So much to catch up on! But first things first…gaga, my first thought when reading your comment was, ‘Is your brothers friend single? Is he cute?’ 😆 You never know! Sorry you have to go back to SS office and get that straightened out. You are right, if it’s not one thing, it’s another. We’ve had heating issues, plumbing issues and a few other things going on. Nothing devastating thankfully, but time consuming and annoying.
Sheba—Hope you get your ins. stuff worked out. So glad you enjoyed your time with your son and his family home. Happy birthday to you dd in Spain! I hate it when I have a meal flop. I know Julia Child said ‘never apologize’ but I can’t let people eat a bad meal and not say anything. Brilliant idea to take it and turn it into a yummy soup! I love that garage too, it will be mine! 🙂
moms—Congrats on the Stone Cottage! I got old prizes (Berry side table and Palm Plant), but I can still use them. And I too look forward to gaga’s morning posts!

finished my book that i got yesterday at the library! I had been waitlisted, so was thrilled with poopy weather that it showed up……John Sandford, if anyone reads him……..detective type ………….but a very good read….dh took a couple of his books on cd for his trip up to MI
nothing new………looking at turkey day recipes on line………pretty sure i am going to make the apple/cranberry crisp thing………..been scoping out dd type foods too…………..thankfully that vegan stuff does not expire as quick as other foods

Good Morning !
April.. Unfortunately.. my brother’s friend is married and was having ice cream with his son…dil and their twin daughters who were darling ! They had come from out of state to go to the Browns/Steelers game ( disaster) ! After my 21 year marriage didn’t work out…. I decided … one and done for me ! Way too painful .. Household maintenance repairs are usually pricey and not a fun way to spend hard earned money… essential just the same….Have had a drippy kitchen sink and have been searching for new faucets but seems I am having trouble finding “vintage” looking faucets…so drip.. drip.. drip !!
moms.. your comment about being personal assistant made me laugh.. He is lucky to have a mom who is meticulously organized to teach him !! Yikes… the thought of college shopping is challenging and difficult reality that that journey is right around the corner !
Speaking of college… have not heard from himself all week… Thought for sure I would get a phone call with all the hype about our disgraced football team !! Heard through my sister that he did very well on his Chem midterm which made him very happy !

Had the police ringing my doorbell last night ! Scared me half to death !

Good morning, Happy Sunday!
Not much to post, but I feel badly being a lurker all the time! We had a beautiful fall weather weekend so far, but I’m working on indoor projects and haven’t been out much, sadly.
So, physical therapy is helpful, but very expensive. I haven’t seen a bill yet, but asked just in case our deductible wasn’t met and I had to pay. $300-ish per visit … yikes! It is making the headaches go away, and our deductible was met, so I’ll keep going. Will be nice to get it taken care of before the end of the year.
Going to look up John Sanford … although I think I read one already. You must have mentioned him before, and I can’t resist a good detective story. 🙂

I missed the fight, but everyone is talking about it, so I need to go look it up. There will probably be a screaming-lady-cat meme about it soon. 🙂 Those are all over my Facebook feed.

gaga – glad himself is having academic success even if he isn’t communicating so much – teens are such a roller coaster. i’m really stressed this morning – took some time to pray, think i’m going to get ready for the day & read – try to give my mind some escape. it’s fine, i just need to breathe a little. will be good to have the thanksgiving break!

Hey all! Life has considerably picked up around here. Because I have “So Much Free Time” as a Stay-at-Home-Mom (HAHA), I recently got back into all my favorite hobbies. Maybe it’s the cool cozy weather, maybe it’s Kiddo is 3.5 and I kind of want to help my old self wriggle out of the overwhelming mantle of “Motherhood”, but I’m enjoying my fave hobbies of crocheting, knitting, cross-stitching, writing, and drawing again. A friend of mine is a professional artist, and we do Art!Night every Friday where we sit in her basement studio and draw and paint and drink rum&Cokes and listen to the Beatles! It’s pretty sweet, and now that Daddy can manage bedtime by himself some nights, it’s great fun to take a night off!
Managed to sign onto Webkinz for the Apple Fritter Machine! That’s a lot of fun- I think it’s my first “dispenser”. Kiddo has been asking to play out of the blue more, so it’s been fun to play with him again. I still have to sign on after bedtime if I want to actually *accomplish* anything though!
Been thinking about you all frequently. Dee, what’s cooking lately? We caught chuck roasts on super sale and splurged to make Italian Dressing CrockPot Roast- just a chink of roast and 1/2 a bottle of Wishbone Italian Dressing. Cook for 6-8 hours on low, shred up, and serve. It’s super good with mashed potatoes! My Vegan friend had her baby- I was planning to make them meals, but she’s not gotten back with me to let me know if she needs or wants the help. I’ll ask again, but if she’s got it, I don’t want her to think I’m trying to invite myself over- new mommies certainly don’t need that added stress and pressure. So, we wait, and like pictures on Instagram. 🙂

i have seen that roast recipe puma and thought it sounded strange with italian dressing in it! now i will have to try it
gonna do some christmas shopping on amazon tomorrow. finally found my password………i think i only shop on there once a year……….i know dh and dd do it a lot! you know those change cash in things at the stores? they charge you a fee………anyways, they have gift cards available that charge no fee. so one time dh and i dumped all of our coins in there and dd got a lovely amazon giftcard! ones nearby have the gap and southwest airlines and chilis and all kinds of different stuff…………be sure you check the machine first, seems they offer different stuff……….
