Hey Patsie… Hope school is going well for you !
Choco… In regards to shoes… Love Born for casual comfort.. however since I wear scrubs most days.. I wear high top Osiris tennis shoes or Birkenstock clogs everyday to work ..Both are very comfortable and have been wearing them for years !
Love the new Kiwi costume but Pizza Palace is not one of my favorite games !
moms… have been following the NBA Playoffs… DId catch GSW yesterday but haven’t decided yet on who I would ultimately like to see go to finals… so far I am pulling for Milwaukee ….
Hopefully taking my nephew to lunch today at our favorite place..Still waitlisted and trying to plan his college future.. Cannot believe it is almost May … and doesn’t know where he is going !

Dee – thanks for all the food notes! The Crockpot Oatmeal was a flop, in my opinion. The positives – the aroma to wake up to was wonderful! The taste wasn’t bad. However – the negatives – even on LOW – it burnt on the sides in my crockpot. I have NEVER had anything burn quite like that in my crockpot. I have at least 1/4 inch crispy stuff “glued” to the sides. Even something sharp couldn’t break through. I told my husband that I wasn’t planning to save the leftovers and he didn’t try to convince me otherwise. So disappointed. I’m going back to my fabulous baked oatmeal recipe.
Moms – Do you and Dee know each other in RL? Love the pic of Dee’s meal & kitchen in the background. I have always loved white cabinets. Wish I could talk my husband into having them.
Gaga – Have a nice lunch with your nephew. I am sure it is frustrating not to know the plans for college.

I found them at work .. bought them all because they were such a good idea and now they don’t get them at all since the new store took over.
Amazon has them for about $6.00/6 pack
A veritable bargain when you consider you’ll save more than an hour of scrub time.

Even if you don’t it makes clean up a Breeze! Not only that, if you’re doing big batches of anything to freeze, you have the perfect packaging, right there.

I’ve been worried about Puma (Nicole) for over a week. Last we heard she wasn’t getting any sleep because of Clover. And Chant’s last post was about her neighbourhood being under siege again!
Nothing since before Easter regarding Puma. Come to think of it, I don’t think she was even around during spoiler release.

Well I am certainly going to try to keep up with you all now that I have come back to it once again. Today I got a “dumb” stylus that I would say is of medium intelligence. I wanted to start trying to draw digitally. It is really weird trying to transfer any pencil and paper drawing skills into a digital form because sometimes techniques just don’t work or can’t work both ways.

I think my final today went well. Got together with a bunch of students from class and we studied together for a few hours before the final. I think it helped a lot. I have one more final on wednesday, but that one is online… aka open book, open notes, open google…
Went to express to get some clothes for work because they had a sale. Got a few tops and a pair of pants. Not sure how I feel about the pants, might return them because I don’t like how they fit and they don’t had another size that would work.

*claws her way gasping, into the comments* I MADE IT! It’s been SO BUSY! Between Kiddo’s kid-party on the 6th, The Week OF No Sleep from the cat and the ensuing stress, THEN a week of blissful sleep and the weather was nice and we were outside, and Tinkergarten classes started again for kiddo and I, we discovered *2* new playgrounds, dyeing eggs and then going to multiple Easter Egg hunts and then the cat stopped being quiet overnight, and we stressed AGAIN, and the weather is BEAUTIFUL and we’re still outside all the time with all the neighborhood kids- I barely have time to get on Webkinz to do all the fun stuff- KIWIS and codes and eggs, and games (GAH CRYSTAL SEAS CURSE YOUUUU- and now Pizza Palace. Drat.)
The garden is bursting, my clover outside are buzzing with bees (Clover INSIDE is buzzing with ENERGY), peas are blooming, potatoes are all hilled up. Carrots are getting bigger and we’ve been weeding them every day. There’s 2 birdhouses full of wrens, and kiddo’s painted birdhouse has a nest in the works. Bluebirds are nesting in our birdhouse with a camera so we get to watch- I saw eggshells on the ground last night, so I’ll bet we have a baby today!!!, and we have a cupful of painted lady caterpillars growing up. THERE’S SO MUCH GOING ON I LOVE SPRING.
Wait til the heat of summer hits, and I’ll bet I’ll be on more- once we’re forced inside midday I’ll certainly be able to sneak more time.
DEE, I have been cooking, but nothing new. Just the same stuff. We’re kind of in a rut. BUT I made this last night:http://www.amateurgourmet.com/2013/01/lebanese-chickpea-stew.html It’s spectacular with homemade broth, and a side of garlic and olive oil couscous. Better for cool weather, but we love it so much, we eat it anytime.
I’m so sorry to have been delinquent here. Sorry to make you all worry!! I’ll make an effort to get back to checking here regularly. I skimmed the comments on the way here, and I’ll go back and follow up more closely!

