   That is one unusual looking pup, all right. I’ve seen her before and I don’t know if I could keep her. Do you know how many people would just randomly walk up and offer you money for her? You’d never be able to take her out, people would stop and stare and ask stupid questions. ‘Is it real’

   All I’ve managed to get so far were the “grub” looking meal and the watermelon meal. I have 3 accounts. One is Deluxe (SillyGoose9) and the other two are regular. So 4 prizes yesterday and nothing. I’m about to play today to see if I can get all of the pieces of the safari outfit. Good luck to everyone on getting the pieces they want.

   PS I really hate to ask, but does anyone happen to have a spare set of Air bender shoes? I didn’t realize I’m only missing that part of the outfit and my new corgi, Layla Erin, doesn’t have a complete Halloween outfit without them.

    Good Morning All !
    dee.. that puppy is absolutely adorable…Loved the stache !!
    moms… Went back to the dentist yesterday… took some x rays..he felt that the tooth was not salvageable …a root canal would be futile…”chronic abscess”..
    He tried 2 different oral surgeons to get me an urgent appointment… One was unable to see me until August 27th… and the other August 15th.. I can’t believe they have no time set aside for emergencies….He packed the tooth with creosote and put temporary covering on the tooth…..(supposed to destroy what ever nerve is left)… As of last night..continue to have significant pain…Up and down all night…feeling drained… Tylenol helps but 15th of August seems like an eternity away….hopefully the antibiotic will help as well.

    Start of the Long Weekend, here, in Canada. Need this one so bad! Yesterday my body gave out before my mind did. I ended up ducking out of work, early. GI issues. Still ongoing, today. Might actually have to go and see a doctor (and I hate wasting my time there, I’m an older lady, they don’t pay attention to us)

    Gaga – I hope you feel better soon. The 15th will be around a lot sooner than we think. For me, the days just fly by. Most of the time I’m not sure what day of the week it is or what the date is. Oops.

    Choco – I just adopted a corgi too. I’m obsessed with them for the strangest reason… >.> What’d you name yours? I named mine after my friend’s actual corgi.

    Whoop missed 3 days of Lion Cub floaties. Got caught up, and frittered about 60 KC on Wimsey Skies. If we need 260, all we need to do it 26 KC a day for 10 days, right? MATH. *sweats* I’m sitting here while husband finishes off the Transformers comics I was reading months ago (FINALLY!), and moral-supporting him through it while I steered dragons around. EASY!

    GAGA, I also cannot believe they’re going to make you wait so long! Do you have emergency dental places out where you are? Thee’s a few out here- dental urgent and emergency care kind of places.

    Dee, I think clove does work on toothaches. Gaga, I think you can get clove oil at drugstores, especially old-timey ones. Not essential oils, those aren’t safe to ingest, but something milder. My grandma also used peppermint on her hurting teeth. Maybe good ol’ motrin? Motrin is the best.

    Also, I finally got my Secret Santakinz pet adopted- OMG. Cookies and cream guinea pig- ADORABLE! I don’t think I’d seen a pic of it. SO FLUFFY and scruffy. I ADORE HIM. I named him “Tookie” which is how Kiddo pronounces “cookie”, and he’s bopping around wearing sneakers, cargo pants, and a little sweater and looking absolutely snuggly. I luff him! Thank you, Secret Santakinz!!

    Gaga.. I have a close friend that was having a lot of tooth pain due to a bone disease in her mouth..she has beautiful teeth and they told her that she needs then ALL pulled and implants eventually done! She was in tears. Her dh did a lot of “research” on internet..read that peroxide couk(d help with the pain. She had tried everything to try to save her teeth. She tried rinsing with the peroxide..pain is GONE! Miracle for her. She knows eventually she’ll lose them, but not as fast as thought as long as she can keep the pain away. Not sure it woukd work for you..but, well doesn’t hurt to try right?

    Did pretty good with wacky stuff so far. Got at least one of everything except the back pack. And safari shorts. Working on bavk pack now. I played games back to back for the wacker game and got a different prize each game, so if I get enough points should get the back pack this time..I hope. I’m so done playing wackyer..too slow.

    Update on dh. We were told that his wbc was normal after 2 Weekes out of hospital. Then he had bloodwork done on 16th.
    Dr. Appt. On last Thursday dr. Gave results. Said infection was back! I cried, and dh was floored..dr. Sent him for bloodwork that day. We were both so depressed. I stopped at his parents grave after we had his bloodwork done. He wouldn’t get out of car. I went over and sat in front of the headstone and talked to them. Asked for a sign that dh hubby woukd be ok..a bug appeared one I’ve never seen before..longstory short. It walked right up on to my leg, stopped, then walk back off. I took it as a sign.

