   The bunnies are very cute.

   I’ve been using turkey for awhile. We prefer the lower fat version. Has a different texture and flavor.

   The apple fritter dispenser looks fun.

   gaga – I was looking at the 2020 rates for Medicare part B. It says most people pay $134.50 in 2019 and $144.30 for 2020.
   At those rates, if your premium starts in November, your bill would be:
   $134.50 (Nov) + $134.50 (Dec) + $144.30 (Jan) = $413.30
   If it starts in December, your bill would be:
   $134.50 (Dec) + $144.30 (Jan) + $144.30 (Feb) = $423.10
   If it starts in January, your bill would be:
   $144.30 x 3 = $432.90
   If it starts in December, I wouldn’t put it past them to bill you for December plus for a full quarter which would be:
   $134.50 (Dec) + $432.90 (Jan, Feb, March) = $567.40
   I’m not trying to be a pest, but giving you some info to compare to your bill. I don’t know why they can’t make it clear that they bill by the quarter rather than monthly. They could sure reduce the stress.

   Grandma001..Thanks for your continuing information… I am finding it very helpful ! Searched the Medicare website… Trying to find out what “quarterly” months they send the bill .. Sending in my first payment now… when would I expect the next one ?? Trying to figure what months to budget for… The only reason I am signing up now despite being employed and having Medical coverage is the fact the F plan will no longer be available after this year and was advised that this particular supplement is the “best”… Have not resigned for Medical coverage starting in 2020.. except for dental/vision…
   You are not a pest at all !! Entering this new chapter of life is very overwhelming and new worries about retirement… which looks like I won’t be doing !! EVER …
   moms… hope you had a nice luncheon with your mom ! My mom had the paramedics to her home again yesterday because she fell… no injuries but it is becoming more frequent…. I think the time is fast approaching her not being able to live alone and may need to think about assisted living..
   Highlight of my day yesterday…….A phone call from himself !! He attended yesterday game with one of his suite mates who is from from another country and had never been to a football game !! Himself left at halftime… suite mate stayed for the whole game and had a blast !!
   Sheeba… how exciting for you to have your son visit !! Have a great time !

   I made sure to sign in and get my Deluxe Gift today! I was so afraid that I would forget!

   Gaga – How nice for you to hear from your nephew! Sorry to hear about the frequent falls of your mom, though. We went over our medical plan last night together. It has really risen in cost! My dh is hoping to work another five or six years. We will see!

    i’m sorry to read about your mom, it’s such a difficult process. compare having her in assistance vs. having a “life alert” type thing & care takers coming in, etc. look at the options in your area . . . and if she has any type of insurance that can help with the expense

    i had a looooooong talk with my mother about having a new perspective – sort of a reset of her approach & response to things that were making her anxious, irritable, etc. and that has improved her day to day life so far. i hope it helps her feel happier. she’s a fun loving person, and she was getting very negative. i told her if having a different approach doesn’t help her feel more positive and happy, then she is not properly medicated LOL

    I’m gonna get a holiday roast for thanksgiving. I was planning on getting one last year but didn’t. I’m excited to try it.

    what is a holiday roast? dd is flying in and she usually does the gardein turkey things………and makes vegan gravy and vegan rolls and vegan pie….
    she does make this thing that she has yet to share…….nacho cheese….made with carrots, nutritional yeast and i do not know what else……….she makes it every time she comes as i have fixins and a blender………..

    i found a lovely sounding baked french toast thing with apples……..i will share if it turns out……….

    dh and i went to kohls earlier as they are offering thirty percent off today and tomorrow for veterans…….found some lovely sneakers that fit and i liked. asked the shoe dept lady if they fell under the sales flyer, she said no. asked her if they fell under mil discount and she said probably. so after waiting fifteen minutes to check out…….find out NO they do not. so dh and i were kind of giggling as far what does count? looked up at their website and pretty much NOTHING in the store qualifies! but i guess it is good PR

    I was looking for gardein turkey when I saw the holiday roast. I’ll have to check the local stores. For turkey, I found turkey cutlets and stuffed turkey. Is that what your DD uses? I’ve seen gardein burger but never noticed anything turkey.

    Happy Veteran’s Day! Thank you to all that served!

    Been keeping up with the comments here, just haven’t had time to comment myself. I finally finished babysitting my neighbor’s cats and, I don’t know if I mentioned it before, but I was also getting my other neighbor’s mail. They were suppose to have come home last night, but I haven’t heard from them yet so I might still be on mail duty…

    moms, thanks for the new post! And thank you also for your kind remark on the other post! Things are a little better now that I have a few less things on my plate. I hope you got through the last few days okay and have gotten some good sleep!

    april, thank you to you also for the Growing Seeds Mystery Box pictures and names! Don’t laugh, but when I was still taking my pets to the Kinzville Academy religiously, I would have a Webkinz tab open and the video for the Jacksons “Can You Feel It” open on YouTube in another tab, affectively “playing in the background.” It was my lucky song. 😉 Not saying there weren’t a lot of times that I still failed the higher level classes (specifically the strength class), but the video slowed my computer down just enough that I could get those diplomas! And that is how I graduated my pets, lol!!!

    Thank you to all the Veterans who have served our country!!
    Thanks to dee and her dh and all of you who have family members who have served or are serving our country…Land of the Free and Home of the Brave.
    All radio talk this morning is weather related… Predicted record cold temperatures and significant snow accumulation beginning this afternoon..until Wednesday…
    Last visit with oral surgeon this morning following implant surgery…Will then wait 3 months until the next step.
    moms.. My mom has medical alert pendent.. and 2 different agencies to provide morning necessities… I go everyday after work to fix dinner and get her settled for the evening ( except Monday ). She has shown significant slowing down over the past month..Tried approaching her with the subject of assisted living but she blew me off ! There is NO way I would consider moving in with her…..so we’ll see.
    Emma… Thanks for asking but I have no wishes right now but will add to list if any items catch my eye ! Happy to help you but no need to send anything in return !! Very thoughtful of you !
    Otterkinz… I am sure you will be relieved when your neighborhood responsibilities are finished ! You are a great neighbor !
    dee.. I think the Olive Garden always does something special for veterans..

    grandma, pretty sure it is the gardein turkey cutlets in the freezer. You can sign up for coupons from their website. i am on the daiya list, gardein, beyond burger (or whatever it is called) Amys and whatever else dd thinks of…..so glad i raised her well……….she knows coupons are good!

    veterans day was fine. we got our free lunch……..waitress was terrible
    forgot our drinks (water!) messed up my order………….never checked back with us (so she could fix my order)…………oh well, it was a free meal

    went to a couple places shopping…………bought a backpack for dd (that i can return) and one of those emergency hiker food pack things as it was vegan and on sale, plus the mil discount………….other than that…………yep, we are boring! and tomorrow will only get better! gonna sit by the fire and read my new library book! with chipotle chicken enchiladas in the crockpot…..
    hmmmmm – wonder why people call me and dh firecrackers and laugh?

    for newer folk, it is how we heat our house in winter!
    I always worry about our stash of wood, but thankfully and sadly, we had a poplar from our neighboring farm come down……………woo hoo free wood for us! ha ha ha
    i keep the house temp at sixty two………………with the heat pump thing
