gaga—your post made me tear up! I know it feels like he’s leaving you, but he’s just adding to his adventures. I know it will be hard though. You will always be his special gagamama! And you will for sure have to ‘join them’ with a smart phone. We brought the sprinkler out for Stella this weekend. She was a little unsure of it at first, but then started to play in it a little. I think she must have taken in too much air while she was gulping and ‘biting’ the water. After one of the pictures she turned around and lost her breakfast! And that was the end of that. 😆

I like the cabin even though it is very similar to the old one. I’ve always thought about making an outdoor camping room, but never got around to it. Maybe this cabin will give me the motivation to finally start it.

YAY back from vacation!! We went home to visit my side of the family- the weather was gorgeous, and we did so much fun stuff! Kiddo fished, drove the boat, skinny-dipped in Grandma’s hottub, launched model rockets, went to a zoo, ate homemade tamales, danced with his other toddler cousins at a wedding, ate his first ever s’mores, explored a space museum (made out like a bandit in the gift shop!), played with Grandpa’s model trains… I caught up on my fishing (I only get to do it once a year at the lake house. I LOVE FISHING!), and I caught a super mega catfish! My biggest fish to date, and he FOUGHT like mad being reeled in, AND we didn’t have the net! I had to carefully reel him in and not break my line, and my stepdad (a great fisherman) said he was so proud to watch me reel that fish in so expertly! I sent Moms a picture- maybe she’ll post it here!

Dee your comment about being a “master organizer” made me chuckle, because a friend of mine mentioned how she heard that while planning Sesame Street episodes, they have to balance their “Chaos Muppets” with their “Order Muppets”, so the “Chaos Muppets” don’t overwhelm the chill kids, and the “Order Muppets” don’t bore the Wild kids. ANYWAY, she calls both her kids “Chaos Muppets”- she’s the “Order Muppet” in the family. And your comment about being a master organizes but things go awry made me think about how I was SURE I was an “Order Muppet” until I told Husband, and he snorted and had to hang on the edge of the sink where he was doing dishes because he had collapsed laughing. *sigh* I guess I’m 100% “Chaos Muppet”. I guess you might be too! XD

Japanese is the language I’ve worked hardest at. I completed a minor in Japanese language and culture in college- 3 years worth. (AAAH THAT WAS 13 YEARS AGO) I’m barely conversational anymore, although I used to be tottemo joozu desu (very skilled!). Now I’m just fluent in reading/writing 2 of the 3 written languages, but I can’t put together a sentence. Its weird being able to read a language without being able to understand it like I used to.
I also took 2 years of Latin in High School. I’m a biologist/zoologist, and I thought the Latin would help with nomenclature and etymology (the study of the origin of words and the way in which their meanings have changed throughout history), but it turns out Latin is just useful if you want to walk about Caesar and war, and Greek might have been the way to go. I’m trying that on DuoLingo too. I also want to learn Hungarian (Magyar), and Hawaiian. AND learn to play the violin. (But DuoLingo can’t teach me that LOL)

Puma- Have you ever travel to places that speak these languages? It would be useful in helping you not feel like a complete fish out of water while you visit. I’ve always thought it would be neat to travel to places that don’t speak English, but the language barrier has probably scared me again from ever actually seriously going.

Omg Dixie!!!! Roflmbo! My dh is a very gassy kind of guy in a bad way.. he has a bad habit of not warning me in the car and let’s fly nasty silent ones…so I finally got ticked off enough to tell him if he don’t warn me, and open windows, next time I will pull car over and throw uo all over him! He is seriously BAD stinky at times.! I’m trying to get him to try the stuff I’m using.
And it can be funny, but sometimes it’s just not, so I understand where you are coming from. I hope it works for you! And BEANO works too, but that you take with your food. But the new one I’m using works pretty fast.

Thank you for the bd wishes everyone. We got to do some fishing like Puma on our vaca. Kids had a blast. I got to sit on the porch swing and talk with my sister for hours. Got to take advantage of that time whenever I can get it!
I’m with you all on the closets … it’s one of the first things I’m going to tackle this empty nest fall. Then I’ll have room to put in all the junk that’s just sitting outside the closets. Haha! I’m in survival mode.