So your Miss Meow is being a fickle. Hopefully, she begins to wind down and figures out that night time is her time to prowl and not to howl.
Can’t wait to see pics of the baby bluebirds. We seldom see them, here.
The wrens have finally come back to nest in the crook of our apple tree and they’re always so cute. We’ve yet to see bumblebees or robins but have seen our fair share of geese and ground squirrels. Miss Sophie our Chi-Jack is in heaven if hubby lets her run off leash 🙄 then he has to dig her out of the gopher holes *sigh* she gets in them, right up to her hunkers.

Bepsy, I LOVE knitting! I’m self-taught from Youtube, and I adore it. I make blankets, afghans, and knitted dolls. AND I love drawing too, but I’m dumb at digital art. I wish I knew how to do it, but I’ve spent so much money on tablets to make myself learn, and I just don’t enjoy it. I end up giving them to other artists I know in the end. Give me a pencil and paper any day!! Trying to translate traditional to digital- it’s so backwards. You have to think in layers, and think backwards when it comes to highlights and shading, and it makes my eyes cross. I like to be super close to my artwork, and end up being zoomed in so far I see pixels on the screen, and it’s frustrating to no end. I hope you can make it work!!
We visited the vet about Crazy Cat Clover. She’s taken to waking us up 2-3x a night coming up to “visit”, and she wants to P L A Y so hard. She races up and down the stairs excitedly if we poke out head out the doorway to see what she’s up to. Once Kiddo blunders in with us, we close the door and turn on our sound machine, and THEN she sits outside and Sings the Song of Her People at 5, 6, and 7am (we get up at 7). So ARGH. The vet says she’s in perfect health, is spectacularly friendly, and he’s not sure why she’s got such separation anxiety at night, but he recommended a supplement full of calming amino acids and various extracts and tryptophan to make her feel satisfied and restful at night. Last night, she only visited once, and only howled at the door for a few minutes, so we feel much better today. And husband and I are making plans to cat-safe the laundry room on case we do end up deciding to shut her up at night. 8 hours in a smaller cat-room overnight can’t be 100% bad, right?

MIDDLE EASTERN MARKET PLACE .The VIDEO in the Clubhouse SHOWS this theme in video and it looks nice I like the Elephants and can use them in a circus as well. Columns have nice size monkeys on top. Nice to see scale of the room items . But were ALL seeing the video I am sure others noticed . *claws her way gasping, into the comments* … starting the same way as Puma, because I could say ditto to almost her whole post. I am still doing WW for 10 minutes in the morning, and catching up reading gymbos every 4-5 days, but then never have time to post afterward.
Crazy, and I knew it would be crazy this spring … 3 kiddos graduating the same year (IKR?) but by this fall, I’ll be an empty nester, and hopeful that life will change drastically. (Not that life is bad, but it is crazy busy, and I’m ready to slow down.) Traveling to final recitals and competitions, still remodeling the house, cleaning up the yard (LOVE spring!) and getting ready for lots of company this summer.
Tried a new diet Feb 1 (Optavia) and lost 30 lbs. so far. Best one I’ve ever been on. I have another 25 or so to go, but feeling great. Going to take a self-defense class with my kids this summer and try to get in better shape.
Thank you for all of the updates, Lurker! And all of the codes, Momz! I love that we get to keep an Easter basket. BEST idea they’ve had in a LONG time! Now I want all of my old ones back … plus, the halloween ones, Christmas ones, etc. And I’m finally getting a couple of signed posters that I didn’t get last year. You all are right that sometimes it just takes a year … or so … but some of the things I had on my wish list get put on one of the wheels and then I can scratch it off. 🙂
Gaga, I have to say, I follow your story with quite a lot of interest. Amazing to me that they got rid of everyone and now don’t have anyone to run all of the new fancy programs. I wonder how this is affecting health care across the nation …

Dh was exhibiting serious,symptoms again like last year..I took him to ER. Boy was I right, sad to say. Wbc count on high, another infection! But, caught it early. Had it drained, and got him on antibiotics..and btw..this,was SHIRT version.