    Early Friday morning the dr called and told me his bloodwork was back to normal!!!! Was the bug a sign? I don’t really know, but I’ll take it!
    Dr. Is still worried, and is fighting with insurance for a PET scan next. Nothing else left that hasn’t been tried. He’ll have more blood work next week. But dr is still convinced there is SOMETHING still lurking in his body and is positive PET SCAN will find it. Anywho, that’s where things are right now.

    Sorry for not checking in lately! I haven’t been sleeping at all the last few days, and I’m just drowning in “things to do.” Every time I get 1 thing done, I suddenly remember 5 other things that need to be done, too… There just doesn’t seem to be enough time in the day to get everything done!!

    gaga, I am so sorry to hear that your tooth situation has gotten worse! I hope you are able to figure something out for the pain!

    Chant, sorry to hear about your awful experience at dh’s doctor’s appointment, but glad to hear his blookwork came back normal!

    Hope all are doing well at the moment! I really need to get a move on on all of the Wacky stuff before the event is over!!

    Good Morning !
    Thanks for all of the tips on relieving dental pain ! Dentist says it is abscessed and has been for quite a while… He had offered to pull the tooth on Friday… however…. for some reason I have an aversion to the thought of him “yanking” it out… so I wanted sedation which he does not offer… thus the oral surgeon…
    I recalled him yesterday … he will pull it tomorrow… I keep telling myself to “grow up”…”get a grip” and all will be fine… Despite being a nurse and an ER nurse for many years….I am a terrible patient !! My sister is on backup just in case I don’t think I should drive home…. So hopefully I can put all this drama behind me tomorrow … and feel better.
    Dixiecup… creosote seems to have improved the pain somewhat… dentist keeps a paint can of it in his office… ( due to the smell of it )… says it can be a carcinogen… and does not use it often… very minute amount used..
    Thanks to all for your support………..means a lot to me…

    Chants… so sorry your struggles continue with your hubby’s mystery diagnosis….so frustrating and I am sure depressing…I hope that the PET scan gets an approval..
    Otterkinz… Sit down and make a To Do List… and check them off as you get them done… gives a sense of accomplishment and not so overwhelming..what you don’t get done today.. finish tomorrow..

CLE has a really good team this year…the whole city is hyped about the OBJ…. and Baker… and several other players… One of our best kickers (Phil Dawson)… signed a ONE DAY contract with the Browns .. so he could retire from here….gave a very emotional speech about coming back to his beloved Browns… brought tears to my eyes….only 44 years old… wish he would consider playing here … we desperately need some help in that department….
    moms… are your kids back in school already ??? You had mentioned having to make school lunches… seems so early….
    Played quite few games of WackER on two different accounts.. mostly backpacks…still trying for the rug..

    all of you know that i try to keep this site “innocent” – for us, this is an escape and fun and fellowship, but i don’t want to go without acknowledging the tragedies of the past 24 hours. i am hurting and heartbroken, my heart aches for everyone involved – this is devastating to our entire society.

    we do not engage in any debate, arguments, judgements, etc. here. i just wanted to mention that i believe the root of all of these evil events is the lack of kindness, empathy, and compassion for each other – despite any differences in opinion, circumstance, belief, religion, politics, culture, race, etc. if we can just be nicer, kinder, softer, more forgiving, more willing to smile at a stranger, just look up, look each other in the eye, and respect each other as humans, maybe just maybe we can change the world . . . and that is something i love and hold most sacred here – the culture here of love, humor, generosity, and caring is everything i want for the whole world.

    thank you to each and every one of you for being the good in the world. i am going to do more to look people in the eye, smile, and be kind, and all of you are my inspiration.

    Moms, very well said ! And I agree with what you said. It’s terrible what some people do. I’ll never understand why some feel the need to hurt others.
    I always smile when someone makes eye contact with me out in public, most of the time I get smiles back, special from older or physically impaired people, but I’ve also gotten a few not so nice responses, some people can just be nasty, sad to say.

    Friday I went for a mammogram. .one lady looked so upset and terrified that after I got dressed I sat and asked her if she was ok, 5 other women in there sitting and not even one of them bothered to ask her. !! She did need to talk, so I stayed till they took her in. She was smiling and looked less afraid. I just couldn’t ignore her like all the others in that room!! They all watched us talking, yet STILL not one said anything. I know maybe a couple were there because of possibly something bad, but geesh where’s the compassion for others? I was there because I found a lump, but I still had compassion for another person.

    It made my day to see her relax, talk and smile a little! And it took my mind off my issues for a little too.
    of course dh was wondering why I was in there so long LOL
    but he was ok with it when I told him, he knows how I am.
    Before cell phones people used to talk to each other in the waiting rooms..these days everyone sits with their eyes GLUED to their phobes!! I always leave mine in my purse shut off.
    Pet peeve is when we go out to eat, and people are taking phone calls while eating, and talking loudly on their phones. I can not stand that!!!!!
