   Good morning! Happy Saturday!

   Ahh, the feeling of Christmas break for a teacher is like none other! And I’m not even a full-time teacher, so my heart goes out to the ones who are 8-5 M-F … whew! Love the kids … they give us energy and excitement, but for a true introvert like I am, I need MUCH time to recover!

   I’m at 98 medallions with 3 left to catch today, so in a few minutes, I’ll be naming my new snowy puppy! Such a cute pet … love that we get him for free!

   Thank you for all of the codes, Momz! It helps so much. I LOVED that gingerbread house and got a bunch on all of those Jolly Holiday accounts … 🙂 Gonna really miss those!

   Thank you for all of the updates, Lurker! And I’m so sorry about your loss this holiday. 🙁 My thoughts and prayers are with you.

   I can’t think of anything I like less than going to the mall shopping on the Saturday before Christmas, but guess what dh wants to do? Trying to steel my nerves for the crowds … 🙂

   Shocked as all get out, I stopped counting the medallions on my main account because they weren’t tallying up correctly. Looks like I might be adopting my Retriever tomorrow, already! The other account is pretty much as I left it at about the 80 mark.I will wait till New Years or whenever to adopt it. It is my understanding that as long as we have the medallions we can hold that pet to adopt when we want to.

   Good afternoon!

   I think I have finished my shopping. Still waiting for some gifts to arrive.
   We are celebrating on Dec. 29th, so you would think I’d be less stressed. However, I have to finish everything by Christmas because of all the company. I may have said this already but I’m so excited to see my son & his wife. They live overseas and will be arriving on Dec. 26th. We only get to see them every 12-18 months.

   I have at least 75 medallions on three or four accounts. Working slowly on the others. That little snowy pup is so cute!

   I probably won’t adopt mine until January though after things settle down a bit.

    I stopped at 75 medallions. I hated waiting around for them so I’ll just take my 25 free ones on christmas to get the doggy. Need to thing of names. Whats everyone else naming their dog?
    Got all of my christmas gifts wrapped. Gotta keep them in my room until christmas eve because the dog will mess with them if I put them under the tree.
    Stores are ridiculous. Went to kroger because I needed to exchange something. I wanted to get some candy for our stockings, but the lines were insane so I just went to the service desk to do the exchange and then I left. Might run out early tomorrow to try to beat the crowds or just go with no candy… no, I’m going to tomorrow.

    pretty sure we are set for christmas, altho dd and dh just left for something…
    I begged them not to get a bunch of stuff for me, as i need nor want all but a couple things………nail files, a calendar, a can opener………..i told dh he could give me the rest in cash!

    i will go grocerying on monday to get stuff for dinner………..but i will be up and out at eight am i hope just to not have to deal with people…..

    when dh was young, he would go there and play in hockey games!

    whenever we would visit family in MI, we would hop the border and buy candy!
    before dd was vegan………..plus we drove thru coming back from AK when we moved here………..love it………….not so much the taxes……….

    dd is making tofu kung pao chicken…
    i am making a ham and mac n cheese and carrots and a vegan apple pie (also known as apple pie!)

    dh is making vegan german potato salad

    not sure on breakfast yet…………which honestly is making me panic
    only cookies i made were some vegan peanut butters with some peta approved chocolate crumbles on top……………..i am so suffering from cookie baking withdrawals. I want baklava, but honey is a no no………..whine whine whine

    On Christmas day my family does lunch/dinner nearly identical to Thanksgiving. We have the turkey, cranberry sauce, stuffing, sweet potatoes, sparkling cider, veg, and gravy. The only real difference is the desserts usually. No complaints here! 🙂

    Good Morning All!
    dee.. Our family celebrates on the Eve…. Ham,cheesy potatoes,green bean casserole,pretzel salad,broccoli salad,ice cream sundaes for dessert..On Christmas Day will go to my Mom’s and fix whatever she wants ! This year she requested barbecued ribs,fried potatoes and cauliflower.. When you are 92 you get whatever you want !! My younger sister will join us.. So just the 3 of us…
    Fixing big dinner today for the Sunday family get together and watch CLE football game.. Serving strip roast, mashed potatoes,corn and for dessert cupcakes… Niece is home for Winter break.. Should be fun day !

    moms… Was out and about yesterday but was crowed everywhere I went. Was at the grocery store by 830 am…. jammed…forgot a few items.. will go back this morning ! Hate when that happens..