Well, Chant … I ran to the aisle where that magenta box sat. YAY, it’s on SALE! I grabbed the box, hugging my treasure as I scurried to the till. I paid for my phazyme and then I tore open the box … I looked at the capsules in the blister pack. Well .. I swallowed one with a gulp of my cold coffee. Then I read the active medicinal ingredient … 180 mg simethicone …:roll: it’s Ovol under a fancy name. 🙁 it isn’t going to work for me.

dee—I can’t believe your couch is still there. The neighborhood we used to live in you could put anything…any I mean anything out to the curb and this guy in his little truck would be by in no time to pick it up. He trolled all the neighborhoods looking for treasures. I got her the sprinkler because dh was watering and she was attacking the water coming out of the hose. He started moving the hose around the grass just like a laser pointer and she acted just like a cat chasing it all over…ha!
dixie—sorry the meds are a dud.
puma/miracle—your vacations sound so great! puma—I think that little poof at the end of her tail is the border collie in her.
gaga—congrats on finding a dress and shoes! Is the tooth any better? I also grind my teeth and have worn a night guard for several years. (Chant—How on earth did you get your dentist to make you one for free?!?) I paid big bucks for mine, but it’s worth it. But every now and then when somethings really bothering me. I grind really bad. I’ve gone into the dentist and just know I’m going to have to have a root canal. And he says there is nothing wrong, I’m grinding my teeth so hard at night it’s causing nerve pain. It takes about a week for it to go away. But you should go back if your pain doesn’t subside.

waaay back in the day, my fave brother and my grandma and i would go “junking” on trash nites………we was poor
grandma did not drive, so bro drove……..found lots of treasures. dressers, vanities, tables and whatnot
as kids, we would dumpster dive local businesses……i found a lava lamp once!
nothing wrong with it……..plus we would take the cardboard and use it to “sled” down grass hills………..obviously this was before video games and all that other hoo ha!
but grandma would yell for us to stop (in her little datsun 210) if she saw something………but she totally grew up in depression with 8 brothers and sisters, so in hindsight i get it

dee—I get it too. My grandma grew up in the depression as well. She would tell me stories about growing up on the farm and having to stick her feet in cow ‘patties’ to keep them warm in the winter. She threw nothing away and made use of everything. She made her own clothes and grew her own food. Not sure I would have survived back then!

Foody goodness! None of this is named yet, sorry! Top row: Bat punch dispenser and bat punch, eyeball punch dispenser and eyeball punch. Bottom row: spider punch dispenser and spider punch, and three random foods. Not sure if they’re PSF, dispenser, or what. I have a feeling the punch dispensers will all be promo that you get by purchasing 33,000 estore points. And I bet they offer them all in the same week, so you’ll have to purchase 33,000 estore points three times over. 🙄

Now back to Christmas! I have a feeling these are 2019 Cracker clothes! None of this is named yet, sorry! Top row: Hawaiian SantaKinz hat, Hawaiian SantaKinz flip-flops, Hawaiian Mrs. SantaKinz wig, Hawaiian Mrs. SantaKinz dress. Bottom row: Hawaiian Mrs. SantaKinz flip-flops, polar bear toque, pink reindeer toque. All I have to say about this is “Mele Kalikimaka”, which is how you say “Merry Christmas” in Hawaiian!

Yet more random newness! Top row: Whippet Tiles Gift Box, Whippet Mosaic Tile, unnamed bus-type vehicle. The mosaic tiles will probably be a gift for Whippet Puppy owners like the Sparkling Mouse tiles and will most likely be obtained through the Things to Do Menu. The gift box will probably be in the estore and will most likely contain 5 tiles. This will be for people who forget to log in to get their tiles, and for people who don’t own the Whippet Puppy. Bottom row: unnamed Goober science poster, unnamed hammock that is the Signature Endangered Iberian Lynx’s Juniper Tree Hammock recolored. (Lazy x 2!) I’m thinking that that purple sundae-type food above and this hammock are the PSF and PSI for an upcoming pet.

I love Update Wednesdays! We do Tinkergarten class on Wednesday, so instead of twiddling my thumbs around the house waiting, we get to play outside, and I come catch up on the changes during quiet time! Thanks TLL for all the hard work summing it up for us, and thanks Moms for going thru later and embedding all the images!
I got an email that my deluxe acct will auto-renew on Aug 29 (they claim 14 days from now. UM MATH). BUT I bought one at Black Friday. What do I do now? Can I stop it from renewing? Should I just not have bothered getting the black Friday one? If it renews, do I get the fairy raccoon? Or is this a job for a call to the Ganz Estore?
