once they have simmered for however long…….place on the bun and sprinkle a dash of Lawery’s seasoning salt and some shredded sharp cheddar cheese… VOILA… sloppy joseph !!
There is a recipe on Durkee’s packet but I improvise..
moms… thanks for the well wishes ♥♥ The bottom line is… We want was is best for our 94 year old mother … Each day one has is a gift.

That sounds delicious, moms! My mom used to make sloppy joes differently, and it is the way that my kids grew up having them. I used ground beef with cream of chicken soup. It is a variation and probably not a “true” sloppy joe, although it is messy!
Gaga – I hope your family meeting went well! My m-i-l is 94 and just moved into assisted living. Already she is feeling like an inmate. I think it is really rough not being able to see your loved ones. Actually….to hug them.
I’ve read all the notes here about education. Crazy world right now! I feel for teachers, students and parents! I have a friend who is a single mom and doesn’t know how she is going to monitor the virtual education of elementary aged kiddo while she works. So many people in dilemmas.
I have a friend who is a teacher and required to go into school to teach virtually. This is her first year. When she asked why she couldn’t work from home they told her because there would be too many distractions. Meanwhile, before she got this job she worked from home for over a dozen years! Crazy! And then…the shortage of laptops…..Just when my dh said I could order a new one. He hadn’t heard about the shortage. I think he offered because I am going to have to use his to hold my zoom classes with students. So many adjustments!
I will be especially busy this week ’cause I’m trying to get lots done before our vacation next week. Looking forward to getting away, but only hope it will be safe!
Done with pumpkin patch protector! That game really grew on me! Now on to smoothie moves! Wish I was done, though, since Cash Cow 2 game starts tomorrow!

i am so lucky to be a sahm, but i have a high schooler who has been able to navigate independently . . . i can’t imagine working & having an elementary – they need so much more supervision and guidance – and the teachers are heroes!

i picked meatloaf since i can not remember last time i made it
and we seem to do a lot of repeats…………..need to do kebabs as we have also not had them for awhile and veggies!
looking forward to soup season, altho i only have one we do regularly
dh soup………..ha ha ha
but lots of veggies in it…………….would love to try turkey noodle soup with leftovers from turkey day, but the way my dh eats……………..

i gave up trying to have lunch and dinner for him everyday

Meatloaf sounds good to me! I haven’t had that in a while! Dee – I’d rather have your dh’s meal. I don’t think a sweet potato would be enough for me. I wouldn’t mind Mexican either.
Moms – I named my Silver Fox “Zorro”. His room is next to Zilla’s room. Zilla is my fox. Thankfully, she is a plush! Wish that the Silver Fox was a plush! Anyway, you can say that they live in the foxes den section of my WW house! 🙂
I don’t mind Cash Cow 2, but I’m still working on Smoothie Moves.

Sheba.. Congrats on the adoption of the Silver Fox.. I don’t really mind cash cow either and have finished one account..Do like the milk truck !
Family meeting went well.. Decision was made to try and bring my mom home !
Need to get everything set up at home. Most importantly is getting home care agency for 24 hour care. Sad to see most of my siblings with silver hair ! Was only yesterday we were going on family vacations !
dee..meatloaf sounds really good to me too ! Haven’t made that in a long time !

dh wants to go fishing tomorrow, so i had the idea to make wraps!
went to store and bought lettuce,spinach, onions, green pepper etc
and deli meat
left without wraps
went back in and they do not have them!

Hi everyone!
Dee and moms, I make those ham pinwheel thingies too. .I use everything dee does, plus chives and a bit of mayo mixed in makes the cream cheese easier to spread..that and my famous deviled eggs.. first two things to dissappear fast at parties…so fast with my deviled eggs that when I arrive at a party people are asking me to stop and let them grab some before I can even set them on tables!!! I don’t do anything really special imo, but they are a hit…specially with the men! Parties get pretty musical later on in the day!

you’re very welcome..I know how hard this is on you..I had to put my dh in one of those places till I could get saftey equipment, and rearrange out home to accommodate him, plus I had to learn how to take care of him which the drs. And nurses actually were happy to teach me.. I actually had to learn to pack an open deep surgery wound and slowly pack less each day to let it heal from inside out, and how to flush it out. I have a lot of respect for nurses now. Dh was in bed almost a year, and then another year to get him back up to speed. It took 45 lbs off me fast. Lol but it took a toll on me too, so yeah I understand the pressures you are under. It’s not easy. And if you have siblings they should all do their part if possible! I’ve put my foot down about my mom she’s capable of doing a LOT she’s in better shape then I am at 82, no lie, but she wanted my attention ALL the time, I can’t do it all, so I told my sisters you both need to take turns shopping and taking her places! None of them were happy..but I have a life too, such as it is, and I’m disabled to boot, they have good health..but I’m moms favorite brat.cause i never try to tell her how to live…and I know my sisters get a little controlling with her, so I told her to tell them she can do what she wants, and to shove it..lol it seems to be working..sometimes you just have to say no!, or enough is enough..the trick is doing it without feeling guilty! That took time…but I got there, and you can too gaga! Hang in there lady! Hugs!!

I think today is maintenance day in WW… 2020 Fall Mystery bags available for Deluxe… I bought one and probably will buy a few more tonight but I was curious to see what was in them… “new” prize was a stone fire pit (boring)
old prizes were meatball thrower.. cow hot air balloon..airplane and autumn bouncy…
moms.. my mom got a letter yesterday from her facility.. hand delivered..have another Covid case in her building…going to tighten restrictions again !
Not sure what their plan is as far as restrictions…I can’t believe they have not notified family members with update…maybe today !
They also had a fire on the premises..Had to evacuate her building !
They were not in danger apparently was in the Service Building which is close but separate… Caused some excitement as you can imagine ! One poor man was dumped out of his wheelchair while being evacuated. .. but is OK