‘…..cause…..I am going on a two day get-away with hubby and because of that will be behind in RL things that need to happen before Monday. However, that said….I will enjoy the time away! Leaving in the morning!
Oh…any advice on how to get the burnt crusty oatmeal off the inside of my crockpot? I’ve been working on it for days! I tried baking soda in addition to hot soap. That recipe RUINED my crock! Not happy about it! Wish I had known about the liners Dixie recommended.
I made a delicious soup with leftover ham tonight! It was a real hit. I used my son’s crockpot that I’m storing for him! 😉
Well…off to bed! I have a lot to do before we leave tomorrow morning!

Queen of Sheba … this is going to sound really unconventional, especially if you don’t have dentures 😆 Did you know that those denture cleaning tablets clean just about EVERYTHING?
Drop about 3 of them into your crock pot, I bet THAT will lift off that baked on oatmeal.
I use it to clean hard water deposits in my toilet, my sinks, inside the drains, my kettle, in my dishwasher (those new tablets that they are touting called ‘affresh’ for cleaning your washing machine and dishwasher? those are just the denture tablets re-invented and jacked up in price)

Gaga, those stubborn lil ol’ ladies 🙄 I was just talking to my Mom and she was getting over a respiratory infection. She had been diagnosed with COPD about 5 years ago and I told her maybe she should be using her inhalers, now?
She said she never used them, didn’t even get the prescription filled.
‘Well, Mom, you know you are going to have to go back to the doctor and actually get a new prescription, right? That prescription is 5 years old!’
She said she knew … the doctor who prescribed it in the first place wasn’t even there any more. *facepalm* Moooom!
So, she promised me she would go, I will have to talk to her tonight and see if she actually wented.
Have a FANTASTIC day off .. away from that *bleepin* machine.
Puma … Got a laugh out of ‘The Song of her People’ I have a frustrating pup who is very much like your Clover. He gets a notion in his head that he is supposed to be sleeping on the sofa and that is all there is to it. Unfortunately, if I allow it, he will lift his leg somewhere. So he must stay in the mudroom and that means a gruff ‘Go Na-night!’ At 5 am, I am sure everyone in town can hear me growl. Otherwise he is a fine little dog, as long as you can monitor his every move.

Hello wonderful people
4 months into 2019 and I am still wondering around in the dark trying to find the rest of 2018. I literally woke up yesterday and my eye was completely blurry again.
I have had some good news though, I no longer have MRSA and I have a very good lung specialist who I actually like. Yay me!
I have been reading when I can and trying to stay caught up. You are all so wonderful here and when I am sad I know I can find a laugh or good recipe here. Thanks.
The husband was finally booked for a consultation with a different bone breaker to re-break his collar bone and put a plate in it. Right now he has limited use of that arm and is very uncomfortable because his shoulder blade sticks out and doesn’t lay flat.
On to more fun things. I am looking forward to the flower collection in May. The prizes are very pretty. Speaking of pretty I missed Sunday’s special gifts because the husband was being very unkind. I have many things to trade if anyone has a spare Easter basket they would be willing to part with. Or I can provide estore things in exchange. I really don’t like asking but I haven’t missed one in 12 years.

Sometimes I feel like I ‘dropped a rose’ and everyone left 🙄 And I don’t mean like the one the bachelor gives, either!
It’s so nice to see so many people commenting, that’s why I come here, too. And it isn’t just about Webkinz, either, it’s about what’s happening in our everyday lives. I like it here because it’s a pretty safe place to vent (But I am still fairly careful what I say) and I know I will get support without bias.
Plus, the Dark side might have cookies … but we have DEE 😆

As previously mentioned.. I took today off!! Need a mental health break from all of the computers on wheels… they are everywhere ! Work continues to be almost unbearable for me…. change is always difficult I know but this is so
overwhelming … not only for me… but others…The IT people have gotten on their buses and left us to our own devices….
Just happy to have a couple of days off to recharge my mental attitude and relax a little !