    I thought you had to adopt the snowy pup before Jan. 1, unless they changed it.. any unused tokens can be exchanged for any pet medallions, but it takes 10 tokens to get an any pet medallion so I’m not sure what would happen if you ended up with less than that..🤔

    dee… To call it a salad is a misnomer …. It tastes more like a dessert.. So yummy… Made in several layers… I have tried making it a couple of times but it is a little tricky… bottom layer is crushed pretzels,butter and sugar… next layer is cool whip and phili cream cheese..with sugar..top layer is strawberry jello with bag of frozen strawberries… made in stages.. if you want the recipe I will get it from my sister and type it up for you…
    My sister make a batch every Christmas … and some for my birthday…One of my favorites…

    GaGa, YES PLEASE! It sounds like what I want to bring to Christmas Dinner at the outlaws. I make a similar ‘salad’ called Speedy Salad.
    2 boxes Instant Vanilla Pudding
    1 tub Cool Whip
    2 cups milk
    I Tin Mandarin orange segments (drained)
    1 tin pineapple tidbits (drained)
    1 Tin fruit cocktail (drained)
    Two or three bananas cut up
    Multi coloured mini marshmallows (250gm or 8 ounces)

    In a large mixer bowl mix two boxes of vanilla pudding and 2 cups milk, stir until mixed, fold in Cool whip, add all the fruit and multi coloured marshmallows.
    It usually makes a gallon ice cream pail full.

    these crazy people i live with do not get why i want to crush pretzels to use as pie or cheese cake crust………………sheesh

    and supposedly they are picking up my groceries tomorrow……..wish me luck as i do not want to go out……….thankfully my list is milk and mandarin oranges for dhs five cup salad…………..which i can buy at the local stop and rob if need be

    we do something we call Larrapin salad:
    canned cherry pie filling
    cool whip
    cup of chopped nuts
    crushed pineapple

    i think that’s everything – i have quite a few of those cool whip “salads” because we are southern LOL – watergate salad is green, Easter delight is pastel

    i have a recipe for Snickers Salad that has chopped snickers, granny smith apples, & cool whip – it might have some vanilla instant pudding too???

    Hi all! Greetings from Holiday in MI! Kiddo is having a blast with his Grammie and Grampie, and tonight, they kept him for a few hours so Husband and I could have a date night. We went to go see the new Transformers movie- IT WAS GREAT!! We’ve been having fun baking, doing puzzles, playing, decorating gingerbread houses, and eating. Tonight was Grampie’s peppercorn crusted prime rib-perfection! On the way driving here, Kiddo and I shared a mild stomach virus, however. He’s been fine for a few days, but my tender tummy had to go nice and slow with the beef tonight. I’m glad I got the retriever medallions out of the way early on, since I’m barely getting time in the evenings to play. Happy Christmas Eve to everyone who celebrates tomorrow!

    We celebrate Xmas eve at my house, tomorrow night. Appetizers are.. spotted shrimp, crab stuffed mushrooms, curry dip topped with cranberries, a cheese and meat platter and crackers. Dinner is turkey, ham, cream cheese mashed potatoes, sweet potato pie, garlic green beans, braised brussell sprouts, candied carrots, stuffing-traditional and cranberry/apple, gravy, schwartie potato casserole, spinach salad, and homemade cranberry sauce. Dessert is pies from a BC orchard with ice cream and whip ceam. Then we all sit around opening gifts and nurse our belly bombs. I spent the entire day today cleaning the house from top to bottom so that tomorrow all I have to concentrate on is the meal. I’m excited!

    Question… when did they change the number of medallions you need to collect for certain pets? I thought it was 100 for each one? Now it says you only need 50 to adopt the whimsy dragon and tree frog but 250 for the stone lion. Has it always been this way or was it changed at the update?
